Awareness of Volunteering in the Czech Republic and Abroad among Students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies of South Bohemia University
MARKOVÁ, Marcela
My work is focused on the volunteering. It aims to introduce the Healthy Social Faculty of the Southern Bohemian University in České Budějovice (ZSF JU) and its faculty volunteering. It describes where the volunteers can involve themselves (Czech Republic and abroad) and also the condition of volunteering at the faculty (regarding how many students are involved and informed). My work is supposed to be a study material for students of ZSF JU. It can be used as an information source for the faculty management and it can also be an inspiration for the future concept about volunteering. It has two parts; theoretical and practical (experimental) one. The structure of ZSF JU and the history of the volunteering at the faculty are described in the first part. Moreover there are definitions of: volunteering, volunteer, types of volunteering and its legislation base including the brief Czech history of volunteering. Following part informs about benefits of volunteering and particular fields where we can find volunteers. Theoretical part is finished with a chapter about international volunteering. The aim of the practical part is to analyze how students are informed about possibilities and benefits of volunteering in the Czech Republic and in the world. The aim of my work is set up there and also the hypothesis which have been confirmed or uprooted. Moreover the methodology of the practical part is explained there. I have used a questionnaire method via server "Vyplnto.cz". The questionnaire itself was send using collective correspondence to all student´s email addresses at ZSF JU. There were 478 valid responds from the students of ZSF JU both distance and daily study. Following chapter presents research results gained through statistics of graphs and charts. You can see results of each question in context with other parameters as age, sex, form of study or field of study. The hypotheses were tested via statistics methodology of good matching, called "Chi-square distribution". The results show that students of ZSF JU are informed about possibilities of volunteering in CZ. However they lack information about possibilities abroad. Students of distance study are better informed and more involved than students from daily study. Another part is a chapter called Discussion, where particular results are interpreted and compared with results of similar researches. In the final part you can find the resume of the results and the evaluation of the aim. Students from ZSF JU have quite a good knowledge about volunteering. However, in some concrete parts there is a space for improvement. The conclusion of the work offers some solutions.

Detection of phytoplasmas using DNA-microarrays
MARKOVÁ, Jaroslava
The aim of this thesis was to optimize the method of detection of phytoplasmas using DNA-microarray. It consisted of testing an appropriate method of genetic material isolation, development and optimization of PCR to amplify different groups of phytoplasmas, optimization of detection of DNA at a microarray, and sequence analysis of phytoplasma in order to design more suitable probes. PCR was first optimized for collection isolates, then also for natural samples. All 16Sr groups from the collection were sequenced and phytoplasmas were detected in them by hybridization. Phytoplasmas were detected also in natural samples: oilseed rape (species Brassica napus), red clover (Trifolium pretense), purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), and apple tree (Malus domestica). Using the DNA from insect vectors, only sample 202/6 from the group 16Sr-XII was positive. The sequence of red clover and oilseed rape correspond with the database samples in the group 16Sr-I "Aster yellows".

Models for Stress Testing in the Insurance Sector
Komárková, Zlatuše ; Gronychová, Marcela
The project is focused on top-down stress testing of the Czech insurance sector. The aim of the present paper is to describe the advanced method for macro stress testing of insurance companies used by the CNB. We apply the presented stress test to eleven Czech insurance companies. The shocks applied are designed to replicate a macroeconomic scenario and to impact on both the asset and liability sides of the balance sheet. We consider both investment and insurance risks relating to the Czech insurance sector. An application of the simulated scenario to the Czech insurance sector illustrates that the sector is sufficiently resilient and stable.

Influence of transportation on quality of delivered food (Experience of boarders)
ŽUFOVÁ, Pavlína
In this bachelor thesis I deal with the influence of transport on quality of distributed food with focus on experience of the boarders. The paper is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is concerned with the HACCP system representing the preventive measures that serve for provision of health harmlessness of food in processes related to its production, treatment, storing and transport. This system is required as a part of every catering establishment. The work analyses the legislation and is concerned with duties of the operators and the persons who carry out epidemiologically serious activities while it focuses on the maintenance of their personal hygiene. In the final work I point out the potential but in fact threatening health danger of food. I classify these food risks and suggest some possibilities of elimination of such risks. The final work studies the alimentary infections that are caused mostly by wrong technological treatment or ignoring the hygienic rules. In the work I introduce and point out the hygienic requirements that should be respected, followed and fulfilled in the process and preparation of food. I further describe transport wrapping, transport of food itself and the rules of food delivery and its serving. In the practical part I use the theoretical findings from the first part of this bachelor thesis. In this part I make a brief description of the main university canteen. The K2 refectory is described in more details and I analyse the process from filling into the food containers to the process of serving the food. Simultaneously, I emphasize the temperature of particular dishes that has to be kept during the transport as well as during the process of serving. For comparison and evaluation of the results I chose a quantitative research method. This method was realised in a form of a questionnaire. I distributed the questionnaires personally to the students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, in building of which the K2 refectory is placed, and the students addressed near the main university canteen. The questionnaire was anonymous and contained 21 close-ended questions. Both research samples received the same questionnaires that differed only in the sequence of particular questions. In total, 220 questionnaires were handed out, 110 in each place. The percentage of questionnaires returned was 100 %. Considering the fact that I eliminated two questionnaires from the K2 refectory and five questionnaires from the main university canteen due to their wrong completing, the real percentage of questionnaires returned in the K2 refectory was 98 % and in the main university canteen 95 %. The particular data obtained in the questionnaires were further processed in Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft Office Word. The aim of this work was to chart the experience of the boarders in the K2 refectory who consume fresh, although delivered food. The process of transportation could debase food therefore the quality of food might decrease. The experience of these students were subsequently compared with the experience of students who board in the main university canteen where the food is prepared (cooked) and consumed immediately. Based on two main goals, I determined three hypotheses: Hypothesis number 1: Transportation of food has negative influence on the sensorial qualities of food. On the basis of the statistical testing, this hypothesis was rejected. Hypothesis number 2: Students prefer fresh food. After the statistical testing, this hypothesis is valid. Hypothesis number 3: Students do not feel the difference between fresh and delivered food. This hypothesis is valid as well. The results gained and processed during my research will be presented to the university canteen staff that could use the findings in practice.

Optimalizace algoritmu pro rekonstrukci dat z frekvenčně rozlišeného optického hradlování využívajícího křížovou fázovou modulaci v silně dvojlomném mikrostrukturním vlákně
Vraný, Boleslav ; Honzátko, Pavel ; Kaňka, Jiří
We implemented a frequency resolved optical gating (FROG) measurement method using cross-phase modulation (XPM) in a microstructured optical fiber. The standard FROG reconstruction algorithm failed for this setup and we used the genetic algorithm (GA) instead. Although GA is slower, it is less prone to get stuck to local minima. Several parameters of GA need to be adjusted. We present the optimization process and the optimal parameters for theoretically simulated data.

The Assesment of the Influences of the Education on the Preschool Children and Teen-agers for the Acquiring of the Basis of Christian Faith and the Formation of their Christian Life
BŮŽKOVÁ, Miroslava
The aim of the presented theses is to discover and to compare the impacts of the education on the children in the preschool care and on the schoolchildren (teen-agers) as far as the acquiring of the basis of the Christianity as a religion and the formation of their life as Christians. In principle the corn of the theses lies in the assessment of the influence of different factors (as the family, friends, priest, Christian broadcasting, literature, participation of the parish activities) on the Christian faith of children and young people. In other words, whether the formation of the Christian life gained through the family (from birth up) has a more stabile and permanent experiences with God than the faith acquired at a later stage of growing up. The methods of testing, of questionnaire survey and the method of monitoring the behaviour of children and young people were used in the theses. The outcome of my research was the finding, that even if some adolescents have an interest in the matters of faith and God, this meeting with the religion does not form deep relationships to the faith as such and to the God. Only by a slight number of the young people has such a late cognition an influence on the formation of their future Christian life. By contrast, the acquiring of the Christian faith from the childhood on has other difficulties. The Christian faith of children faces the misunderstanding of classmates and later on of an atheist partner. Fort the maintenance of the faith of the adolescents the factors like family values, stand-points and patterns are of special importance.

Use of statistical methods in rating applicants for vacancies
Rabochová, Lucie ; Vrabec, Michal (advisor) ; Svoboda, Libor (referee)
Nejdříve vyhledám vybočující a extrémní hodnoty jednotlivých proměnných. Následovat bude výpočet základních charakteristik proměnných, testování heteroskedasticity a vysvětlení smyslu každé z proměnných. Nejdříve opět provedu průzkumovou analýzu dat, popíšu jednofaktorový model analýzy rozptylu a posléze analýzu provedu v SPSS popř. NCSS. Pokud prokážu vliv alespoň jednoho z faktorů, budu pokračovat v hlubší analýze mnohonásobného porovnávání.

Members? performance evaluation system in AIESEC Prague
