Faktory determinující zahraniční investice v ČR

Main goal of this thesis is to analyse the influence of particular factors on investor's deci-sion-making during realising foreign investments. Those influences consist of the politi-cal stability, investment incentives, infrastructure, level of education and taxation. In the first part, the foreign direct investments are described and defined. In the second part, particular factors are analyzed in detail and for each particular factor, there is a conclu-sion, expressing if it is important for investors during their decision-making or not. The-sis also contains certain suggestions, which should be done in Czech republic, to become more attractive to foreign investors.

Zhodnotenie vplyvu informačných komunikačných technológií na ekonomickú úroveň vo svete

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess the impact of ICT on economic and social indicators of different countries in the world. The key economic indicator is GDP per capita. Other indicators representing economic and social area, which are expected to be influenced by ICT, are youth unemployment rate and education. The theoretical part is focused on identifying the present and historical impact of ICT and subsequently in the selected countries. The next section describes the methodology related to the regression analysis. Then it is used in the practical part, which deals with the creation of econometric models. It is essential to verify the presumption that technology (in this case ICT) has positive effect on the level of economic performance and education in the country and minimises youth unemployment rate.

The Educational Distribution of the Population of the Czech Republic

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the educational distribution of the population of the Czech Republic. The first, theoretical part, describes the educational system of the Czech Republic, various levels of education and their specifics. The following part of the thesis focuses on the historical development of education in our country from the beginning up to the present in relation to the particular school reforms. The fundamental part of the thesis is devoted to evaluation of the educational structure of the population according to level of education completed. Besides the statistical data obtained from the Czech Statistical Office, various types of education of the population are analyzed and presented using map outputs. ArcGIS software program was used for construction of the maps. The last part of thesis is devoted to comparsionof educational structures of the population of the Czech and Slovak Republics. The timeliness of this comparison justifies the common development of both educational systems.

Unemployment of young people in Czech Republic

This thesis focuses on unemployment of young people. Young people are among disadvantaged groups in the labor market, so they are given special attention. The main goal of this work is to analyze unemployment of young people in the Czech Republic, monitor its development and evaluate the changes. Attention is paid to the relationship between unemployment and education. The indicator of average length of education is used along with educational structure to evaluate the level of education. The work also focuses on the economic activity of young people, which has significantly reduced in recent years. At the end of this thesis is analyzed unemployment and education of young people in the regions of the Czech Republic.

Education of the population as a factor of regional development in the Czech Republic

The master thesis concentrates on the problematics of the regional development in connection with the educational structure of the Czech Republic. The main goal of this working paper is to evaluate, whether the level of the education reached has an impact on the regional development. For purpose of the analysis, NUTS 3 regions of the Czech Republic have been used. The regional development has been defined with five economic indicators, namely GDP per capita, average monthly gross salary, long term unemployment, foreign direct investments and employment in the primary sector. Nowadays education on the university degree is gaining importance and that is why university degree of the working population has been set as independent variable. For the proof of the dependence between university degree and dependent economic indicators of regional development, linear regression analysis has been used. In order to analyze the development of the dependence in time, for each economic indicators regression analysis of two years has been compared.

Reform of tertiary education and the question of diversification of tertiary education

The thesis should prove the necessity of this reform and at the same time to support the opinion of MŠMT which indicates the clear target why even be interested in the reform. The content of the thesis is also the focus on the necessity of study diversification which should be one of the main pillars of the future reform. I try to explain the diversification from the point of view of its meaning and need for the whole reform and its contribution for the tertiary education including the analysis of the attitudes of the universities. The aim of the thesis is to give the integrate view on the reform of tertiary education, to evaluate the meaning and usefulness of reform, to answer the questions, if these essential changes leaf to improving the quality and competitiveness of Czech universities and students. In the frame of objective evaluation I will reveal the possible lacks and risks coming from the implementation of reform steps.

Food insecurity in developing countries

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the basic information about causes and impacts of food insecurity in developing countries, to analyze the present state of malnutrition in developing regions and to assess the potential solutions for this global issue. The thesis points out the existing interconnection between the particular areas of human life and human activities, which determine hunger and malnutrition. For an efficient solution it is crucial to implement the proposed instruments and arrangements only while respecting these tight links.

Education in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a specific form of education support in Lubumbashi

This bachelor thesis discusses the importance of education, concretely in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its objective is to describe the relationship between education and economic growth, analyze fulfilling the Millennium Development Goals in the field of education in DR Congo and to demonstrate the importance of the operation of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations in this country where the state has failed in this field. The theses explores the congolese educational system from within through the use of quantitative research, from the perspective of Czech volunteers who were teaching in the Salesian Centres in DR Congo, concretely in Bakanja Centre in Lubumbashi.
