The Life Style of People Working as Healty Life Style Advisors.
JANOŠOVÁ, Kateřina
Lifestyle belongs to the most significant factors that influence our health. Lifestyle of most people at the beginning of the 21st century is rather alarming. Healthy lifestyle counselling provides basic range of tests and examinations that determine the level of individual risk of a client. Risk analysis enables to recommend an optimum change in nutrition, alcohol consumption, smoking habits, physical activity and stress management. The thesis is divided in the theoretical and practical part. The first part introduces theoretical determination of the issue. It deals with the concept of lifestyle and questions that influence health factors. In the practical part the research results are presented. The research focused on the description of lifestyle of healthy lifestyle counsellors. I used the method of a questionnaire and I processed the obtained data statistically. The research set consisted of 153 respondents working in the field of healthy lifestyle counselling. The control group consisted of 438 employees of Public Health Protection bodies. Based on the research I have concluded that healthy lifestyle counsellors are aware of the importance to keep healthy lifestyle, however, they do not always follow the particular recommendations. Main problems are above all a lack of physical activity, insufficient consumption of fish and legumes.

Emergency water supply in crisis situations
DUŠKOVÁ, Radka
The following diploma thesis deals with those problems related to the emergency water supply in crisis situations in the South Bohemian Region and with working procedures related to protection of residents during preparation and application of the emergency water supply. The objective of this diploma thesis is to determine those special characteristics of the emergency water supply in crisis situations and to compare the possibilities of the emergency water supply in crisis situations in selected regions. The theoretical part provides a basic survey of legislation related to the topic, as well as that of other methodical documents which are necessary for solving this type of crisis. Furthermore, the theoretical part unifies selected specialised terminology and characterizes the system of the regular (non-emergency) water supply, which represents the basic pillar for the emergency water supply. Last but not least, the theoretical part summarises those problems related to the emergency water supply and risk factors that can cause or significantly influence it. The practical part deals with those characteristics and their comparison of the selected regions in the South Bohemian Region, by using those specific indicators that are related to the water supply. The quantitative research was carried out by using the definition of what the special characteristics of the emergency drinking water supply are, in 17 administration districts of municipalities with extended competence in the South Bohemian Region. The data provided by the Czech Statistical Office were also used. Furthermore, a description statistics of the differences between the individual administrative districts of these municipalities with extended competence in the South Bohemian Region was carried out, as well as the quantification of those identified special characteristics of the emergency water supply. Finally, a statistical investigation of the identified special characteristics was carried out, as well as a test of a distribution-free hypothesis about the division of statistical data. Based upon the research that has been carried out, the final part of this thesis confirms two stipulated hypotheses about the dependence of the emergency water supply in crisis situations, based upon specific local conditions and about preparedness of the crisis management authorities for situations which would require an emergency water supply.

Hlaváčová, Marcela
The diploma thesis provides basic characteristics of short rotation coppice plantations, then the most significant short rotation coppice species cultivated in the Czech Republic are described. The detailed description of particular Populus L. clone J-105 grown at the plantation of the Test Station Domanínek Ltd. follows. Afterwards, key determinants of short rotation coppice yield are presented in the text. The last theoretical part of the thesis deals with water use efficiency (WUE) with emphasis on the method used at the experimental plantation in Domanínek. The methods of sap flow measurements and biomass determinations are described for this purpose. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis is to determine WUE of 16 measured trees where sap flow measuring systems were installed. These trees are divided into 3 cohorts according to diameters at breast height (DBH) at the beginning of the growing season 2013. The additional measurements were carried out: phenological imaging, soil moisture measurements, LAI measurements and sapwood area determination. The statistical analysis of WUE did not show any statistically significant differences between values of WUE for individual cohorts. Only in May, the statistically significant difference between cohort 1 (trees with the thickest stems) and cohort 3 (trees with the lowest values of DBH) appeared.

Costs of providing nursing and rehabilitation care in institutions of social services.
SKRUŽNÁ, Andrea
The dissertation themed "Costs of providing nursing and rehabilitation care in institutions of social services." maps out current issues in provision of health care in the residential facilities of social services. The dissertation focused on analysis of expenses for provision of nursing and rehabilitation care in residential facilities of social services. The theory part is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, I deal with the social services in the European Union and in the Czech Republic. Further, I describe the system of long-term care. The second chapter focuses on residential facilities of the social services, their division by types and specification of their basic activities. In the third chapter, I describe funding of the residential facilities of the social services, where I focus on description of each funding source. The fourth chapter is focused on health care in the residential facilities of the social services. I describe author's expertise of general nurse in the social services, the list of tasks of health care for the expertise, conditions for indication of health care, the ways for payments of health care by health insurance companies, and audits of the reported health care conducted by the health insurance companies. The last chapter deals with the issues related to per os administration of drugs in the residential facilities of the social services. The practical part of the dissertation consists of my own quantitative research. Described is methodology for data collection; in addition, the research set is characterized, and the research implementation description is given. Results of obtained data were processed in two chapters where structure of users of facilities as well as health care provided to the user was described in a statistical way using tables and graphs. Thereafter, discussion on results obtained was made. The research survey was performed in Senior House in Roudnice nad Labem (hereinafter referred to as "the facility") in November 2013, where data was collected for period from 18 to 24 November 2013. The facility provides social service of senior house and social service of a house with a special regime to its users. At the moment of the research, there were 129 users, of which 95 received health care from health care employees of the facility. Two hypotheses were defined for the dissertation. The hypothesis No. 1 is: The number of health care professionals in the residential facilities of the social services corresponds to time demands for health care indicated by a general practitioner. The hypothesis No. 2: Administration of medical therapy per os as indicated by a general practitioner is the most frequent health care service provided to the users of the residential facilities of the social services. The research confirmed both hypotheses. I can see importance of results of the dissertation particularly in that they outlined how the medical care in the residential facilities of the social services is currently provided. The processed results of the provided health care could then serve as one of the grounds in making a draft for transition of funding of the health care in the residential facilities of the social services from performance-based to flat-based model. The dissertation could also be used as the grounds for training of health care professionals of the residential facilities of the social services in the field of indication, provision, and reporting of health care provided to users of the residential facilities of the social services.

The handling of persons with a mental retardation in the course of emergencies
SKŘIČEK, Jakub
In various areas of life persons with mental retardation are paid greater attention and extra care fulfilment of which results from the very nature of this disorder. The field of populace protection oriented on presence of this specific group of persons on-site of an emergency intervention should not be an exception. Operatives of the service which is a part of the integrated rescue system should be prepared for the presence of persons with mental retardation in situations which occur during emergencies. With regard to a high number of persons with mental retardation in the Czech Republic which exceeds the limit of 3 % of the population it is pertinent to address the issue of intervention in emergencies involving people with this specific disability. This diploma thesis deals with a topic of handling persons with mental retardation during emergencies since this issue has not been described in detail anywhere yet so as to prepare future and current staff of the Integrated Rescue System to situations in which their readiness plays an important role and every hesitation may have serious consequences. Ignorance of procedures and mechanisms for handling persons suffering from mental retardation decreases the ability of operatives to handle the situation and the ability to predict and prevent complications that may involve danger to health, life and property not only of people with this disability but also of all other participants. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three chapters, which deal with topics that serve as a theoretical base for the practical part, namely Integrated Rescue System, emergency and mental retardation. The chapter focused on Integrated Rescue System describes the basic components of the Integrated Rescue System and its coordination at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. The following chapter gives a description of emergencies, their division, the recommended behavior of persons in the event of emergencies and guidelines for threats due to the incident. The third and final chapter of this part deals with mental retardation and provides insight into this issue focusing on the types of mental retardation and a more detailed description of the diagnostic of light, moderate, severe and deep mental retardation, the most common causes of mental retardation, personal risk factors for people affected by mental retardation, problem behavior of people with mental retardation and their mental disorders including a description of a suitable method handling persons with mental retardation. The practical part of the diploma thesis is based on a qualitative research which was conducted in a form of in-depth structured interviews with professional staff of the facility that provides outpatient social services including day stay of persons with mental retardation. The aim of the thesis was to develop general recommendations for handling persons with mental retardation during emergencies based on the assessment of knowledge about the treatment of people with mental retardation by professionally qualified staff which is in regular contact with this specific group of people. These recommendations should provide support to workers of the Integrated Rescue System during emergencies with presence of people with mental retardation. The resulting recommendations are contained in the last chapter of the diploma thesis. There are a total of 25 recommendations for handling persons with mental retardation during emergencies.

The role of radio-diagnostic department in investigation of polytraumas
MRÁČKOVÁ, Petra
Theme of this bachelor theses is the role of radio-diagnostic department in investigation of polytraumas. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of multiple traumas and trauma care that is provided in a specialized departments for the facility of multiple trauma, in traumacentres. Obligatory conditions that the traumacenters must meet to be granted the status of traumacanter are in this thesis mentioned. Another part of the theoretical part is focused to diagnostic imaging methods, specifically mentioned examination by X-ray, computer tomography, magnetic resonance, ultrasound and angiography examination. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the number of patients with polytrauma and see what radiodiagnostic examinations for these patients was performed in the hospital České Budějovice, a.s. The hypotheses of this bachelor thesis are formulated as follows: Number of patients with polytrauma is growing. Most were done CT examinations during investigation of polytrauma. The practical part provides information of the number of polytrauma, the division of patients by gender, age rating in three designated groups and radiodiagnostic tests that these patients was performed in a hospital České Budějovice, a.s. in 2011-2013. Data collection was performed at the radiology department at the hospital in České Budějovice from the electronic patient database. In the chapter "Results" was acquired data processed in graphs. These graphs are described in the next section "Discussion". They were completed by my own beliefs, thoughts and opinions. The results mentioned in the practical part of the thesis show that the objective has been achieved. From the polytrauma database implies that the first set hypothesis the number of patients with polytrauma is growing, wasn´t confirmed because in 2013 it was registered less patients with polytrauma than in 2011 and 2012. On the other hand, the investigation revealed that the second set hypothesis, assuming that in multiple injuries examination was used computer tomography mostly was confirmed. Computed tomography was used during examination of all patients with polytrauma registered in Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. in the mentioned period. In the chapter "Conclusion" the results are summarized. The purpose of this thesis was to prepare clear text dealing with the use of radiodiagnostic imaging methods in the examination of patients with polytrauma. Results of this work can serve as a statistical material of radiodiagnostic examination of multiple traumas to the radiology department at the hospital in České Budějovice. The theoretical part of the thesis can be used as teaching or informational materials for professionals.
