Analýza trasování a vytíženosti manipulantů v lisovací hale
Bark, Ondřej ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on tracing in layout by handlers between assembly lines in new plant for corporation Continental Automotive Czech Republic ltd, where boosters are produced. The theoretical part involves definitions of logistics, supply chain, material flow and handling equipment. Furthermore, methods of mathematic programming and software equipment are described, such as quadratic assignment problem, knapsack problem, travelling salesman problem from graph theory. In the practical part the situation in corporation has been analyzed and the data prepared for further examination. Then layout of plant and internal processes are evaluated and an appropriate model or concept of solution is selected. Subsequently, application in MS Excel is created with support of VBA scripts (3 kinds of layouts). The user manipulates with application followed by Solver for implementation of a new solution into practice. Finally, the models are interpreted and verified by Lingo. The focus of the thesis is the design of a layout change of a new plant including the description of tracing.
Utilization of The Hungarian method for solution of Assignment problem
Petrovičová, Andrea ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Borovička, Adam (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to present the basic of Assignment problem and also of the utilization of The Hungarian method. The theoretical part describes economic and mathematical model of problem. The paper describes in detail combinatorial optimization algorithm, The Hungarian method, which is considered one of the most efficient algorithm of solving process of Assignment problem. In the practical part, the algorithm is applied to create a new algorithm in VBA for MS Office Excel, which could be considered to be alternative optimization modeling software. Solution of tasks of great dimension and application of The Hungarian method to Transportation problem contribute to complex image of difficulty of the method.
Implementation of MS EXCEL and VBA in business field
Zeman, Michal ; Benáčanová, Helena (advisor) ; Hirko, Michal (referee)
Bachelor thesis describes the use of MS Excel and VBA to improve processes in a small carpentry firm KendyDoor. The objective of this thesis is to analyze processes of the firm, its deficiencies and to use gained information to improve them. The objectives are realized by advising implementation of MS Excel and VBA in firm processes and by realization of practical project -- creation of pricing document for KendyDoor.
Implementation of VBA for processes automation in university environment
Dušek, Jakub ; Benáčanová, Helena (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
This bachelor thesis brings a description of application development that optimizes and automates certain operations at IT Help desk at University of New York in Prague. MS Excel and programming language Visual Basic for Application (VBA) are used for development of aforementioned application The first part of the thesis is focused on environment description and inner factors. Thanks to the extensive description of relevant processes it was possible to identify its bottlenecks and optimize them with the developed application. The second part is dedicated to solution of this application. Here I describe its usage by means of screenshots. I also introduce important parts of the source code which is described subsequently.
Capacitated Arc Routing Problem
Franc, Zdeněk ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Fesenko, Anastasiya (referee)
The Capacitated Arc Routing Problem has many applications in real life. The aim of this problem is to minimize the total cost at fulfilment of the requirements of arcs. The Capacitated Arc Routing Problem is an extension of the Chinese Postman Problem, which is a special type of the Vehicle Routing Problems. In this thesis is explained the issue of the Chinese Postman Problem and its extensions at first. Subsequently the applications of mathematical models are illustrated on a model example. However these mathematical models, which are searching the optimal solution, do not use so much in reality. Therefore the randomized heuristic algorithm for solving these problems is suggested and programmed in this thesis. Subsequently this heuristic was applied to case study of garbage collection in Podebrady city.
Use of VBA in business practice
Nagrant, Richard ; Benáčanová, Helena (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
My diploma thesis is dedicated to the issue of data mining, its part of predictive analysis and then process that is used in HP for different prediction. The introductory part describes the concept of data mining, its role and benefits. To one of its tasks fall predictive analysis, where I discussed the principles of its use. Then follows framework HP, which uses one of the tasks of predictive analysis. In the practical part, I applied the use VBA to automate one part of the process of converting text to numerical data, assuming different rules. The result is a set of macros support, system sheet and the new ribbon for data transformation.
Ekonomické hodnocení návratnosti investic do efektivního energetického konceptu staveb
Vacek, Jan
Vacek, J. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2015. The diploma thesis deals with the economic evaluation of the investment into en-ergy- efficient concepts of buildings and with the economic evaluation of the op-timization of the current energic solutions. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a general tool in MS Excel for the economic evalution mentioned above. And consequently is to execute the test of this program in terms of application on the real case study. The results are simulated in Crystal Ball based on Monte Carlo method to eliminate the risk of uncertainty.
Data migration data model in core banking system implementation project
Krofika, Pavel ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Kupka, Radek (referee)
This thesis follows up two views on the data migration project. First of all there is a basic description of data migration within MBI model. This model is created by information technology department on the University of Economy in Prague. The thesis fills in this model data migration task and related objects as task roles or documents. In the next part the thesis focus on concrete project of implementation of core banking system. More detail is dedicated to the data migration part of this project. First there are described principles of work in data migration and next the thesis aims on data model of data migration which is used as a documentary tool. This model is evaluated from the benefits and risks view for data migration and next there are described creation and updating of it. These activities are provided mostly by macros in VBA script language, which are created here for these purposes. In the end some options of model extension are designed and evaluated.
Possibilities of using VBA in business practice
Bukovský, Josef ; Benáčanová, Helena (advisor) ; Rybka, Čestmír (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes the use of advanced techniques while working in MS Excel and VBA environment in Hewlett Packard. The purpose of this thesis is to give high level advices in the area of collecting and analyzing of data and to discuss advanced options of MS Excel. All above is being described on practical tasks in the Hewlett Packard project "P2014" and so with the possibility to transfer all got knowledge to everyday' s life of employees not only in Hewlett Packard.
