World distribution chain, and their influence in shaping the retailing in the region

The aim of this thesis is about issue of detail chain in South Bohemia. It examines their history, development, contemporary situation and next their influence on retail trade in region. Here we find some interesting observation of sector of retail trade sale in South Bohemia. The essay show how it is difficult to be retail businessman and keep own part on local trade. In practical part this fact proves marketing research which was dedicated to this problem.
Globalization in the Light of the Catholic Social Doctrine

This thesis deals the phenomenon of globalization in relation to aspects of its origin, content, course and possible further development. It presents the current debate experts, social scientists and theological authorities, aspecially Pope Benedict XVI., in the most important topics of globalization different walks of life: political, economic, social, enviromental and religious. The thesis also presents future scenarios of globalization to the public interpreted contemporary experts. The main emphasis is placed on interpretation of the globalization process secular world view and Catholic social doctrine.
Organizational architecture of multinational company

The Bachelor's Thesis ,,Organizational architecture of multinational company" sets the target to analyse organizational structures used in multinational companies at present. In the teoretical section is briefly described development of this subject, basic concepts associated with organizational architecture such as globalization, multinational companies and organizational architecture. I also generalized main characteristics of organizational forms and describe their pros and cons. The practic part is focused on organizational architecture multinational company Erste Group, hence the Czech Savings Bank. My attention was also devoted to the management company because of refinements and explore the effect on the top management of the company. The aim of this work is a comparative analysis of the organizational structure Erste Group and the Czech Savings Bank. I evaluate how I succeeded in this analysis in conclusion.
Importance of Transnational Corporations in the Global Economy with Emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe

This thesis deals with the analysis of problems of transnational corporations. It is defined which positive and negative effects can transnational corporations have on the host country mainly in economic and political terms and to what extend and in what ways can the national states regulate their activities. This work presents the largest non-financial transnational corporations in the world and in the developing countries and the largest financial transnational corporations in the world. They are weighted by their size, geographical and sectoral distribution. A special attention is paid to the region of Central and Eastern Europe. At first this thesis deals with FDI flows that are associated with the mentioned region. In addition, it focuses on the reasons of entry of corporations from the West to the region and on the effects of their action. Space is also given to the transnational corporations with the headquarters in the monitored region.
Multinational companies and their role in the global economy

Bachelor thesis gives general characteristics of multinational corporations. The thesis is divided into two major parts. The first part familiarizes the reader with definitions and classifications of multinational corporations and their strategies of entry to foreign markets. Theoretical part concludes with a chapter about globalization, a phenomenon, which is closely associated with development and influence of multinational corporations. Practical part focuses on two multinational corporations, Nestle S.A. and Toyota Motor Company. These corporations were chosen on the basis of different approaches to organization of production network.

The thesis examines foreign direct investments (FDI), their benefits and risks. It describes the development of the world's FDI flows in 2009 and 2010 and focuses mainly on the changes in trends that occurred during that period. Additionally this thesis explores the estimated development of FDI flows in 2011 and speculates on the future development of FDI flows in the world.
Position of U.S. multinational companies in the world economy

This thesis deals with U.S. multinational companies and their current position in the global economy. The first part describes characteristics and general functioning of multinational companies, their origin, development and their influence in the world economy. The second part introduces the largest U.S. financial and non-financial companies and classifies them according to their industrial specialization. The subject of the third part is an analysis of the status of U.S. multinationals. Using the available statistical data and information, companies are evaluated by several criteria. I focused on their number, total sales, value added, number of employees, investment activities and transnationality index. Furthermore, I considered their potential competitors. Relying on the results of the analysis, I concluded if the U.S. multinationals are still the leading players in the global economy.
