Change of the fuel base of the grate hot water boiler with output of 50 MWt from coal to natural gas
Maštera, Václav ; Pecháček, Michal (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is change of the base of the grate hot water boiler wit output of 50 MWt from coal to natur gas. The supply water temperature is 70°C and the pressure 2MPa. The first part of thesis, the coal consumption for the current state of the boiler is calculated. For a natur gas is calculated stoichiometric calculation and then thermal calculation performed. This thesis also assesses the type of boiler operation after changing the fuel base.
Optimization of the cleaning of the heating surfaces on the coal boiler K1 in Plzeňská teplárenská
Kostrhounová, Petra ; Tomáš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the assessment of cleaning of heat transfer surfaces of a coal-fired steam boiler. The first part is devoted to the description of the knowledge about the formation of deposits, the deposits influence on the operation of the plant and cleaning mechanisms. Then, basic information on the operation, design and method of removal of deposits of the K1 boiler is summarised. Based on this knowledge, operating data from four summer months of boiler operation are analysed to determine the fouling condition of the boiler surfaces and over fifty graphs are produced showing the evolution of selected operating values between each cleaning cycle of the convective and plate superheater as well as air preheater. Subsequently, a parametric model of the K1 boiler at 60 % output is created in PPSD, which allows a more detailed analysis of the boiler operating characteristics and is used for a more thorough interpretation of the operating data. In addition, two models for higher boiler outputs and three theoretical models of operating conditions with different levels of surface fouling were developed. To verify the accuracy of the developed model, a calculation of heat transfer through the outlet superheater is performed. Finally, the calculation of steam consumption for sootblowing is performed.
Design of the steam generator for a nuclear power plant
Hort, Lukáš ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about the design of a steam generator for a nuclear power plant. The opening chapters are purely theoretical, with the first one covering nuclear energy as such, the next one continuing with the search for different types of parogenerators and their subsequent comparison. This is followed by a calculation section dealing with the thermal calculation of the parogenerator for the given parameters.
Thermal calculation of steam boiler
Růžička, Tomáš ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the thermal calculation of steam boiler with natural gas fuel. The first part is describing technical characteristic and parametres of the boiler. The main part of this thesis is the thermal calculation of the boiler. The following part deals with determination of steam amount and steam parametres for blowing through pipes of the boiler.
Design of Steam Generator 13 t/h
Pálka, Jaroslav ; Kraml, Stanislav (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
Master's thesis focuses on the design of a steam generator that utilizes superheated steam from a woodchip boiler for heating purposes. The steam generator produces saturated steam with variable parameters that depend on operational requirements. The integration of the steam generator into the thermal circuit is also taken into consideration. The primary objective of this thesis is to conduct through thermal calculations for the steam generator and design the inlets and outlets. In addition, a basic process control system has been designed.
The design of nuclear power plant steam generator
Zimmermann, Jakub ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis consists of three parts. The introductory research section briefly describes the history of nuclear energy, followed by an analysis of the three circuits (primary, secondary, and tertiary) in a nuclear power plant. The second part provides a detailed description of various steam generators used worldwide. The third and main part of this bachelor's thesis covers the thermal calculation of a steam generator, focusing on determining the heat exchange surface area and the length of heat exchange tubes inside, followed by a comparison of steam generator sizes based on their number of connections to a single nuclear reactor block. At the end, I modelled a model and created a diagram of the steam generator based on the results from the thermal calculation.
Design of a heat exchanger for the recovery of waste heat from a sewerage system
Novák, Filip ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Toman, Filip (advisor)
The theoretical part of bachelor thesis was focused on heat exchangers and wastewater heat recovery systems. In theoretical part, everyday applications and practical notes of heat exchangers and recovery systems were emphasized. In practical part of thesis, heat calculation of double tube heat exchanger was carried out for operation in winter months. Using --NTU method, heat output of exchanger was recalculated for each month separately, from which, the total heat recovered in the course of year was calculated. Last part of the thesis was focused on a economical aspect of the heat exchanger (manufacturing and maintenance costs). This amount of money was compared with cost of water heating using heat pump, gas boiler and automatical wood pellet boiler.
Calculation of a heat exchanger in a nuclear power plant
Borovička, Matej ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The main theme of this bachelor thesis is a theoretical and computational description of the steam generator. The first chapter deals with a brief description of nuclear power plants. Particular attention is paid to the power plants of the VVER type, which are used in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the individual components which are important for the operation of a nuclear power plant. The main part of this thesis depicts horizontal and vertical steam generators. Moreover, the PGV-213 type of steam generator that is used in the Dukovany nuclear power plant is more precisely explained. The computation part of this thesis is devoted to the balance and heat calculations of the steam generator. At the conclusion of this thesis, the performance of the steam generator during changes in operating conditions is also described.
