Collaborative vector editor
Šimonovský, Martin ; Bureš, Tomáš (referee) ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor)
The work describes GChat, a multi-platform collaborative vector editor specialised in diagram creation. GChat is a real-time (synchronous) system, which allows its users to work on the same document in the same time while immediately seeing other users' changes. The application is based on the shared document replication principle and uses Jabber protocol for communication. Among others, consistency and intention maintenance methods are described. Furthermore, distributed undo and redo operations are presented, including a rather novel selective mode. In its rst part, this work also tries to summarise both current software products and algorithms in this course of study.

Fractal analysis of economic time series
Krýcha, Josef ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Smrčka, Pavel (referee)
This thesis focuses on fractal analysis of economic time series. Chapter One introduces fractal analysis as a method of exploring time series and gathers information about progress and current state of understanding in this field. Chapter Two focuses on design and development of computer software, which will calculate selected fractal indices. Chapter Three is experimental and shows the results and discussion of economic time series (popular stock market indexes and currency exchange rate) analysis that have been obtained from the software developed in Chapter Two.

Geoinformatical modelling of the precipitation anomalies in Central Europe
Kafka, Tomáš ; Kastner, Jiří (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
The topic of this work is the methodological assessment of spatial variability in precipitation anomalies in central Europe using the tools of geographic information systems (GIS). Various on-line data sources for studied area are presented and compared each other in terms of their spatial information. For a model analysis for the period 1950 - 2006 was chosen dataset Ensembles Gridded observational dataset (E-Obs) in the spatial resolution of approximately 25 x 25 km. This data set is stored in a multidimenzional raster format NetCDF, which is in the work presented in detail. This way of storing data for geographical analysis are supported by desktop GIS software - ESRI ArcGIS, and to work with NetCDF data E-Obs in it's module ArcMap is developed a set of separate functions (toolbox). With the use of these instruments was from E-Obs dataset extracted several time series, related to the reference subareas. For precipitation's anomalies are considered in these series events indicated the extreme daily precipitation total, or long-term number of consecutive days with continuous rainfall, or long-term period without rainfall. Acording to intensities or length of precipitation totals and affected areas are selected most extreme episodes, which are modeled in GIS. It is presented the spatial evaluation...

Artificial neural networks and their application in the assessment of insurance risks
Macek, Karel ; Jiroutek, Pavel (referee) ; Mrázová, Iveta (advisor)
The present work studies applicability of artificial neural networks in the assessment of insurance risk. Structure and function of multilayer perceptrons, Kohonen maps, Fuzzy ART networks, and Fuzzy ARTMAP networks are described. Concept of insurance risk is defined and the ratemaking by generalized linear models is introduced. Neural networks' methods for reduction of input space's dimension, knowledge extraction, and visualization are summed up. Data describing traffic accidents are acquainted and results achieved on them are presented. The work successfully demonstrates theoretically and experimentally that multilayer perceptrons approximate better than generalized linear models. Modification of multilayer perceptron estimated distribution function of total claim. Analysis performed by Kohonen map and by subsequent visualization detected two significant clusters. Analysis by Fuzzy ART network is presented as a part of new algorithm for reduction of input space's dimension. New algorithm inspired by Fuzzy ARTMAP network discovered a group of accidents where the claim is above average. This group is delimited by interpretable rules. Attached CD contains scripts for Matlab and MySQL that was used for mentioned analyses.

Modeling of Elastic Mechanisms
Slaný, Jan ; Keršner, Zbyněk (referee) ; Frantík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with constructing and solving a discrete mechanical model from the point of view of dynamics. As an example of a real-world problem which can be approximated in this way, the dynamical behaviour of a bow and arrow during loose have been chosen. In order to solve this particular type of model, a specialized piece of software has been developed. This method and software have been deployed to simulate shooting a straight bow of specific parametres. Two variants for the shape of the bowstaff have been evaluated.

Design of a GUI for Home Control for the Elderly
Válek, Lukáš ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fučík, Jan (advisor)
This work focuses on the problems with the design of software for the elderly and ways to solve them. Furthermore, a design of a control interface for smart homes, which takes these problems into account, was done. The process of the design is described and reasons for the decision that are made are given. Following is a description of the implementation of the proposed interface and its testing on a targeted group of users. The work also outlines a possible extension of the interface for further use.

Model for Economical Process Simulation (Cost of Poor Quality Monitoring)
Janíková, Dita ; Nenadál, Jaroslav (referee) ; Bartes, František (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This work is dealing with a study of process simulation and its use for the costs of poor quality monitoring. The process simulation is generally in many companies not too used and moreover, there is no software at the market, which would easily described economical efficiency of processes. The main purpose of this work is to suggest such a application. The study contains of the detailed data models for each function of the application, requirements specification and the feasibility study, which provide approximate costs for the development of such a application.

IT support for housing co-operative
Pippal, Jan ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
The theme of this Bachelor Thesis is IT support for housing co-operatives. The intention is to analyze the state of market supply of information technology applications based on the requirements arising from the processes of housing co-operatives. In the theoretical part is at first performed research of resources which correspond with thesis topic. Next the environment for analysis is defined. Here terms associated with housing co-operatives are defined, their specifics in economic sphere and short characteristic of the cooperating housing co-operative. In the practical part the chosen methodology MMABP is used to identify and model processes in the housing co-operative. Subsequently, it raises several functional and non-functional requirements for IT support of housing cooperative processes which arising from the process analysis. At the end of the practical part the requirements are compared with available software solutions and those solutions are evaluated. The result of this thesis can be beneficial for facility managers, authorities of housing co-operatives or development teams who are designing software solutions for housing associations.

The effect of bailiff territoriality on the reclamation of receivables, the length of debt recovery and other aspects of court-ordered distraints
Plaček, Jan ; Smrčka, Luboš (advisor) ; Belás, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hučka, Miroslav (referee)
The area of individual reclamation of receivables in the form of court-ordered distraints has undergone significant changes since the year 2000. The initial practice, when the claims used to be enforced directly by judicial officers, proved to be largely ineffective and with difficult to apply. The Ministry of Justice has responded by adopting an amendment to the Act (Act no. 120/2001 Coll., on bailiffs and executor activities), which introduced the independent bailiff offices. Then, the law itself understood the bailiff authorities as a separate entrepreneurs. Currently, in the Czech Republic, there can be seen the distribution of the market with distraints according to the Pareto rule. Approximately 20% of bailiff offices manage over 80% of distraints. It is obvious that this is an unsatisfactory condition for the majority of bailiff offices. In response to this fact, the Czech Chamber of Bailiff offices calls for the introduction of territoriality, which would eliminate by law the market environment from the market with distraints and every single bailiff office would have a stable allocation of distraint proceedings. The analysis carried out clearly shows that there are significant differences between bailiff offices in terms of speed and in success of the debt recovery. The actual demand for the introduction of territoriality would not merely be a reallocation of the market with distraints. Putting it into a practice would greatly influence the transactional costs of business and non-business entities in the Czech economy. The thesis comprehensively describes the issue of territoriality and quantifies how much the debt collection will decrease in case of its introduction. In the conclusion, an alternative draft is formulated, which might, according to the author, allow effective regulation and supervision of the activities of bailiffs' offices without compromising the inherent efficiency of the reclamation of receivables in terms of market environment.
