Pařízková, Renata ; Zavázalová, Helena (advisor) ; Kasal, Eduard (referee) ; Cvachovec, Karel (referee)
The development of intensive care during last several decades has brought the ability to increase patients survival and quality of life (QOL) however new tasks and concerns especially in ethics occured. Emerging imbalance among therapeutical options and economic resources together with false optimism of physicians and public regarding "borderless" possibilities of medicine started the discussion about allocation of resources to patients in whom real hope for improvement of medical status or quality of life could be anticipated. Intensive care can prolong dying often associated with distress and loss of dignity that is in contradiction to ethic principles and the main right of human. Withdrawing organ support techniques that is considered as a futile, inappropriate and without chance to improve clinical outcome is in accordance with ethic rules. In this situation, the principal goal of medicine, preserving life and health is no longer affordable therefore it is necessary to change our effort to ensure basic patient's physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs with accent to respect dignity. The aim of PhD theses was: - to define areas and key principles regarding end-of-life decision (EOLD) making in intensive care, - to identify factores affecting short and long-term outcome (surviving and quality...

Pastorková, Jana ; Zamazalová, Marcela (advisor) ; Toman, Miloš (referee)
The subject of my diploma thesis is the marketing communication of Astra Praha dancing school. The main purpose was to create the right communication mix in order to stabilize current situation and enable further development of the company. The main subject consists of various parts which are: mapping of theoretic basis focused on marketing of services, marketing analysis of Prague dancing schools' market, analysis of Astra Praha dancing school as well as analysis of elements of marketing mix being used by the company. The thesis is based as well on my personal experience as a tutor in Astra Praha dancing school (more then ten years). This was fundamental when proceeding detail analysis of customer behavior and process analysis in the school. I have also the opportunity to research in praxis of Astra Praha dancing school as well as other dancing schools across Czech Republic the theoretic basis. This contributed to even better understanding of strengths and weaknesses of Astra Praha dancing school and its position on the market. Astra Praha dancing school was not using any kind of electronic database at the time. Therefore it was necessary to gather all relevant data and build a new customer care / marketing database. Some other suggestions and ideas stated in my thesis were also discussed and implemented before the finalization of this work. I chose the marketing communication for a topic of this thesis because I think it is the weakest point of the company's strategy. Therefore it represents serious thread to its next development and success and I hope this work could provide some strategic recommendation. Nevertheless, the most important benefit of this work seems to be the instant change of Astra Praha director's perception of the marketing management and its link to the overall company's management.

Extreme Right After the Unification of Germany

Remote PC administration without IP address
Otruba, Vítězslav ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Pfeifer, Václav (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is to design a concept of remote PC administration with intermediate unit, which allows the controlled computer not to have the public IP address. We don’t need to know its IP address at all, to take control over it. The designed system uses HTTP protocol to transport commands and replies. Central intermediate unit is the web server with PHP scripting, which cooperates with MySQL database server; the central data store. The commands are stored into MySQL database via web interface using PHP scripting. The target PC is running program in C++ language, which receives the commands by querying the PHP pages on web server, and sends the replies on them. The structure was designed as multi user system. Each user controls different target computer using unique login and password. In consideration of this is not allowed to use one login for two users at the same time and the users are automatically logged off in case of inactivity. As extra feature, not part of project’s main object, was designed the graphical user interface as add-on to the existing system, giving the user actual print-screen of target computer’s monitor. Also the mouse and keyboard functions are software-emulated. By creating the new autonomous data channel for screen pictures transfer, the new opportunity for bidirectional file transfer between controlling and controlled PC is opened.
