Public Transport Simulation in Brno
Němec, František ; Král, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement public transport simulator in Brno. Information about the departure times and routes of each public transport lines are extracted from online traffic timetables. Data from which traffic network is generated are obtained from OpenStreetMap project. The thesis contains a description of the basic approaches to create traffic simulators, especially the description of the microscopic approach on which is this simulator based. The second part of thesis includes the design and implementation of simulator, whose main components are ways of traffic management, representation of transport networks and the generation of OpenStreetMap data.
Schematic maps of Public Transport System
Kriške, Petr ; Fišer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Plánka, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on creating schematic maps and their using in public transport system. It describes methods of making and individual variations of these maps. Further, the thesis is trying to evaluate and classify the available czech and world cartographic works with this content. Based on this analysis are proposed the new alternative solutions of schematic map in public transport in Nový Jičín.

Junction on Motorway R52 near Moravany
Lička, Vojtěch ; Novák, Jan (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
My diploma thesis deals with a connection of Videňská street to the future residential district situated between Přízřenice and Modřice. The level of this thesis is a technical study. The main topic of the thesis is a design of an interchange on the Vídeňská and Moravanská streets. The thesis is focused on a technical verification of variable ramps’ connections from Vídeňská street to Moravanská street. Another important point of the thesis is an improvement of security quality of cycle traffic and a creation of a traffic junction of the city transportation system in this area. The SWOT analysis was applied to evaluation and selection the most advantageous variant of the variants. Depending on SWOT analysis, the thesis is focused on more detailed design of the most advantageous variant.
Equipment and Technical Design of Public Transport Stops
Ludvíková, Jana ; Ludvík, Matěj (referee) ; Valehrach, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the topic of equipment and technical design of tram stops, which are one of the elements of personal transport in cities. The thesis was expanded about bus and trolleybus transport. A catalog of possible spatial lines of urban public transport, types of stops and their equipment was prepard. Part of this thesis is a questionnaire deailing with property relations and urban public transport stops realization in individual regions of the Czech Republic. Based on this informations, a procedure was developed for how the designer should approach the design of urban public transport stops.
The analysis of transport infrastructure of the city České Budějovice during an emergency situation with a focus on public transport provider
ŠIMKOVÁ, Hana
The subject of this Master's Diploma thesis is an analysis of the transport infrastructure in the city of České Budějovice during an emergency situation with focus on transport providers. The goal of this research is to find out on what level the providers of the city public transportation are prepared to respond to outstanding and extraordinary situations that impact the city's transport infrastructure. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the definition of basic terms which are related to the issues of chosen topic. The theoretical part then mainly focuses on the individual means of transportation in the Czech Republic and the approach from the perspective of the European Union. Part of the practical section of this thesis is the basic characteristics of the city of České Budějovice and the public transportation provided on its municipality area. The interaction between the individual means of transportation is then described with regard to the integrated transportation system. In the research part, a selection of elements of transportation that needs to be protected due to their importance and essentiality is concluded. Then, there is also a controlled interview with an employee of the Transportation Company of the city of České Budějovice. With the help of a multicriteria analysis, the risks that may endanger the identified elements of interest, e.g. public transportation stops, are identified. Based on all the obtained information and the results of the analysis, preventative measures that might significantly help in case of an actual emergency are provided to the Transportation Company. In addition, the conducted multicriteria analysis of risks can be used as a platform for possible planning processes.

Tram Transport - Public Transportation Backbone
Kopecký, Vojtěch ; Všetečka, Martin (referee) ; Valehrach, Jan (advisor)
The work Tram transport as the backbone of public transport deals with the issue of tram transport as the main mode of transport in the city of Brno. Emphasis is placed on the history of the Brno system, including its connection with trolleybus transport. Furthermore, the current state of the Brno street railway and fast trams and their supplementation by trolleybus transport are described in detail, including the processing of socio-economic data that determine the system. In comparison with other cities in the Czech Republic, but also abroad, its positive and negative aspects are identified. Based on this information, the potential future development of the system is processed, especially the construction of new lines and the improvement of existing tracks.
Deviations prediction in timetables based on AVL data
Jiráček, Zbyněk ; Martínek, Vladislav (advisor)
Relevant path planning using public transport is limited by reliability of the transportation network. In some cases it turns out that we can plan paths with respect to expected delays and hereby improve the reliability of the resulting path. This study focuses on prediction of the delays in public transport systems using data from vehicle tracking systems -- known as the AVL data. These data are typically collected by the transit operators. Various algorithms are compared using real data from Prague trams tracking system. The study also includes a discussion about a possible utilization of the information gained from the used methods in passenger information systems. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
