Aerodynamics of axial wind turbines
Just, Jan ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis concerns about problematics of wind turbines. The document summarizes basic theory based on the law of momentum conservation which is essential tool for the design and calculation of wind turbines. The theory is complemented by number of correction factors and then used in the design of wind turbine for specific parameters. The calculation is performed iteratively using Matlab software and the actual code is given in appendix. Graphs summarizing the progress of various units along the blades are presented in the document. The final section briefly describes advanced topics of aerodynamics concerning other important factors that the field of wind energy deal with in recent time.

Political Aspects of Migration in Czech Republic and in Slovakia
Štefančík, Radoslav ; Klíma, Michal (advisor) ; Horváth, Július (referee) ; Drbohlav, Dušan (referee) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
The central hypothesis of this dissertation is based on the finding that, like in the countries of Western Europe under the influence of various circumstances, in the Czech Republic, too, there is a shift from the originally proclaimed multicultural concept of integration towards individual civic integration. The objective of the treatise is not only to verify the anticipated trend in the development of the migration policy, but also to seek causes of its modification. The formulation of a hypothesis that would apply equally to the Czech Republic and Slovakia was more complicated. While the formation of migration policies in the area of integration of immigrants into an autochthonous society enjoys a longer tradition in the Czech Republic -- also due to the higher number of immigrants -- in Slovakia it is in its beginnings so far. Even some of the recently adopted outcomes of public policy proclaimed the objective to implement the multicultural dimension vis-a-vis foreigners. The actual policies, however, bore witness to a completely different approach. The core hypothesis of this treatise has thus been complemented by a subhypothesis relating to the conditions of Slovakia: the multicultural dimension of the approach to immigrants in the past only existed at a theoretical level, and only partially. Given the recent adoption of the concept of integration policy, which is not based on the principles of multiculturalism, references to it represent a residual manifestation of the preceding non-systematic treatment of migration and integration in the outcomes of public policy. In real life, several steps hindering the application of this model's principles have been undertaken. Content analysis and diachronic comparative method applied on the documents under review show that there is a change occurring in the Czech Republic in the area of immigration policies. Whereas prior to the financial crisis the government would willingly employ foreigners, the impact of the crisis has led it to a restrictive immigration policy. Demonstrated was also a content shift in the approach to the integration of foreigners. As regards the formation of Slovak migration policies, the process of policy development proved to be more complicated to follow. Public policies in the area of migration and integration of foreigners since 2009 and the stance of the governmental bodies towards them have been largely indifferent. The Czech Republic clearly displays, over the course of the past several years, a shift from the communitarian/multicultural model toward the individual civic integration. The command of the language is considered to be the main vehicle of integration. The Slovak Republic declared multiculturalism only as a remnant of the non-systematic treatment of integration policies, with virtually nothing changing in the real life of immigrants. There had been practically no integration policy in Slovakia up to 2009. Similarly to the outcomes of public policies, the shift in the perspectives on migration away from multiculturalism has occurred in the political programs of Czech political parties as well. The issue of migration in Slovakia has so far not affected election campaigning. Slovak political parties do not have a clear idea of the possibilities of related to the integration of immigrants.

Development of effective tax rates on labour in the Czech Republic
Pšurná, Pavla ; Kubátová, Květa (advisor) ; Picka, Jakub (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the effective taxation on labour in the Czech republic and compares these trends with the countries of the European Union on the basis of statistical data to Eurostat and the OECD. An effective tax rate is an indicator that measures actual tax burden on taxpayers. In the contrast with nominal rate, this indicator can take into account aspects of the tax system that affect the final tax. First, I deal closely with the indicators used to measure the tax distortion on labour. Emphasis is placed on the implicit tax rate created by Eurostat and which enables the comparison of the tax burden in the CR with the other member states of the Union. The next section gives an overview of the income tax reforms that took place in the CR since 1993. It follows the part of the analysis which compares the implicit tax rates on labour between EU member states. The last chapter describes the tax wedge which complements the analysis of implicit tax rates. I also investigate the impact of labour costs on the tax burden on taxpayers in the EU countries. The aim of this work is to analyze the development of effective tax rates on the labour in the Czech Republic from 1993 to present and identify causes of changes in comparison with EU countries.

Dolování asociačních pravidel jako podpora pro OLAP
Chudán, David ; Svátek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Máša, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Ota (referee) ; Kléma, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this work is to identify the possibilities of the complementary usage of two analytical methods of data analysis, OLAP analysis and data mining represented by GUHA association rule mining. The usage of these two methods in the context of proposed scenarios on one dataset presumes a synergistic effect, surpassing the knowledge acquired by these two methods independently. This is the main contribution of the work. Another contribution is the original use of GUHA association rules where the mining is performed on aggregated data. In their abilities, GUHA association rules outperform classic association rules referred to the literature. The experiments on real data demonstrate the finding of unusual trends in data that would be very difficult to acquire using standard methods of OLAP analysis, the time consuming manual browsing of an OLAP cube. On the other hand, the actual use of association rules loses a general overview of data. It is possible to declare that these two methods complement each other very well. The part of the solution is also usage of LMCL scripting language that automates selected parts of the data mining process. The proposed recommender system would shield the user from association rules, thereby enabling common analysts ignorant of the association rules to use their possibilities. The thesis combines quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative research is represented by experiments on a real dataset, proposal of a recommender system and implementation of the selected parts of the association rules mining process by LISp-Miner Control Language. Qualitative research is represented by structured interviews with selected experts from the fields of data mining and business intelligence who confirm the meaningfulness of the proposed methods.

The production of series of gastro videos for the use on a blog
Karská, Diana ; Vondra, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Bedřichová, Petra (referee)
This thesis deals with the production process of an audiovisual work. Specific focus is on the production chain of video recipes for the use on a foodblog. The theoretical part first defines the general concept of the production chain which is followed by a description of the production processes in film and advertising, from which derives the production of video recipes. In the analytical part is a situation analysis of video material about cooking, from which there are several key elements summarized for a successful culinary video production. The analytical part of the research is complemented with the requirements of media agencies for the placement of video, which is summarized into a table with a basic overview of the technical requirements of individual agencies. In the practical part is a plan of implementation for a series of video recipes of the Maťa varí foodblog, based on the previous parts created. The practical part also contains the actual implementation of video recipes, therefore, practical advice on problems that occurred during the execution of the implementation plan.

In the practical part there is applied a questionnaire survey which finds the experience of seniors with demonstration events. The aim of the research is to summarize collected information that is complemented by measures designed to reduce the negative impacts of improper action on the elderly.

Exocyst subunit AtSEC15b: its role in plant cell morphogenesis and characterization of its Rab interacting partner
Toupalová, Hana ; Žárský, Viktor (advisor) ; Baluška, František (referee) ; Hašek, Jiří (referee)
Organization of endomembrane compartments in all eukaryotic cells is dependent on continuous transport of membrane vesicles. Major part of the core regulators of intracellular membrane transport is represented by small GTPases from the Rab family. Rab GTPases cycle between the GTP-bound "active" and GDP-bound "inactive" forms. In their active form, they are able to interact with specific effectors and perform their functions. Exocyst is an octameric complex involved in regulation of secretion. It functions as an effector of Rab GTPases in yeast and mammals and tethers secretory vesicles to the plasma membrane prior to the actual membrane fusion. Using publicly available expression data, we have identified candidates from Rab GTPase family for the interaction with exocyst subunit AtSEC15b in plants and demonstrated that AtSEC15b specifically interacts with AtRABA4a GTPase. We also showed that, like in yeast and mammals, Arabidopsis Sec15b binds Rab GTPase also probably in GTP-dependent manner, implying that this interaction is well conserved throughout the eukaryotic kingdoms. We also successfully demonstrated the complementation of yeast thermo-sensitive mutant strain, sec15-1. Based on this observation we concluded that AtSEC15b is able to substitute the function of yeast SEC15 and restore the phenotype....

Foreign policy of Mexico towards Latin America
Škodová, Eva ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Kochan, Jan (referee)
Latin America has been declared by the actual Mexican administrative a priority area; however, that declaration does not reflect the reality. Why is that so? The objective of this thesis is to explain the principles, the acts and the obstacles of Mexican foreign policy towards Latin America. At the same time, the author aims to reveal whether Mexico is a Latin American country and what is its role in that region. First chapter deals with Mexican identity and its determination in the region, the following chapter then describes the evolution of Mexican foreign policy focusing on the actual government. The third and the fourth chapter are dedicated, respectively, to the multilateral and bilateral aspects of Mexican foreign policy towards Latin America. In the last part, the author gives a summary of the main deficits and challenges of Mexican foreign policy towards Latin America and the perspective areas are pointed out. The thesis is complemented with a case study which is meant to show the strengths and weaknesses of Mexican foreign policy towards the region.

Actual health status of red deer (Cervus elaphus) population in KRNAP region
Bártl, Josef ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
This study took place in 2006 and 2007 and includes the results of the 2005, is aimed at verifying the health status of wild stocks of Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) in KRNAP in the Czech Republic. The incidence of parasitic infections was investigated by coprological methods (qualitative ovoscopic method and quantitative larvoscopic method) on the Pharmaceutical Faculty of Charles University in Hradec Kralove, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. In all yards were from parasitic nematodes most evidenced by the frequency Elaphostrongylus cervi, with less frequency in other nematodes Strongylida family and genus Capillaria. Mycobacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis and Mycobacterium bovis were investigated by the culture method of mycobacteriosis and serological methods immunodifuse test (IDT) and complement fixation (RVK) on Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Center Laboratory, accredited testing laboratory in Brno (registration number: 1354). In this study was not discovered any positive samples. The study shows that mycobacterial infection not occur in wild population of Red Deer, and the parasitic infections in gastrointestinal tract are very low.
