Progress in Helicene Stationary Phases
Cerhová, Marie
The motivation of this work is to utilize the SFE for the direct preparation of highly pure TiO2 thin films without any subsequent thermal processing. Extraction with pure and modified scCO2 was tested and compared with PLE. Different types of liquid solvents (water, ethanol, acetone etc.) were used as scCO2 modifiers at concentrations from 0 to 30 mass %. The effect of extraction temperature (40–150 °C), pressure (10–65 MPa) and the volume (50–200 g) and flow rate (0.3–1.8 g/min) of solvents passed through the extractor on microstructure and purity of TiO2 thin films were examined.

Mathematical Model for Pressurized Solvent Extraction from Leuzea carthamoides
Machalová, Zdeňka
This work concerns PSE from roots of Leuzea carthamoides and mathematical characterisation of this process. The PSE experiments were carried out at temperature 80°C, pressure 10 MPa and using methanol or ethanol as solvents. The extraction was semi-continuous with various solvent flow rate (0.5, 1, and 2 ml/min). Soxhlet extraction with methanol was used for comparison of methods. The concentration of 20-HE in extracts was determined by HPLC coupled with mass spectrometry. The basic mathematical model was applied to fit experimental data.

Experiments and Modelling of Liquid–Liquid Equilibria in the Mineral Oil + N,N-dimethylformamide System
Sedláková, Zuzana ; Andresová, Adéla ; Morávková, Lenka ; Bogdanić, Grozdana
Description of phase behaviour of a highly nonideal system mineral oil + DMF is a rather complex task, because hydrocarbon feed, which has to be separated into aromatic and nonaromatic fractions, consists of large number of compounds that differ significantly in molecular weight and chemical structure. Such a complex mixture was substituted by two pseudo-components, aromatic and nonaromatic in order to simplify the procedure. They were represented by adequate model compounds, whose thermodynamic behaviour was similar to the original one. The chosen model system simulates properly the real one in the sense of the mutual solubility of aromatic and nonaromatic components. However, this simplification of description of strongly nonideal mixtures should be considered as the first approximation.

Methods of DNA extraction from the fresh papaya fruit and from the candied
Ovesná, Jaroslava ; Hodek, Jan
Aim the work is to provide a working procedure for extraction of amplifiable DNA form papaya fruits (Carica papaya), which are a poor source of DNA. Methods are optimised for DNA extraction from papaya fruits and stones and from candied papaya- these both were predicted as suitable commodities for an eventually screening of non-approved GM papaya in the market of Czech Republic. The methodology was prepared on basis of demand of reference laboratories of public service, which are involved in GMO analyses and also as a flow-work of Methodics for Detection of GM papaya 55-1 and 63-1 (Hodek, Ovesná, Pavlátová 2008) and scientific publication Detection of transgenic papaya lines: extraction protocol optimisation and verification of DNA quality by PCR assay (Ovesná, Hodek 2009).

History and present of peat extraction on the area Borkovická blata
ŠTĚCHOVÁ, Monika
In the general section of this thesis are shortly characterized fossil fuel, peat bogs and peat, process of their origin, their types and importance. Another important part of this work is the extraction of peat, its trend, subsequent restoration and environmental problem of the peat extraction. The main part is the characteristic of the area Borkovická blata, mapping out mining process in the area and the present condition. Furthermore, there is shortly characterized the company Rašelina, a. s., which extracted in Borkovická blata peat for a long time and is still engaged in the extraction and processing of peat.
