Development of gender´s policy in the area of Evropean Union and its prediction
SEDLÁKOVÁ, Magdalena
Gender equality is a very important social value, which has a long-lasting tradition in European Union and it is a necessary condition for the achievement of its goals. This thesis deals with the topic of women representation in politics, particularly in European Parliament and national parliaments in European Union. The fact that women have found their way into European Parliament is evident. In 1979 only 17% of all parliament members were women and nowadays they represent more than one third of all members of the Parliament ? 35%. The representation of women in national parliaments is lower than in European Parliament and it differs in particular countries. In 2000 the representation of women in national politics reached 18,3 %. Throughout various periods no decline has been registered and in 2010 the representation of women in national politics reached 23,6 %. The comparison of the development of the representation of women in politics according to the state systems is interesting. Concerning national parliaments, the best results have been achieved in European kingdoms. The optional partial quotas are employed to increase the representation of women in politics within the frame of European Union. The long-term goals have been set to indicate further development and criteria that should have been achieved. The present idea is to reach at least 25% representation of women in national parliaments in all member states.
The ethic in works of T.G.Masaryk
DUŠKOVÁ, Helena
Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk was an influential person of the modern history. Today, people know him more as a president of the Czechoslovak Republic. However, T. G. Masaryk was not only a politician, but also a philosopher with strong moral principles. The aim of my work was to bring some of T. G. Masaryk?s books back to life, and focus on the ethical principles that are included in his work. I consider T. G. Masaryk?s intellectual heritage to be still valid. I focused on particular essays that T. G. Masaryk wrote and choose his most important ethical thoughts within there texts through a precise analysis. I choose his books ?Ideály humanitní?, ?Sebevražda hromadným jevem společenské osvěty?, ?O škole a vzdělání? and the lecture ?O ženě? as the basis of my work. In the practical part of my work, I examined the knowledge of the students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice through a survey. I set three hypotheses for this inquiry. The results of my research show that students know biographical facts about T. G. Masaryk well, they make mistakes in the identification of his books, have only partial knowledge of his life philosophy and that none of the students has ever read any of his books.

TUČEK BRZORÁD, Jitka
The bachelor thesis deals with the opinion of selected sample of women. The respondents are women of all age categories living in cities of South and Central Bohemia. The theoretical part of the work defines various forms of the position of women in the society, which are considered from both current and historical perspective. The practical part of the work, based on results of opinion pool, gives answers to two questions: do the age or education of the women affect their opinion of family or professional career. I try to confirm or reject these hypotheses by analyzing the collected sample. The obtained results are compared with the opinions already published in scientific literature and summarized in the conclusions.
