Competitiveness of Enterprises classified in Low Technology Industries
HERCLÍKOVÁ, Pavla
The thesis deals with the issue of competitiveness at multiple levels of the economy. From the national economic sector, which in the thesis represents a sector of technologically less demanding industry, through the textile industry to the enterprise itself. The first half of the thesis focuses on defining the concept of competitiveness and also on the ways of measuring it. The thesis includes a short economic characterization of the selected enterprise and its approaches to circular economy. The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of assessing competitiveness through the economic performance of enterprises classified in a technologically less demanding industry by means of selections of appropriate indicators, also in the context of the principles of circular economy. At the end of the thesis, a mutual comparison at all evaluated economic levels was made.
Principles of the circular economy in the automotive industry
KOLÁŘ, Petr
This thesis deals with the issue of circular economy and the automotive industry. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the levels of circular economy principles in the automotive industry based on the analysis carried out. The sub-objective of the thesis is a proposal to improve the current situation. The aim is to find out what level of acceptance of the circular economy in the automotive industry the Czech Republic achieves in comparison with other European Union countries and how it could improve this level. Furthermore, the thesis analyses what is the development and to what extent the renewal of the automotive fleet in the Czech Republic is going on. Due to the availability of data, the time period from 2009/2010 to 2021/2022 is examined. The principle of use of the circular material rate in the automotive industry and the principle of fleet renewal are analysed. Finally, for both principles, a proposal for improving the current situation is given. The resulting resulting calculated data and suggestions for improvement provide an opportunity for future predictions. These can be useful, for example, for those in the automotive industry who are considering the future direction of the company. A positive finding of the thesis is that the Czech Republic has made a significant advance in the rate of circular material use in the automotive industry over the period studied, and a positive trend can be seen for future years. On the other hand, there are still considerable reserves in the renewal of the automotive fleet and much room for improvement.
Zapojení podniků v ČR do evropského podnikání v rámci bioekonomiky
SAGAPOVA, Nikola
The dissertation deals with the mapping of the potential for the involvement of enterprises in the Czech Republic in European bioeconomy, specifically in the bioplastics sector, which is currently a dynamically developing industry. The research relies on a combination of methods and provides both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The methods used include literature search, scientometric analysis, neural networks, correlation analysis, market situation analysis, mapping, case studies and questionnaire surveys. Through these methods, the thesis provides a comprehensive picture and broader context of the current situation of the bioplastics industry.
Ekonomická situace odpadového hospodářství
Štefániková, Andrea
Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2022. The diploma thesis analyses the situation of a selected family business in the field of waste management and presents suitable proposals for it. The field of waste management is currently undergoing major changes in connection with the transition to a circular economy. The basic idea is that wastes become raw materials. They should not be disposed of, but returned to production. The work therefore summarizes knowledge about the circular economy, its trends and strategic and legislative starting points. Furthermore, the work focuses on the theoretical basis of situation analysis and its sub-analyses, i. e. analysis of the external environment and analysis of the internal environment, methods and techniques used within them, methods of synthetic evaluation of sub-analyses and possible strategies. The analysis of the selected company by the given procedures evaluates its situation, and based on the findings, a basic strategic direction and strategy is chosen, and nine proposals for the company are subsequently created.
Legal regulation of construction waste management in the context of the circular economy
Prucek, Jan ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Fabšíková, Tereza (referee)
The thesis deals with the legal regulation of construction and demolition waste as a specific group of waste, especially with regard to its placement in the context of the concept of circular economy. In addition to the current state of this topic, the historical development of the legislation is presented, as well as the individual methods of construction waste management and related institutes and entities governed by this legislation are defined. The thesis has an introduction, four chapters, each of which presents the individual topics in detail, and a conclusion. The first chapter introduces the concept of circular economy, its development and legal anchorage, as well as its basic principles. The chapter also defines the concept of waste management, going beyond this to present its hierarchy and basic objectives. The second chapter analyses the development of waste legislation with a focus on construction and demolition waste and in addition presents the strategic documents of waste management, which are the Waste Management Plans. The third chapter is devoted to the object and entities of the legislation, i.e. construction and demolition waste, and waste in general, and the persons involved in waste management. For construction and demolition waste, the emphasis is on its definition and...
Use of waste building materials to roads
Průdková, Hana ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part collects available information on the current state of construction and demolition waste management. This section discusses demolition work, provides basic information on construction and demolition waste, and describes the recycling process. It also includes the most used types of recycled materials and their use in the roads. The thesis also explains the importance of the circular economy and compares prices of recycled and natural aggregates. The conclusion of the theoretical part is supplemented by foreign experiences. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the possibility of using concrete, asphalt and brick recycled and their mixtures cemented with hydraulic binders. The main goal was to verify the possibilities of using these recycled materials in the cemented base layers of roads. These options were verified and subsequently compared using laboratory tests. In the conclusion, there is an economic comparison of the use of recycled materials.

Přepravní proudy v kontextu principů cirkulární ekonomiky
BAJER, David
This thesis is focused on transport flows of agricultural commodities and food. The main goal is to evaluate the flows on Czech regional level in context of circular economy. Except generally appliable principles of CE, transport should be also as environmentally friendly as possible. One way of solving this matter is to apply principles of comparative advantage. Therefore, the key premise of this paper is proportional relationship between comparative advantage and export. This means that with the growth of comparative advantage exports also grows and vice versa. For this purpose, two indices were stated. First one - Trade Balance Index (TBI) that shows level of export and the second one - Normalized Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (NRCA) that quantifies comparative advantage. To define a linkage between the indices, correlation analysis was used. On the basis of the previous analysis transport flows of agricultural commodities and food were evaluated. Based on the examination of this work, the following conclusions were made. The transport flows of agricultural commodities revealed no principles of circular economy because the assumption of the proportional relationship between comparative advantage and export was not met. The opposite situation occurred in the second group. The correlation analysis proved the existence of proportional relationship between two defined indices. In this case the principles of CE were found.
The shared economy in the principles of the circular economy
EDROVÁ, Petra
This thesis is based on the definition of the sharing economy in the principles of circular economy, defining some basic concepts related to this issue. At the same time, their interconnection is also explained. The whole investigation is conducted from the perspective of the participants in the sharing economy, which means across generations, specifically generations X, Y and Z. The primary objective of this thesis is to evaluate the use of the sharing economy in the principles of the circular economy, depending on the age and income of its users, while also considering the most used area of the sharing economy, based on the analysis. The chosen analysis was carried out through a questionnaire survey and statistical calculations to test the established hypotheses. The secondary objective is then to propose measures to improve the situation in the selected sector of the economy.
