DIET LIKE A PREDOMINATE WAY OF WOMEN FEEDING NOWADAYS
BORŮVKOVÁ, Eliška
Abstract Diet like a predominate way of women feeding nowadays This bachelor essay summarises the basic information about the most popular dieting methods and the problems associated with healthy eating. The theoretical part of the essay focuses on the basic information about dieting and healthy eating. The origin of dieting methods is mentioned, together with the most popular methods used. It cannot be said that all popular dieting methods are nutritionally deficient. Health risks increase with the level of strictness, and the number of foodstuffs that are excluded. With many it is necessary to use food supplements. The most common include Atkinson Diet, zone diet, portioned diet, diet based on blood group, vegetarianism, cabbage soup, low caloric diets, starvation and super diets. Further, there is a focus on what healthy eating should actually include, as unhealthy diet is one of the most important risk factors in acquiring illness. Ideal diet is regular, rich and suitably balanced in the choice of foodstuffs, which is based on the eating recommendation in the form of a food pyramid. The practical part, presents the research findings in relation to the issue mentioned above. The research part of the essay, carried out using questionnaires, is concerned with the eating patterns of contemporary women, the perception of their body and preoccupation with food. Research findings suggest that dieting and preoccupation with food does not prevail over general patterns of eating in most women, however that does not mean that contemporary women have a healthy diet, on the contrary. Findings rather tend to point out that women who think more about food, and do diet, have a healthier patterns of eating than others, it follows mainly from the questions regarding choice of foodstuffs. These women tend to choose mainly wholegrain bread, skimmed and low fat milk products, with the intake of more vegetable and fruit. However, even with these women we find discrepancy in their healthy diets, first of all low intake of whole grain, milk products and missing meals during later morning hours, or on the other hand missing super, which prolongs the time of hunger. Overall findings demonstrate that women consume small amount of whole grain, milk products, fruit and vegetables. Lack of these foodstuff could lead to the reduction of the amount of vitamins, minerals, and fibre in the body, which could have serious health complication.

Simulation of nesting of birds
Tóth, Peter ; Knap, Tomáš (referee) ; Brom, Cyril (advisor)
Theory (Storch and Frynta, 1999) suggest that in a process of the evolution some species acquire ability to select better habitats upon presence of habitat features which correlate with expected tness. As far as we know this theory was not yet tested with computational agent-based model. In this thesis we introduce computational agent-based model describing life cycle of autonomous agents in their habitat for studying evolution of habitat selection according to the theory. Results of the simulation show ability of the agents to adopt on differenct habitats by acquision of proper cognitive clues and formation of separate groups of agents within species.

Dvořák, Michal ; Čipera, Jan (advisor) ; Bílek, Martin (referee) ; Havlíček, David (referee)
13. Summary At the end I have found out that all the main and partial goals identified at the beginning of the work have been fulfilled and the stated hypothesis has been confirmed. The results of the educational material analysis show that there is no any satisfactory complex educational program on the market. The questionnaire investigation between teachers and pupils acknowledged the present trend of using computers in education. It was explicitly demonstrated the interest at the both side oť the utilization in education system. The most of teachers appreciate the possibility to edit the Program according to the current needs. The chosen technology DHTML allows any user with the basic computer literacy and at least elementary knowledge of HTML to modify and adjust the Program in compliance with the actual conditions. On the basis of the facts established by enquiry I have created the Interactive Flexible Program "Chemistry of Sulfur" in order to all requirements on the modern didactic instrument specified for self-study. I have verified the created IFp during the study on some secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The results proofed the main research hypothesis of this work that the self-study with IFP contributes to the better results within learning of chernistry. I only did not succeed in the...

Use and design of small computer networks
Winkelbauer, Erik ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
This paper deals with small computer local area networks. It introduces basic information used to understand mentioned facts and attempts to point out uncommon possibilities of its usage. First, evolution of computer networks is described along with networking basics. Subsequently paper advices how to choose and how to wire twisted pair cable and contains method of sharing cable both for phone and Ethernet signal. Next chapter is about network discovery, performed on Windows and designated applications, specifically Overlook Fing and Nmap. Difference between managed and unmanaged switches, from technological and operational point of view, is being discussed. Goal of chapter about internet connection sharing is an address and port translation configuration on networking devices for small networks and Cisco routers, as well as configuration of application proxy server. Aim of accessing inner network resources from outer network is solved by port forwarding, tested on Apache and Filezilla applications. Virtual network is represented by virtual local area network and virtual private network in last chapter. Configuration of virtual local area network on Cisco devices and its description can be found here. Further it is possible to read basic information about virtual private networks and their configuration, represented by Windows VPN and OpenVPN.

Aortic annulus and ascending aorta: comparison of preoperative and periooperative measurement in patients with aortic stenosis Introduction Precise determination of the aortic annulus size constitutes an integral part of the preoperative evaluation prior to aortic valve replacement. It enables the estimation of the size of prosthesis to be implanted. Knowledge of the size of the ascending aorta is required in the preoperative analysis and monitoring of its dilation enables the precise timing of the operation. Our goal was to compare the precision of measurement of the aortic annulus and ascending aorta using magnetic resonance (MR), multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT), transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), and transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in patients with degenerative aortic stenosis. Materials and Methods 15 patients (9 males and 6 females, mean age 68.8 + 7,1 years,) indicated for aortic valve replacement due to degenerative aortic stenosis were enrolled into this prospective study. The study followed the principles established in the Declaration of Helsinki. The protocol was accepted by the local ethical board and informed consent was obtained from each patient. The study was performed in a tertiary medical centre. Preoperatively, TTE was performed in all patients, while TEE was...

Nucleation of quantum dots
Kulveit, Jan ; Polák, Karel (referee) ; Demo, Pavel (advisor)
Quantum dots are increasingly important in many fields of science. Aminy other methods, quantum dots can also be formed by nucleation processes. In present work we study early stage of nucleation in NaCl and KCl crystals doped with PbCl2. Defect energies of small Pb clusters were calculated using numerical lattice methods. In NaCl-Pb system most stable small clusters have planar structure in {1; 1; 1}Na host lattice plane and intermittent planar phase nucleates. In contrast in KCl-Pb system small clusters with Suzuki phase structure are most stable and Suzuki phase nucleates. Formation of Suzuki phase hinders further transition to stable structure. These results of computer simulation are in agreemend with experimentally observed differences in KCl-Pb and NaCl-Pb systems behavior.

Modelling of oxygen-enhanced combustion process
Naď, Martin ; Juřena, Tomáš (referee) ; Bělohradský, Petr (advisor)
The main purpose of the master´s thesis is the experimental study and the mathematical modelling of the combustion process in which the combustion air is enriched with the high-purity oxygen, i.e. the oxygen content is more than 21 %. This combustion technology is called as the oxygen-enhanced combustion (OEC). Since the experimental work required the manipulation with the pure oxygen, a part of the thesis is focused on risks and necessary safety associated therewith. The detailed description of the combustion chamber as well as of the components necessary for the operation of OEC is included. The main part of the thesis is the computational model of the combustion chamber and the simulation of OEC using CFD methods. The numerical results were then compared with the experimental data acquired during the combustion tests, namely the heat flux distribution along the combustion chamber and the distribution of in-flame temperatures in the horizontal symmetry plane of the chamber.
