Object-relational mapping on .NET
Popelka, Aleš ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Machač, Ivo (referee)
This study concerns the theme of object-relational mapping on the .NET platform. It briefly explains the differences in the relational and object view on data a therefore it describes design patterns which are in object-relational mapping vastly applied. These design patterns are described in order to inform the reader about their advantages as also disadvantages and they are commonly depicted with an elementary illustration. The description of the design patterns is followed with a specification of the .NET framework and other elements (e.g Visual Studio 2008), which are essential to define for further progress in this study. The specification concludes into description of four products, which serve as modelers and generators of the object-relational mapping layer. The goal of this study is to provide a view of the object-relational impedance mismatch issue, means of its solution to the reader and help him with eventual need to invest into products which aid in object-relational mapping on .NET. For potential need to invest in other products than those which are tested in this study is the reader supplied with well-formed rating criteria which are, in my opinion, ready for being standardised. These goals are achieved by generating the mapping layer with all four tested products and description of the mapping process and the layer afterwards.

The Minor Place-Names in the Cadastral Area Tchořovice
HAVRDA, Michal
The topic of this bachelor thesis are the selected old minor place-names in the cadastral area Tchorovice, Strakonice district, South Bohemia. The analysed data include agronyms, oronyms and names of individual objects that were excerpted from the Theresian cadastre and maps of Ist and IInd military mapping. The collected data were verified by comparison with some other inventories of local anoikonyms, cadastral maps and by interviewing the locals. The anoikonyms are listed in alphabetical order and are subject to partial formal and semantic analysis. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to reconstruct partially the oldest state of local anoikonyms that may serve as a starting point for future toponomastic research.

Evaluation of the vaccination against the papilomaviruses at the students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice
SHÝBALOVÁ, Ivana
The diploma work concerns the actual problem of papilomavirus infection and the vaccination against its originators. The gravity lies in the human-organism attack and the further proceeding changes in the human cells and mucous membranes. In many cases this leads to the pre-cancer states or even worse, to the cervix carcinoma. The work is divided into two parts, first theory, and second practice. The aim was to evaluate the vaccination against papilomviruses at the female-students of the University firstly, secondly to map the topic knowledge, and thirdly to monitor if the female-students visit their gynaecologist on regular basis. The theory concerns all the epidemiology, virology, clinical and diagnosis aspects of the papilomavirus infections, including the vaccination as a prevention possibility. In practice, there were run two anonymous questionnaire searches, first aimed on the female-students, second on the male-students only. The questions were focused on the level of the topic knowledge and the level of the both sex students vaccination, including the reasons of their non-interest in the possible vaccination, next the frequency of the girls? screenings in the gynaecologist practices. The research proved certain level of the respondents? topic knowledge and compared the existing differences among faculties. Another research conclusion is that the vaccination of the female-respondents is not very high, only 23,75% has already been vaccinated against the virus. Many young ladies underestimate the vaccination, and have more or less serious reasons why not to have them vaccinated. More than half of the respondents don?t do so because of the vaccine high price. This work should serve the women and young ladies, but also the young men as a source of the needed information. This means to improve the virus knowledge itself, its means of transmission, the diagnosis process or the treatment possibilities; overall the ways of primary prevention, with the ways of infection expanding prevention.

Problems of bone metabolism disorders in C/P with chronic renal failure.
VYHLIDALOVÁ, Mária
Each chronic kidney disease may lead to gradual loss of renal function. Long living with reduced renal function without obvious symptoms and complications is possible. Complications only start occurring clinically at advanced stages of the failure. A disorder of mineral metabolism of bones belongs to the most frequent disorders. The thesis ?The Issues of Bone Mineral Metabolism Disorders in C/Ps with Chronic Kidney Failure? consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into a medicinal part describing chronic kidney failure and bone mineral metabolism disorders. The second theoretical part deals with nursing care of C/Ps with this disorder. A quantitative method of questionnaire investigation was used for data collection in the practical part. The goal of the thesis was to map and compare knowledge among nurses working at dialysis departments with that of nurses from standard departments and to define the specifics of nursing care of C/Ps with bone mineral metabolism disorders. 5 hypotheses were set to achieve the goal. H1: Nurses working at dialysis departments have knowledge in the field of bone mineral metabolism disorders was confirmed. H2: Nurses working at standard departments have knowledge in the field of bone mineral metabolism disorders was confirmed. H3: Nurses are interested in education in the field of bone mineral metabolism disorders was also confirmed. H4: Nurses working at dialysis departments apply their knowledge to nursing care provided to C/Ps with bone mineral metabolism disorders was confirmed. H5: Nurses working at standard departments apply their knowledge to nursing care provided to C/Ps with bone mineral metabolism disorders ? this hypothesis was not confirmed by the research. The results of the bachelor thesis may be provided to the workplaces that participated in the research, they may also serve as input material for a seminar on the same topic. Improvement of nursing care of C/Ps with bone mineral metabolism disorders should however be the main contribution of the thesis.

The role of nurses to reduce patients suffering
DAŇKOVÁ, Patricie
The bachelor thesis deals with participation of a nurse in relief of patient suffering. The present state of the issues of nursing care of a suffering patient is a part of the text. The research part of the thesis was based on qualitative research, where the techniques of nonstandardized interview and observation of patients and nurses in Kutna Hora Hospital were applied. The aim of the work was to find out how a nurse participates in suffering relief in patients, to examine the techniques a nurse applies to relief of suffering, to learn how a patient perceives a nurse in relieving his/her suffering. The research has shown the spheres where patients often suffer, where and how the approach of nurses may beimproved. The thesis wanted to find the weak points in providing nursing care to the suffering, to map whether nurses are active in their work, have humane approach and provide quality care. The thesis will be made available to the Hospital management, it may be a complementary source of information for those who study these issues and the research results may serve as educational material for nurses working not only at the aftercare wards but also at acute care beds as suffering occurs in patients of all the clinical fields. Nurses may only participate in suffering relief efficiently if they know it and pay due attention to it.

Creation of a center for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis
ŠTOKROVÁ, Veronika
The name of this bachelor thesis is: Establishing a centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, system, inflammatory illness of joints that results in destructions and deformities of joints. It is a characteristic feature of this illness symmetrically that it affects more joints at the same time, which are, in the majority of cases, small joints. Psoriatic arthritis is an inflammatory illness of joints which is accompanied by psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis affects mainly distal interphalangeal joints of the hands, which makes it basically different from the rheumatoid arthritis. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part dealt with rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, priority needs of people suffering from these troubles, and a possible centre for these patients. The empirical part of my thesis was compiled in the form of qualitative research. The technique of collecting data was a semi-structured interview, which was conducted with 8 respondents suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, and 5 nurses working at rheumatologic surgeries. The interviews with the particular respondents and nurses were processed into case histories. The most interesting data were processed in the form of categorising tables. The thesis aimed at the following: to find out whether people suffering from these diseases are interested in establishing a centre for clients suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, to underline the benefits of such a centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, to underline possibilities of activities held at the centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, and to underline possibilities of involving nurses at the centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. We posed the following research questions: How much are people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis interested in establishing the centre? What do people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis view the benefits of the centre in? What are the possibilities of involving nurses at the centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis? Which activities can be realised at the centre? The results of the research examination show that people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis are interested in establishing a centre. They view the benefits of the centre especially in seeing and testing compensation aids, and another benefit for them would be attending expert seminars held by a physician in cooperation with a nurse or, under circumstances, with students. The nurse in the centre would deal with the education, and another possible activity could be holding seminars or cooperation with a physician in basic examinations. The activities that can be realised in the centre are exercises under professional supervision of a physiotherapist, visiting a physician, testing compensation aids or making use of professional advice by an occupational therapist. The results of my bachelor thesis can serve as a foundation for creating a centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.
