Plasmonic structures fabricated by e-beam lithography
Šimík, Marcel ; Urbánek,, Michal (referee) ; Krátký, Stanislav (advisor)
The presented study deals with the process of the formation of plasmonic structures using electron beam lithography. The main aim of this work is to create a structure published in NatureNanotechnology using PMMA resist. It has been created several variants of these structures with different exposure doses and shapes in order to determine the best option. From these variants it is concluded which one is the most effective by using optical and electron microscopy. With this information are created and evaluated large-scale exposure.

SMV-2016-15: Development of permanent joints of mechanical assemblies
Zobač, Martin ; Vlček, Ivan ; Dupák, Libor
The subject of the project was further research and development of permanent joints by electron beam welding, vacuum brazing, pressworking and by technology of glass seals. The outcome of the project were specific technological procedures for the given assemblies.

SMV-2016-13: Development of welding of zirconium alloy
Zobač, Martin ; Vlček, Ivan ; Dupák, Libor
The subject of the project was research and development of permanent joints of zirconium alloys by electron beam welding for the needs of the nuclear industry. The outcome of the project were specific technological procedures for the given assemblies verified by test series.

Hazardous substances in the work of metal conservator
Ottenwelter, Estelle
Conservator-restorers are exposed to hazardous substances (organic solvents, chemicals, dusts) in their daily work. Absorbed through inhalation, ingestion and by skin contact, these hazardous substances may cause acute toxicity and long term toxic effects if basic safety rules are not respected. After a brief summary of basic principles of toxicology, organ specific toxic effects encountered by chosen hazardous substances to which metal conservator may be exposed in their work and safety rules of handling and storing these substances are described.

Energy transfer pathways in reconstituted peridinin chlorophyll complexes
KLOZ, Miroslav
The main objective of this thesis is to study energy transfer pathways between carotenoids and chlorophylls in the reconstituted light harvesting protein, peridinin chlorophyll protein (PCP), of the marine dinoflagellate Amphidinium carterae. The reconstituted PCP complex contains either bacteriochlorophyll-a or a mixture of bacteriochlorophyll-a and chlorophyll-b instead of chlorophyll-a that occurs in the native PCP. The introduction and methods of the thesis describes spectroscopic properties of carotenoids with emphasis on the carotenoid peridinin, and a brief introduction to the femtosecond pump probe spectroscopy and global fitting analysis used for treating the time resolved spectra. The main results, dependence of the peridinin to bacteriochlorophyll-a energy transfer pathways on excitation wavelength and energy transfer between chlorophylls, are described and discussed in the results of the thesis. Ethical aspects of operation workers in socially-juridical children protection.
ŽÍLA, Petr
First two captures of the dissertation´s theoretical part deals with socially- juridical children protection in Czech Republic. Closer look into the history, legislative moorage and scheduler task safeguard. The separated area is devoted to operational workers in socially-juridical children protection of the Civil Service system. Third chapter offers brief look into ethical subject in social - work. Attention is especially devoted to ethical propositions and ethical dilemmas. Practical part contains presentation of a questionnaire survey from Council of the Pilsner region, where socially-jurisprudent workers took part in. Its target was to discover what role plays ethical aspects in activities of these social workers. Investigation should bring an answer for the question if ethical aspects are consider to be important for socially-juridical operational workers and if operational workers uses them and are methodically dedicated to them and if not, what it could be the cause.

Notes on projection based modelling of beta-distributed weights of a two-component mixture
Dedecius, Kamil
This report contains brief notes on estimation of beta-distributed weight of a Gaussian mixture. The results are directly applied in paper Kárný, M.: On approximate Bayesian recursive estimation]. First, we develop a method to update the beta distribution of weights by new data (evidences) and show, that a projection is needed to preserve the low modelling complexity. Then, we show how forgetting may be applied to improve adaptivity. The results can be immediately applied to multicomponent mixtures.

Stochastic Approaches to Identification Process in Forensic Medicine and Criminalistics
Slovák, Dalibor
In this paper we study an identification of culprit and assesment of evidence against him. We define a simple model called the island problem and we derive the weight-of-evidence formula in its basic form. We find how we can deal with uncertainty about basic parametres of model, like size of population. We investigate possibility of inclusion of relatedness and subpopulation structure into model through beta-binomial formula, we enlarge DNA mixtures of DNA and at the close we present brief overview about DNA databases.

The comparison of selected plant cultures as different energy resources
PAVELOVÁ, Lenka
This bachelor thesis was made by form of literature retrieval, eventually added of any tables and graphic design of acquired data and own commentary (discussion) to the literature details. The aim of the work will assess the suitability of selected crops for cultivation in energy use with respekt to growing thein technology and assess the suitability of biomass for different wals of processing and energy recovery. A brief outline of the economic, ecological and economic importace of the topic. In the second chapter of literature review are provided information about renewable energy sources, what the renewable energy resources are, their significance and use. The chapter also discusses the importance and use of biomass as energy source, characteristic of various types of biomass and finally is mentioned the future of biomass. In the third chapter ?Selection and cultivation of plants for energy recovery? summarizes the information about selected woody and non-woody crops characteristic for energy use. It is these crops - grains, maize, fast growing woody plants, monocultures of grass, clover mixture, monoculture legumes, herbs, permanent grassland: the productive and out of productive importance. For individual crops are processed: general characteristics of plants, botanical classification, requirements for habitat, agricultural engineering, harvesting and post harvest treatment. Below are listed possibilities of production and outlined the use of crops for energy purposes. The fourth chapter deals with the ways of using biomass for energy purposes. By using wood, straw and energy crops for direct combustion of biomass to produce biogas and other forms of exploitation. Finally in the fifth chapter is a summary of key findings and recommendations resulting from studying issue, extended tables and graphical processing.

Lexical Collocation Errors in English Produced by Czech Learners of English
ŽEMLIČKOVÁ, Radka
This diploma thesis is focused on collocations, i.e. repeatedly occurring combinations of lexical items. Main emphasis is put on lexical collocations produced incorrectly by Czech learners of English. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with various definitions describing this lexical phenomenon and with classification of collocations. A brief mention of the attitude to teaching collocations at schools is made, too. In the practical part, 200 collocations gathered from essays written by L2 learners of Czech secondary grammar schools are analysed as for a type of a restriction, semantic transparency and a part of speech. With erroneously produced collocation, an attempt to explain the cause leading to error is made and the correct combination or its closest equivalent is adduced. The results are presented in tables.
