Data transmission over the distribution network
Mucha, Martin ; Mrákava, Petr (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
his paper describes the principle of data communication through high-tension lines.Preliminary work examines the transmission system, the types of high-tensionn lines and then disassembling the possibility to transmit data through this system. Then there is interference with the types of data and analysis. It includes the PLC technology, which include types of modulation and error correction methods. The paper deals with the possibilities of PLC modems and their use. The following chapter defines the ways of modeling the high-tensionn lines through which is possible to deduce the transfer function of lines. The work includes practical examples of setting the PLC modems and data transmission from one modem to another. It shall also include practical demonstration of spectrum communication signal during the data transfer.
Use storage thermal power in Czech republic
Bednář, František ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma’s thesis analyzes the possibility of accumulation of thermal power plants in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part describes the different types of storage power plants, the historical development of power storage for compressed air and the appropriateness of their location. The second part is devoted to the design of storage power plant for compressed air in South Moravia. In the next chapter, a calculation is made of all equipment storage power plant, including turbo-compressor, combustion chamber, combustion turbines, the volume of storage tanks and two heat exchangers. The last part is the economic analysis of the return on investment of such a project.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Part of thesis describes security of electricity supply in health care facilities, including requirements for emergency power. The own design of UPS is described in the end.
Stabilized operation and short-circuit conditions within E.ON 110kV power network supplied from Otrokovice 110kV switching station, during the period of 2012
Kuba, Petr ; Rampl, Martin (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with steady running and short-circuit conditions in the 110 kV network, E. ON, fed from 110 kV Otrokovice. Substation Otrokovice ensures system transformation from 400 kV to 110 kV system through three transformers. In order to increase reliability of power supply and improved economy is considered to bridge the transition from the operation of two transformers in bridge operations of the three transformers. However, this brings with it significant worsening of short-circuit conditions in the 110 kV network. The task of this work is to evaluate and compare the two variants of operation in terms of steady running and short-circuit conditions in the network at 110 kV and then implement operational and technical measures. The introduction describes the electricity system and its parts. The theoretical part of the paper discusses ways of dealing with steady running and short circuit conditions of long lines. Practical part will deal with applications of knowledge on the network. The conclusion summarizes the most relevant information and the results assessed both variants.
Renewable energy sources in China: trends and issues
Šteg, Filip ; Stuchlíková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Vošta, Milan (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate current status of renewable energy sources in China and to reveal current problems of this sector. In the first chapter, renewable energy sources are theoretically defined. In the second chapter, the whole energy sector of China is analysed with emphasis on the role of renewable energy sources, their share on primary energy consumption and their share in electricity production. The last chapter covers sector of wind energy in a detail. It analyses feed in tariffs or issues of energy grid. It also discusses economic profitability of wind power plants, their manufacture industry and overall future potential.
Analysis of the impact of electricity generation from wind on investment activities of CEPS’s company, assessment of the impact of these investments on the Czech economy
Krchová, Eva ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; van Koten, Silvester (referee)
The aim of master thesis is to analyze the impact of electricity generation from wind on investment activities of CEPS's company, and also to assess the impact of these investments on the Czech economy. The work familiarizes readers with reasons for the development of the transmission system in the Czech Republic, with the concept of blackout and also with apparatus of assessing the impact of investment on the economy of the selected state -- input-output model analysis. The method used to obtain data for this work is based on the literature review, as well as expert advice on the input-output model, consultation with the experts in CEPS and the data provided by them. The theoretical part deals with Czech transmission system, and it is followed by the development of wind energy construction and the problems associated with it, with blackout and readiness of the Czech Republic to the possible failure in electricity supply. In the practical part, there are measures that are built in order to prevent the risk of blackouts in the Czech Republic, there is a more detailed examination of the Plan of development and rehabilitation of Czech transmission system, and there is also described the process of construction of analytical input-output apparatus for analyzing the impact of CEPS's development investments on the Czech economy, approximated by GDP.
Úspory elektrické energie ve zpracovatelském průmyslu
Pešák, Jiří
This thesis features an overview of technologies that convert various forms of energy into electrical energy, and brings a description of a transmission system. Current energy situation in the Czech Republic is evaluated and views for the year 2014 are predicted. Second part of the thesis is focused on the energy evaluation of the manufacturing enterprise model. On the basis of all the information obtained, possible measures to reduce the final electricity consumption of the factory are suggested.
Trading natural gas
Šinkovic, Michal ; Paholok, Igor (advisor) ; Šoltés, Viktor (referee)
This thesis describes systems of natural gas trading in the USA and Europe. Most of the work is devoted to the natural gas trading system typical for the US market. It consists of four parts, the first part explains the operation of the gas industry. The second part describes how physical trading of natural gas (with delivery) work. In the third part I focus on the financial market and the last part of my thesis explains some structured transactions.
Cluster analysis of more dimensional data by a neural network
Helcl, Zbyněk ; Křivan, Miloš (advisor) ; Berka, Petr (referee)
The topic of the present thesis is an analysis of a sample data archive containing measured values of real and reactive power. The measurement in question took place in late 2006 and early 2007 using MEg40 recording measurement devices disposed in a station for transforming high voltage to low voltage in the Pražská energetika distribution network. The procedure of processing measured values, the preparation thereof for a subsequent processing by a neural network, and a final statistical evaluation of determined individual clusters -- typical daily take-off diagrams -- will be described. The results of the present thesis may be applied in the making of predictions of electrical energy consumption at a particular transformer station.
