The Modulus of Elasticity of Air-Entrained and Non-Air-Entrained Concrete
Tichý, Aleš ; Misák, Petr (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the verification of the degree of influence of the air-entraining admixture on the modulus of elasticity of concrete. The experiment was carried out for these purposes. The values of static and dynamic modulus of elasticity were determined on drilled cores from concrete blocks of different mixtures. The magnitudes of dynamic modulus of elasticity were determined by using an ultrasonic pulse velocity method and a resonance method. The results are summarized in tabular and graphical form.

The issue of determination of the static modulus of elasticity of concrete in structures
Halamová, Romana ; Misák, Petr (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the measurement of the elastic modulus of concrete in existing structures and possibilities of applicability of equations for the calculation of characteristic values of concrete compressive strength on the modulus of elasticity. The modulus of elasticity is determined by dynamic and static methods on specimens taken from the concrete blocks, whose composition varies by a water cement ratio and varying amounts of admixtures. In conclusion, the results of the measurements are compared and the characteristic values of the modulus of elasticity is determined.

The use of dynamic non-destructive methods for determining the strength of cement from cement plant Hranice
Procházková, Lenka ; Novosad, Petr (referee) ; Brožovský, Jiří (advisor)
Nondestructive testing methods are employed as a tool for evaluation of parameters of building materials, especially to ascertain strength properties and to determine alteration occured during durability tests. An ultrasonic pulse velocity method is one of the most used nondestructive methods. A resonance method is employed among the nondestructive methods less. The aim of this work is to establish the calibration relationships between parameters of nondestructive testing and compressive strength value and flexural tensile strength value, respectively. Moreover, applicability of the calibration relationships is also discussed.

Non-destructive properties detection of concrete of prestressed beams
Mikulec, Jan ; Bílek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
The masers’s thesis is about the methods of non-destructive testing and about determining the properties of prestressed concrete. The first part pursues an introduction on the prestressed concrete, its essence and material properties. The next section describes the non-destructive diagnostic methods used in the practical part – the ultrasound impulse method, the resonance method and the rebound hardness test method. There are described destructive tests on the specimens for the calculation of the calibration. This is followed by a practical part, which describes the item tested - truss, its manufacturing, storage, and perform the test. Then search value are calculated from the test results and results are compared according to various procedures specified in the standards. The last section is devoted to the calculation of camber truss and loss of preload.

Using of accurate capacitance bridge for inductance measurements
Uher, Miroslav ; Ševčík,, Karel (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with possibilities of measurement of inductance by using of accurate capacitance bridge AH 2500E. In metrology there are no appropriate devices available for accurate measurement of inductance. It can be realized by four methods. The newest one is based on T elements, it is not used for this purpose yet and it is practically investigated in CMI Brno. For its introduction to practice it is neccessary to complete computer simulations and analysis of influences affecting measurement. It is also inevitable to examine repeatability of measurement, define methodology of measurement and potential corrections of measured values.

Modulus of elasticity of natural stone
Hoduláková, Michaela ; Cikrle, Petr (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
The value of the modulus of elasticity of concrete depends on the concrete composition (particularly on the aggregate used). The contemporary construction industry literature lacks comprehensive studies of the modulus of elasticity for each type of the rock stone. Therefore, this study focuses on testing and comparing the modulus of elasticity of selected types of rock stones used for the production of crushed coarse aggregates into the concrete. The modulus of elasticity are determined by static and dynamic methods. The work also deals with the modulus of elasticity of granite in different stages of weathering.

Comparison of elastic moduli of building materials
Ballon, Marek ; Hubáček, Adam (referee) ; Brožovský, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the detection of static and dynamic elastic moduli of building materials, their comparison and overview of the relationships between them. Describes methods for the determination of static modulus of elasticity in the press loading and dynamic modulus of elasticity obtained by non-destructive methods, including ultrasonic pulse method and resonance method.
