The Presentation of Death and Dying in The Media and The Influence of The Presentation on The Process of Forming The Attitude towards Death
KADLECOVÁ, Hana
The thesis deals with mass media and the way they treat the presentation of death and dying. Trying to find an answer to the question of whether mass media can have an impact on changing attitudes of contemporary human being to death and dying. The thesis is divided into nine parts. The first four sections form the theoretical framework and characterize today's postmodern society, typical features of contemporary human being ?s behavior, his/her perception of the world and themselfves, the influ nce of education, culture and beliefs. The thesis also deals with the position of mass media in postmodern society, and briefly describes current research on the influence of mass media on people. It mentions the most common dividing of mass media technologies into television, radio, print and the Internet. On this theoretical framework is consequently based the analysis of the presentation of death and dying in various types of media - this part of the thesis is more practically oriented and is complemented by a number of pictorial material. It tries to capture the most significant features of the presentation of death and dying on TV (news, film, advertising) and radio (news and some opinion programs), in the broadsheets and tabloids as well as on internet news, blogs and social networks and also in internet advertising. The thesis concludes that the current mass media are nearly oversaturated with the death and dy ng topic, making the viewer (reader, listener) apathetic and easily accustomed to continuously increasing greater violence. Death pictured by media is unnatural and often violent, in which significantly collides with the lived reality. Media cause devaluation of death and lower its importance, which causes declining empathy towards the diseased and dying as well as the absence of respect for the deceased.

Influence of oriental dance on social relations
RYKALOVÁ, Jiřina
People meet people all the time, and in thus meeting they influence each other. Major importance can be attributed to informal relationships like friendship and love, since these are typical of spontaneity, free communication, flexibility of roles and similar features. Each individual is greatly affected by the family that he or she was born into as well as the family he or she established. Marriage is an institutional basis of a family, while the family is the hub of social relations. Economic, social, mental and health conditions of individuals and families stem from their work activities. Unemployment affects the family; living standards; the structure and perception of time; and the health of body and mind. All social relationships have communication built in them. Communication can not only describe the relationship as it exists, it can also change and modify it. That is why it is important to stick to sound principles of communication, whose integral part is the ability to listen. Factors impacting on interpersonal relations cover also stress. In case the burden inflicted by stress is tolerable, it may even be invigorating. If the burden, however, is greater than what we can endure, the effect is detrimental. Consequently, stress should be precluded. One method of precluding and alleviating stress rests in what is termed the dance movement therapy. An option available to exercise body, mind and soul is the oriental dance. In pursuing physical activities we exercise not only our moving faculties but also cultivate interpersonal relationships. Such a system of activities and relations can be designated as an active way of life.

HORYNOVÁ, Alžběta
This final work is practically oriented. It consists of painting series of eight landscapes with vertical themes. These are large format oil paintings. In the theoretical part I deal with the current perception of the relationship between man and land, which is based on the current concepts of landscape-painting. The examples of contemporary Czech landscape show some topics that have appeared in the last forty years. For example it is a landscape as a specific interface and abstract paintings, a landscape inside us, a landscape of our civilization. The thesis also discusses vertical motif, which marks the space between the two main elements of the landscape ? the sky and land, which is a fundamental area of human existence.

Role of Social Worker in the Care of Hospitalized Child
DRMOTOVÁ, Adéla
Social work in health care is a field in which health care blends with social care and represents inseparable part of curing and nursing process. There is not given enough attention and importance to this field, which it should deserve. The role of a social worker in the care of a hospitalized child is not sufficiently surveyed and defined, and therefore it became the theme of this dissertation. The main objective of this research was to look into the role of a social worker in the care of a hospitalized child. These partial goals were set for the survey: 1. To find out the subjective perception of the role of a social worker in the care of a hospitalized child from the point of the social workers themselves. 2. To find out what goal the operation of social work in the care of a hospitalized child is to achieve. 3. To look into what position in the medical team the social worker has in the framework of the care of a hospitalized child. 4. To find out what methods of social work are the most frequently used by social workers in the care of a hospitalized child. The theoretical part of the dissertation deals with social work in hospital. Following chapters describe social workers in hospital including their approaches to clients and theoretical definition of their role. Chapters dealing with children in hospital, social work with them and the whole family also represent a significant part of the theory. A qualitative survey using the method of making inquires was chosen for the purposes of the dissertation. The survey was carried out in a semi-conducted interview, which was divided into several fields enabling deeper insight into this specific profession and more concrete characteristics of the role held by the social worker in the care of a hospitalized child. A surveyed specimen consisted of female social workers in hospitals working within the framework of their field work with hospitalized children and their families. The selection of the surveyed specimen was intentional. For the sake of the survey ten interviews with social workers were carried out. Thanks to the opinions of the social workers the role of the social worker in the care of the hospitalized child can be, expressed with the aid of several graphs, which serve for clear and lucid orientation in results brought by this survey. Based on the survey results following hypotheses were defined: H 1: Social workers in the care of the hospitalized child most frequently hold the role of an advisor. H 2: The position of the social worker in the medical team is not equal. H 3: Dialogue is the most frequently used techniques in the social work with the child and their family. The survey reveals the importance of the role of the social worker in the care of the hospitalized child. The dissertation should mainly serve for opening the discussion about the role of the social worker in the hospital, in this case in the care of a hospitalized child.

LEHOVCOVÁ, Tereza
This thesis examines the impact of Interventional Psycho-training program based on yoga techniques for young competitors in Aerobic Gymnastics. The aim of this thesis was to verify the influence of yoga techniques on competitor's psychical stability, self-image, the ability of concentration and its subsequent effect on athletic performance and access to training and racing. There were 7 girls involved in this program in the age from 11 till 14. It was a group of athletes who regularly participate in championship sports aerobics. All competitors had completed a psychological input before the program has started. The diagnostical methods were: POMS Profile of Mood States (Czech version MAN, STUCHLÍKOVÁ, HAGTVET, 2005), Personal questionnnaire B - J.E.P.I. (H.J.EYSENCK - S.B.G. EYSENCK 1994), Self-perceptional Scale POP (VÁLKOVÁ, 1995), The technique of uncomplete sentences (VÁLKOVÁ, 2000) and the Test of Vigilance d2 (BRICKENKAMP, ZILLMER 2000).This program contained 12 lessons. We practiced yoga training every week at the end of a competitors training sessions. Yoga lesson lasted 60 minutes. There were filled in a psychological output after whole program was completed. A particular mathematical statistics called T-test was used to verify the hypotheses. The observed data has proved a positive impact of Interventional Psycho-training program on young competitor´s vigilance improvement, performance orientation and mental stableness. I would recommend the Interventional Psycho-training programs in the form of yoga exercising on the basis of positive results tried in this thesis as an appropriate part of sports training for competitors.
