Big data - application in banking
Uřídil, Martin ; Slánský, David (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
There is a growing volume of global data, which is offering new possibilities for those market participants, who know to take advantage of it. Data, information and knowledge are new highly regarded commodity especially in the banking industry. Traditional data analytics is intended for processing data with known structure and meaning. But how can we get knowledge from data with no such structure? The thesis focuses on Big Data analytics and its use in banking and financial industry. Definition of specific applications in this area and description of benefits for international and Czech banking institutions are the main goals of the thesis. The thesis is divided in four parts. The first part defines Big Data trend, the second part specifies activities and tools in banking. The purpose of the third part is to apply Big Data analytics on those activities and shows its possible benefits. The last part focuses on the particularities of Czech banking and shows what actual situation about Big Data in Czech banks is. The thesis gives complex description of possibilities of using Big Data analytics. I see my personal contribution in detailed characterization of the application in real banking activities.

Comparison tridem transport system ZDT MEGA 33 with ANNABURGER 33.79 in the agricultural production
PIŠL, Stanislav
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the comparison of products that we chose from two of the most represented producers of agricultural vehicles which are on the top of the sales chart on the Czech market. Our measurement and comparison were done with tridemic semitrailer and replaceable systems called Annaburger 33.79 and ZDT MEGA 33 which work with a body and a spreader of homestead fertilizers in enterprises of the agricultural primary production. To make our comparison as seminal as possible, the data are taken from the types of companies which are very similar in their characteristics. The work contains characteristics of these companies and technical data of compared replaceable systems, from which it is apparent that a superstructure of Annaburger enterprise achieves larger volumes and so higher productivity. From the economic standpoint, there was discovered that the transport of one km-ton came out better for replaceable system Annaburger. In a case of this replaceable system, there was achieved a value 13, 14 Czech crowns per 1 tkm. For the replaceable ZDT system there was set an expanse of 61 Czech crowns per 1 tkm. That was caused by oversize of the machine fleet of the Zevos Ltd. enterprise in Libceves, which, however, can also have some advantages. For the bodies and spreaders of homestead fertilizers there was investigated the transverse evenness of a distribution of cattle manure. Again, there was a victory of the body of Annaburger enterprise which provided evener distribution of the manure from the whole breadth of a range. Contact pressures to washers were also compared for the needs of contemporary farmers. From the measurement it was found that the semitrailer of Annaburger 33.79 equipped with low-pressure flotation tires Michelin 600/55 R26,5´ CargoXbib achieves up to 28.5% more contact area than car ZDT MEGA 33, which is provided with radial tires Mitas AR-02 560/60 R22,5´. In this found differences between both of the interfaces, ZDT semitrailer operates up to 6,5 psi higher pressure to a washer.

Some aspects of the discontinuous Galerkin method for the solution of convection-diffusion problems
Hájek, Jaroslav ; Najzar, Karel (referee) ; Feistauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This work is concerned with the numerical solution of initial-boundary value problems for convection-diffusion partial differential equations. Three methods are studied and compared for this purpose: the combined finite element - finite volume (FE-FV) method, the discontinuous Galerkin finite element (DGFE) method of lines, and the spacetime discontinuous Galerkin method. The combined FE-FV method uses piecewise linear conforming finite elements for the discretization of the diffusion terms and piecewise constant FV approximation of the convective terms. The relation between the FE and FV approximations is determined by the so-called lumping operator. In the DGFE method of lines, the space semidiscretization is carried out by piecewise polynomial functions constructed over a triangular mesh, in general discontinuous on interfaces between neighbouring elements. In the space-time DGFE method, the approximate solution is piecewise polynomial in space as well as in time. We discuss both theoretical and practical aspects of the methods, and present numerical results for each of them. For the DGFE method of lines we derive an a posteriori error estimate.

The relationship between the characteristics of the labor market and real estate market
LUKŠÍKOVÁ, Lenka
The theme of this thesis is the relationship between the characteristics of the labor market and real estate market. The basic objective is to identify and assess the close ties between these markets and market influence on the volume of sales of real estate types. The work is divided into two parts, the first part is a literature review, which are clarified and explained selected basic concepts relating to the issue. The second part is a practical part in which the property itself divided into three segments and to family homes, apartments and building plots. Each segment that contains the values of the purchase prices and the number of deposits in the Land Registry. Other data obtained unemployment and wage. Individual data are divided, both within the Czech Republic, but also within each region and are listed in the resulting summary table, which is evaluated verbally.

Characterization of Nanostructures Deposited by High-Frequency Magnetron sputtering
Hégr, Ondřej ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of nano-structured layers deposited by high-frequency magnetron sputtering on the monocrystalline silicon surface. The content of the work focuses on the magnetron sputtering application as an alternative method for passivation and antireflection layers deposition of silicon solar cells. The procedure of pre-deposite silicon surface cleaning by plasma etching in the Ar/H2 gas mixture atmosphere is suggested. In the next step the silicon nitride and aluminum nitride layers with hydrogen content in Ar/N2/H2 gas mixture by magnetron sputtering are deposited. One part of the thesis describes an experimental pseudo-carbide films deposition from a silicon target in the atmosphere of acetylene (C2H2). An emphasis is placed on the research of sputtered layers properties and on the conditions on the silicon-layer interface with the help of the standard as well as special measurement methods. Sputtered layers structure is analyzed by modern X-ray spectroscopy (XPS) and by Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Optical ellipsometry and spectrophotometry is used for the diagnostic of the layers optical properties depending upon the wavelength of incident light. A special method of determining the surface lay-out of the charge´s carrier life in the volume and on the surface of silicon is employed to investigate the passivating effects of the sputtered layers.

Prezentovaná práce se zabývá vakuovým indukčním tavením intermetalické slitiny Ti-46Al-7Nb (at.

Generalization of the methodology for evaluation of the gear windage loss
Bauer, Petr ; Kordík, Jozef ; Krátký, Tomáš ; Sedlář, Milan
The first part of the report proposes a methodology for gear windage loss evaluation using CFD analysis. The methodology includes simplification of gearbox complex geometry and the toothed wheel and pinion are replaced by a rough-walled disks with additional braking volume forces. The values of volume forces were determined using auxiliary computations with a real gear geometry (a gear segment with periodical boundary conditions). The computations included configuration of the gear wheel meshing with the pinion, while distance of wheel enclosure was a variable parameter (the case without enclosure was tested as well). The cases without pinion were computed too, they were compared with earlier results obtained with the gear segment geometry.\nThe second part of the report contains a revision of the earlier proposed analytical approach. The approach can serve for approximate gear windage loss evaluation and its idea dwells in smooth connection of logarithmic velocity profiles. The gear windage loss values obtained from the analytical approach were compared with the results based on CFD analysis. A good agreement between both methods was concluded.\n

Studium defektů v kvazikrystalech metodou pozitronové anihilační spektroskopie
Vlček, Marián ; Čížek, Jakub (advisor) ; Smola, Bohumil (referee)
In the present work positron lifetime spectroscopy and coincidence spectroscopy of Doppler broadening of annihilation radiation were employed for investigations of defects in Mg alloys with icosahedral phase. Samples of WE43 alloy and WE43 alloy modified by addition of zinc were investigated. Positron trapping at vacancy-like defects associated with interface between the icosahedral phase Mg3Zn6Y1 and Mg matrix was observed. Investigations of MgZnAl-based alloys were performed as well. Vacancy-like defects were not detected in MgZnAl- based alloys by positron lifetime spectroscopy. However, coincidence spectroscopy of Doppler broadening of annihilation radiation revealed that positron trapping in the vincinity of icosahedral Mg44Zn41Al15 phase occurs. Several hypotheses ex- plaining different nature of positron trapping in WE43-based and MgZnAl-based alloys were proposed. Keywords: quasicrystals; positron annihilation spectroscopy; positron trapping; open-volume defects

Numerical modeling of behavior of a particle composite with crosslinked polymer matrix
Máša, Bohuslav ; Ševčík, Martin (referee) ; Náhlík, Luboš (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the determination of macroscopic behavior of a particulate composite with cross-linked polymer matrix under tensile load. The main focus of thesis is estimation of mechanical properties of a composite loaded by tensile loading using numerical methods (especially finite elements method). Investigated composite is composed of matrix in a rubbery state filled by alumina-based particles (Al2O3). Hyperelastic properties of the matrix have been modeled by the Mooney-Rivlin material model. Different compositions of particles, their different shape, orientation and different volume fractions have been considered. For all these characteristics of composite numerical models have been developed. The damage mechanisms of the matrix have also been taken into account. Results of numerical analyses have been compared with experimental data and good agreement between numerical models with damage mechanisms of matrix and experimental data has been found.
