Development of POS system application with support of EET for retail trade

The goal of this thesis is to design and develop an application software for the POS system. The main criterion of the developed system is to support online registration of sales, which meets the requirements stated by the Act no. 112/2016 Coll., on Registration of Sales. In this thesis the POS system is designated to support processes of retail trade. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the POS system and its components. To solve the issue of online registration of sales, an analysis of the legislation and the market with the POS systems was made. The thesis also presents an analysis of the processes and requirements, a solution design and the implementation of applications based on Java. To test the functionality of the developed application a test case was used. The final chapter summarizes the content of the thesis and outlines possible future developments. The output of this paper is a functional POS application, which will be available for download under open-source license. This paper could also serve as a business guide to understand the topic of POS systems and online registration of sales.
Usage of Design Patterns in Software Development

The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.
Application Development for Financial Advisors

The modern time is characterized by strong competition in almost every field of doing, customers expect better and better services, demands are growing permanently. Capability to satisfy customers´ expectations became one of the key success factors. In many cases is this capability of delivering additional value the only significant benefit which differ you from competition. Customers rely on impressions and image of the company more and more. This work does not deal with complex customer relationship management, but is aimed at improving the position of financial advisors/consultants in this area. The purpose of application, designed in this work, is to improve effectiveness and save time in every day’s life which is wasted for unnecessary searching and browsing records. This goal is connected with capability of application to deliver methods which make possible easy and effective client portfolio management.
Customer proprietary information system

The work deals with the development of custom business information systems for ISPs. The information system consists of two main modules – the user module, which manages all the necessary data and hardware module, which contains information on technical equipment and network infrastructure of company with links to transmitted data monitors. The information system is running on Linux server.
Development of application with support of electronic records of sales

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and develop application as a support for small businesses in the field of hospitality. This study describes process of designing the application and analyzing business processes. Study also contains analysis of the market applications. Within the design the readers are informed about the issue of introducing electronic records of sales in the Czech Republic. The first part describes similar, existing applications. In according to an analysis of existing applications, there are written the basic requirements on the application which is designed in this study. Description and analysis of processes in small businesses operating in the hospitality industry follows. Based on the description of the business process are defined functional and nonfunctional requirements for application which are further related with application use case scenarios. Furthermore there is a description of application design using language UML. Part of the application design is to design classes, database and design of graphical user interface. There is a description of all the tools and technologies that are used for developing application for itself , so readers can see what are the mainly benefits of using the Java programming language, platform for developing graphical user interface JavaFX and the benefits of object-relational mapping hibernate which was used. The next part describes the testing of application by test scenarios. This part also includes a description of testing application by live operation. In the end of the study there is a user's manual. The manual includes the basic elements of control. Includes how to run the application and furthermore instructions how using it for the main purpose which it was designed for. The following is a description of other cases which may be utilized.
iOS application for sales representative

This bachelor`s thesis demonstrates design and development of an iOS application. The development was approached according to Metodika pro male softwarové projekty methodology and that is the reason why most parts of the thesis are processed accordingly to templates offered by the methodology. The thesis transcribes the development from its very first requirements made by professionals over the analysis and concrete specification of those requirements, furthermore it defines application architecture and finally implements it. Thesis also includes a user guide for the application. From author`s point of view the application itself is unique on the market and it innovates the industrial area of deployment. The application is targeted for sales representatives, who perform countless business visits in a year. The application optimizes and fasten a business trips planning, it centralizes data management of customers and visits. And mainly it is mobile and that is why it is able automate the process of visits recording.
CRM application development in PHP language using MVC architecture

This bachelor's thesis deals with CRM systems development using PHP language. This work contains a complete analysis which is used as a base for system design and afterwards programming. Application design uses MVC architecture, which is described both generally and for web use. At the end I described methodology of setting the system on production server.
Development of web applications for mobile phones

This bachelor work aims to describe the technologies used for developing mobile web applications, explain the differences between developing desktop application and mobile application, and give an example of mobile application. In addition to web application are in the work also mentioned the native application. Further the work analyzes mobile platforms and devices, and describes the differences between it. For web application development are described the most frequently used frameworks such as jQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch, etc. Work also describes the development environments and emulators that support the creation of mobile web application. For a given topic, there is a very austere literature and even fewer resources in the Czech language, so I decided to prepare this topic. The goal is achieved by gradually injected in to the topic, describing the current market situation and probable development of the sector. Subsequently are processed and explained most used technologies and principles of their use, especially using the programing language JavaScript. At the end of the work is created a sample application that demonstrates the possibilities of the web and also native applications.
Facebook API

Bachelor Thesis deals with Facebook Platform utilization in web application development. Thesis is devided into five chapters, three of them are theoretical and two are pracical. First chapter deals with web APIs in general view and provides information about the basic comunication methods. The second chapter focuses on Facebook architecture, specific Facebook APIs, FQL and the Facebook Platform. The third chapter introduces Facebook Developer tools, CakePHP framework and describes setting up a new Facebook application. In second part, the theoretical information is used in development of particular Facebook application based on CakePHP framework. The objectives of Bachelor Thesis are to provide information necessary for designing and building Facebook applications and to define a set of recommendations for development and running Facebook applications. The output of Bachelor thesis is a working Facebook application used to support music website hlasite.cz.
Developing Web applications with regard to the specific needs of the contracting authority

Bachelor's thesis deals with development of web applications and is divided into 2 parts, the first one is theoretical and the other is practical. The theoretical part discusses about the history and todays status of web applications and web as a whole with a small view into the future. Another section deals with an architecture of web applications (modularity, database design, structure of storage, etc.). The last section of the first part describes elements which are needed for developing of web aplications, i.e. database, aplication server and programming language. Practical part describes the development of the reservation system based on Apache + PHP + PostgreSQL according to client's requirements. This section contains a list of requirements (for example need of domain registration, role definition for user access, etc.), practical instructions how to use the application (eventually how to pay attention to administration of database), information about how web application works from the perspective of the programmer (such as proces of including all modules into every page) and the content of the last sub-section is the procedure how to run the reservation system on a server.
