Main objective of this thesis is to extend existing functionality of Integrated Development Environment (IDE) BlueJ with possibility of working with streams in an interactive mode. This new functionality helps to falicitate and improve teaching of programming within the First Architecture methodology. First part of this thesis deals with IDE BlueJ and discusses problematic software con-structions which don´t have sufficient support in interactive mode. Main focus is put on streams. Another part of this thesis suggests possible options for extension which should be integrated to the existing functionality. Following part focuses on analysis of the proposed changes and final part discusses implementation itself and describes author´s process of realization.

Food allergy in patients elder than 14 years with atopic dermatitis - clinical significance of certain immunological parameters
Čelakovská, Jarmila ; Ettler, Karel (advisor) ; Bystroň, Jaromír (referee) ; Dastychová, Eliška (referee)
Food allergy is now recognized as a worldwide medical problem, as food allergy prevalence is gradually increasing. The importance of food allergy in children with atopic eczema, especially during first three years of life, was confirmed by extensive studies. Up to now, studies dealing with food allergy in adult patients suffering from atopic eczema, are rare. It was shown that severe eczema could be worsened by pollen related foods in studies with limited number of patients. However, the significance of food allergy to common food allergens (cow milk, wheat, soy, egg) in adult patients with atopic eczema is very likely underestimated. The aim of our study was to follow the occurence of food allergy to cow milk and wheat flour, respectively, and to evaluate the clinical value of atopy patch test, elimination diet, and other diagnostic methods in the diagnostic work - up of food allergy in patients with atopic eczema over 14 years of age compared to double - blind, placebo controlled food challenge, which is considered as a gold standard in diagnostic work - up of food allergy. Food allergy to cow milk and wheat flour was confirmed in five patients (3,4 %) from 149 patients enrolled to this study (in one patient simultaneously to cow milk and wheat, in four patients to wheat) by double - blind,...

The proposal of heritage tourism development project
TŮMOVÁ, Blanka
The main aim of this thesis was to develop a project proposal entitled "Personality Karel Komzák" which means there is a spreading Vltavotýnské celebration of the city diverse cultural performances of the famous personality. The purpose of this project is to attract more tourists to the city during the ongoing festival and thus contribute to a deeper understanding of the history of microregion Vltavotýnsko for the visitors center of celebration of the city. The project represents the personality of Karel Komzák not only the citizens of the city and its surroundings, but also to all the tourists coming through Vltavotýnské celebration of the city increases the attractiveness of the town Tyn nad Vltavou as a destination of cultural tourism, increases visitation of microregion as a whole, will contribute to extension of period of stay of tourists, thereby increasing average spending of tourists in the destination. Potential visitors to the consumption of the product in the form of cultural performances Karel Komzák satisfy a broader range of their needs, deepen their knowledge about the historical significance Vltavotýnsko. Drafted project that is meaningful, like economically viable, and which is consistent with the principles of the environment, can the city Tyn nad Vltavou pose some challenge to its realization, and thus visibility, and in particular meeting the needs of participants in cultural tourism.

The influence of land cover changes and landscape fragmentation on provision of the carbon sequestration ecosystem service
Pechanec, V. ; Purkyt, Jan ; Cudlín, Pavel
The aim of our contribution is to analyse the influence of land cover changes and landscape fragmentation in two small catchments (Všeminka, Fryštácký potok) within the forest–agricultural landscape of eastern Moravia (Czech Republic) on the carbon sequestration ecosystem service. Fragmentation was analysed using landscapeecological indices within ArcGIS 10.x software using the Patch Analyst extension. Data about the carbon sequestration ecosystem service were processed in the InVEST model. In the Všeminka catchment, carbon sequestration increased over the entire period of observation of 1953–2012. In the Fryštácký potok catchment, carbon sequestration decreased from 1950 to 2005, but increased from 2005 to 2012. The changes in fragmentation were not significant between 1953 and 2012, and so changes in carbon sequestration were caused mostly by land cover changes. The relationships among land cover change, fragmentation, and carbon sequestration from 1953 to 2012 are discussed.

Data compression in ORACLE database system and it's impact on performance
Vacek, Martin ; Macák, Petr (advisor) ; Chlapek, Dušan (referee)
In present day, when magnitude of user generated content rises (web 2.0 technology) and important becomes also the role of multimedial content which is wanted to be stored within DBMS, the space saving turns to be a challenge for back-end developers on the side of providers as well as for database administrators on the side of their clients. How to store, manage and process data effectively led Oracle to research and development of several technologies that are to help DBA in resolving up to date's data distribution requirements for endusers. For instance, let's name clustered tables, partitioned tables, data compression. Each of these technologies comes with different approach to the problem, has it's pros, cons and limitations and sometimes it is possible to combine them at some level. In this thesis I concentrate on the last forenamed and its implementation in database system Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition R1. Basically it consists of two alternatives of data compression application. One of them already implemented in previous version - Oracle 9i EE R2 and the second one -- separately licensed -- newly introduced along with version 11g that consists of compression functions package for various data structures and operations. By means of theoretic analysis of functionality, benchmark definition, running several tests and their interpretation I route this thesis to possible practical use in decision making, when to apply compression, when to avoid it, eventually as a starting point for additional testing within the scope of more extensive theses further unraveling this topic.

Credibility and distribution of information in the context of economic and technological transformation
Peřinka, Petr ; Filipová, Alena (advisor) ; Zeman, Jiří (referee)
The recent economic crisis has hit most sectors of human activities. The media sector was no exception. Before the crisis began, media companies had to face challenges of technological and cultural transformation, the impact was even more accelerated by global economic downturn. The boom of the Internet and, by extension, social media, redefine consumer behavior in relation to information whose quantity and accessibility are rapidly increasing through technological innovation. The goal of this work is to evaluate impact of transformational effects on distribution and credibility of information presented in mainstream media. All this in terms of both consumer and mass media, because this synergistic relationship can not by separated.

Banks and their market entry strategy
Sessa, Gionni ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Machek, Martin (referee)
In the global market in which many countries still struggle with the consequences of the financial crisis of 2008, many companies come to the conclusion that growth can be achieved through international marketing activities. This attitude poses big challenges to organization that want to enter the international arena, involving deciding which markets should be entered, how this should be done, through which marketing program and finally how to organize the marketing. International expansion poses risks as well as opportunities to businesses, and it is crucial for the organization to thoroughly evaluate the market in order to take a decision about the market entry strategy. Based on the case studies of Credit Suisse and UBS entering the Brazilian market, this thesis sought to study how Swiss banks entered the country and with what results. Based on an extensive literature review, the two cases have been presented and it was possible to demonstrate that great cultural difference and tight regulation suggest the entry through a merger or an acquisition.

Exit strategy - new challenge to central banking : European Central Bank's experience
Bezvoleva, Tatiana ; Holub, Tomáš (advisor) ; Raková, Marie (referee)
To date, three years into the first global financial and economic crisis of the XXI century, central banks find themselves with significantly expanded balance sheets as a result of the substantial support they provided to the markets through both conventional and unconventional monetary policy tools implemented in response to the turmoil. As the crisis loses its intensity, new policies need to be designed in order to unwind the significant support so as not to derail the recovery and not to pose risks to price and financial stability. For this a proper exit strategy needs to be designed. In the literature to date there is no well-defined notion to what an exit strategy is and, most importantly, there is no unique answer on the principles it should follow. In this thesis the author attempts to identify the determinants of a successful exit strategy and analyse the main challenges policymakers face when designing one. Additionally, the author places a great emphasis on the risks of premature and delayed exits and on the past experiences with this issue. The results are based, to a large degree, on extensive review of literature, which, due to the recent provenience of the problem and its acute importance, is represented in a big part by central bank authorities' speeches, conference papers and some very...

Unsteady flows in convergent channel with stationary walls
Pořízková, P. ; Kozel, Karel ; Horáček, Jaromír
A current challenging question is a mathematical and physical description of the mechanism for transforming the airflow energy in human vocal tract (convergent channel) into the acoustic energy representing the voice source in humans. Goal of this work is to describe mathematical model of flow in 2D convergent channel which involves attributes of real flow as is “Coanda phenomenon”, vortex convection and diffusion, jet flapping etc. along with lower call on computer time, due to later extension in 3D channel flow.

Universal Framework for Mngmt and Monitoring of Linux Traffic Control Facilities
Poduška, Jan ; Bulej, Lubomír (advisor) ; Peterka, Jiří (referee)
The terms "Traffic Control" and "Quality of Service" are used in the terminology of packet-switching based computer networks. They refer to control mechanisms, which can assign different priorities to different data flows or guarantee certain properties according to the requirements of an application (e.g. bandwidth, latency, accessibility). The properties guaranteed by the Quality of Service are especially important if the line capacity is limited, especially for applications that need to transmit data in real-time (IP telephony), since these types of applications usually require stable dataflow and are sensitive to delays. This thesis analyzes the current situation in Traffic Control configuration in Linux. The Linux kernel offers a variety of functions for the classification and scheduling of network traffic. However the configuration of traffic control is proving challenging, since the basic concept used is difficult to understand and the configuration language - "tc"- is very difficult to use. Based on the analysis of the current situation, a universal and extensible framework - the jpQOS - was designed and implemented. This allows easy to use and well arranged configuration and monitoring of the QoS using a unified graphical user interface.
