Využití botanických zahrad pro ekologickou výchovu veřejnosti

Botanické zahrady mohou přispívat k ekologické výchově, osvětě, návštěvníků tím, že mají nezastupitelnou úlohu ve zprostředkování vztahů mezi rostlinami a jejich abiotickým prostředím, mezi rostlinami navzájem a mezi rostlinami a člověkem. Poznání těchto souvislostí a toho, že rostliny jsou primárními producenty, a tedy počátkem potravních řetězců, je zde chápáno jako základní kámen ekologické výchovy v botanických zahradách. Jsou uvedeny botanické zahrady v České republice se stručnou charakteristikou. Náměty na ekologickou výchovu jsou rozvedeny pro jednotlivé cílové skupiny a jsou doplněny příklady vhodných učebních materiálů.

Forming children's relationship to animals of age 3 -7

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to decsribe how the relation between children ans animals is created in nursery school, to compare in this regard nursery schools in the town and in the countrside and to offer appropriate activities having as a target present to children animated and inanimate nature. In theoretical part there is a relation between child and animal and possibility of contact between children and animals especially through the nursery schools and by the activities prepared by them. It is clarified here which are the requirements to teachers regarding environmental education. The aim of the practical part is to find out whith help of the questionnaire research what is the relation of children between 3 and 7 years old to animals according to statement of their parents and teachers. Next point is to find out if the nursery schools allow to children direct contact with animals and how they do it. Activities offered by nursery school in Branice and serving as an introduction to animated nature and creation of relation to nature are also included in practical part. The examples of activities developing the knowledge about animals could be as an ispiration for teachers. In the end of this thesis there is list of selected organisations in Southern Bohemia offering to children contact with animals.

Cooperation between Kindergarten and family in environmental education

The work deals with the cooperation of the nursery school and the family in the area of environmental education and education of pre-school childern. The theoretical part is focused on explanation of concepts and functions of the family, nursery schoul and environmental education. There are listed possible forms of cooperation of nursery school and the family in this area. In the practical part of this work, there are determined objectives and methology of work and analysis of the questionnaire survey. Finally, a summary of the whole research results is carried out. The last part of this work represents proposals of joint activities for parents and nursery schools with environmental themes.

Realization of environmental education in special schools

Environmental education puts emphasis on getting to know our environment and its relationship with man, and becoming aware of the necessity to preserve conditions for life. Constant care of our environment is closely linked to the state of the environmental awareness and education level of the population. The Ministry of the Environment bears responsibility for environmental tuition, education and public awareness (hereinafter EVVO). In this respect, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, which published methodological instructions to bring the EVVO into practice, is no less important. This bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical parts. The theoretical part contains a description of environmental education, its realisation in schools, the state EVVO programme, special school system and the EVVO in the Region of South Bohemia. The research part of the bachelor thesis made use of qualitative research. To fulfil the objectives defined I chose the survey method. The technique used to collect data was an individual non-standardised interview. The research set consisted of the EVVO school coordinators, school headmasters/headmistresses or teachers responsible for EVVO in special schools in the region of České Budějovice. The objective of this bachelor thesis was to find out in which way environmental education was realised in all special schools in the region of České Budějovice. All the research questions have been answered, and it has been found out that environmental education is realised in six out of seven special schools, and all these six special schools realise environmental education in similar ways. These six special schools realise environmental education within school subjects, and they chose the combined form of play and theory. All respondents use various aids in their lessons, and five of them take part in environmental education projects. Six special schools realise environmental education according to the Framework Education Programme and two of them draw on the EVVO methodological instructions. The services of ecological centres are used by six special schools realising environmental education, but financing these services is complicated for them. The results of this bachelor thesis may contribute to a better orientation in the questions of the EVVO realised in special schools, and they will be offered to the Cassiopeia Ecological and Global Education Centre for the project ?I Cannot See, I Cannot Hear, But I Know ??.

How to motivate primary school children to think and act in an environmental way

The contents of the Thesis feature a survey of contemporary international attitude to environmental development and its effect on the educational trends in the Czech republic. Also, the short-term eco-educational project intended for primary school children is included here in the Thesis. The aim of the project is to arouse environmental awareness of children and excite their interest in this matter, which is considered to be the first essential step towards the sustainable development.

It offers the complex data for people, who are interested in work with children in this ecological way. It presents Czech ecokindergartens and their school syllabi. The practical part of the work focuses on the evaluation of the yearlong environmental program in kindergarten class.
