Modern Algorithms of AC Servo-drives Control

This master thesis deals with the modern algorithms of the asynchronous induction machine and permanent magnet induction machine. It focuses at vector control, direct torque control and input-output feedback linearization. It also describes a library creation and its usages in the Matlab – Simulink environment. The final part of this thesis contains an implementation of chosen algorithms on the DSC Freescale 56F800E family.

Gradient Boosting Machine and Artificial Neural Networks in R and H2O

Artificial neural networks are fascinating machine learning algorithms. They used to be considered unreliable and computationally very expensive. Now it is known that modern neural networks can be quite useful, but their computational expensiveness unfortunately remains. Statistical boosting is considered to be one of the most important machine learning ideas. It is based on an ensemble of weak models that together create a powerful learning system. The goal of this thesis is the comparison of these machine learning models on three use cases. The first use case deals with modeling the probability of burglary in the city of Chicago. The second use case is the typical example of customer churn prediction in telecommunication industry and the last use case is related to the problematic of the computer vision. The second goal of this thesis is to introduce an open-source machine learning platform called H2O. It includes, among other things, an interface for R and it is designed to run in standalone mode or on Hadoop. The thesis also includes the introduction into an open-source software library Apache Hadoop that allows for distributed processing of big data. Concretely into its open-source distribution Hortonworks Data Platform.

Legal regulation of greenhouse gas emission allowance trading scheme

Legal Regulation of the Trading with Greenhouse Gases Emission Allowances Climate change is global environmental problem. It is very likely caused with contribution of anthropogenic greenhouse gases emissions, especially by carbon dioxide. Thus some kind of regulation of these emissions is needed. Environmental law is offering wide range of regulatory mechanisms. Economic tools are part of them and are relatively new and innovative. Because I find very interesting to assess the influence of economic tools upon climate change problem, trading with greenhouse gases emission allowances is chosen as my thesis. My aim was how particular EU implementation works and if it is effective. Second connected aim was how these EU implementation was carried out in national laws. Czech and Slovak legislature is chosen as the most available example. In the first part climate change problem is described, together with its causes and connections with environmental law. Sources related to climate change influencing environmental law in international, European and national law are identified. Further emission allowances themselves and their position in the sources of environmental law were described and at last but not least analysis of benefits and handicaps of particular EU and national implementations was carried out. Návrh systému personálního řízení v RP Komponent, s.r.o.

Cílem práce je provést rozbor personální práce ve firmě RP Komponent, s.r.o. a zpracovat návrh na zavedení systému personálního řízení včetně personálního řešení obsazení pozice finančního ředitele. V teoretické části se práce opírá nejen o teorii řízení lidských zdrojů, ale rozebírá i témata pracovní motivace, stresu jako faktoru snižujícího pracovní výkonnost a firemní kultury a jejich souvislost s tématikou personálního řízení. Situace ve firmě je demonstrována na konkrétních příkladech, práce obsahuje praktické návrhy jak situaci řešit.

The Czech Digital Library - aggregation and dissemination of digital content from the Czech libraries

The goal of the Czech Digital Library is to aggregate content of digital libraries in the Czech Republic. It serves both as a common interface for end users and as a primary national data provider for other national and international projects, especially for Europeana and for the Central portal of the Czech libraries - KNIHOVNY.CZ. Tools to support complex digitization processes which include production, workflow monitoring, dissemination and archiving are developed as an open source in the frame of the project. The software solution for digital library - Kramerius system - is used in more than 30 libraries in the Czech Republic and provides access to tens of millions digital objects. ProArc - system compatible with national and international standards is used in several libraries for digital document production. With regard to the archival part of the solution, standards for long term archiving, such as the OAIS model, are implemented in cooperation with Archivematica system.

Czech relief and development aid

Práce zpracovává problematiku rozvojové spolupráce a humanitární pomoci. Daná problematika je v práci aplikovaná na konkrétních projektech dvou nejznámějších neziskových organizací, které se v této oblasti angažují, ADRY a Člověka v tísni.Cílem práce bylo sledovat a porovnat tyto organizace z mnoha aspektů a přiblížit tak odlišnosti a similarity dvou nejznámějších poskytovatelů pomoci. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na obecné seznámení s rozvojovou problematikou a vývojovými etapami, přibližuje legislativní úpravu a finanční stránku problematiky. Dále se věnuje humanitární pomoci, jejím formám a institucím angažujících se na humanitárním poli jak doma, tak v zahraničí.Stěžejní částí je poskytnutí praktického pohledu na dané odvětví případovou studií.

Použitelnost technických indikátorů na českém akciovém trhu

Diplomová práce se zabývá použitelností technických indikátorů jako jedné z metod technické analýzy na českém akciovém trhu. Postupně rozebírá vybraných sedm technických indikátorů, které jsou aplikovány na vybraných sedm akciových kurzů. Cílem bylo, vedle přiblížení a charakteristiky českého akciového trhu a konkrétních jednotlivých metod technické analýzy, zejména zjištění a závěrečné konstatování, zda se aplikované indikátory výnosově osvědčily při načasování nákupů a prodejů jednotlivých akciových titulů. K tomuto účelu byly zkonstruovány tři typy výnosových měr a také celý systém hodnocení sledující navazující charakteristiky jednotlivých aplikací. Český akciový trh zde byl reprezentován Burzou cenných papírů Praha a.s. a jejím nejlikvidnějším a nejobjemnějším segmentem SPAD.
