Alternative fuels for internal combustion engines
Žídek, Tomáš ; Maršálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is processed a survey of the alternative fuels for the spark-ignition combustion engines. The properties and the production, the most important components, infrastructure of service station and representatives of the vehicles powered by the type of specific fuel are stated for these fuels. There are defined the benefits and disadvantages of alternative fuels. The properties and parameters are critically evaluated for individual fuel. The use of alternative fuels in the future is outlined at the end of this thesis.
Alternative fuel for internal combustion engines for commercial vehicles
Snášel, Pavel ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The liquid petroleum fuels, gasoline and diesel, have gradually enforced during the development of thermal machines. Because these fuels are non-renewable and their usage is joined with many ecological and economical problems, we face the task how to replace these dominating fuels. The purpose of this thesis is to summarize and compare the properties of alternative fuels, especially their heating value, and sketch the supposed progress of their usage in transportation.
Alternative fuels for SI engines
Balažovič, Lukáš ; Ušiak, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of alternative fuels for petrol engines. The first is a brief introduction to the issue of petrol engines, followed by a description of each alternative fuel. The thesis summarizes the most important information and comparison of alternatives with conventional gasoline is made. Each fuel is evaluated in terms of advantages, disadvantages, and position on the market.
Alternative Fuel Engines
Bilík, Michal ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with an overview of alternative fuels for road vehicles and their effect on ecology. This work also describes the specific characteristics and peculiarities of power units which run on alternative fuels, their advantages, disadvantages and shows examples of some vehicles.
Major industrial accidents in the Czech Republic - accident analysis of LPG
Maťa, Jakub ; MBA, Petr Bulíček, (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The first part of diploma thesis focuses on the characteristics of LPG accidents, their prevention, evaluation and manifestations, the understanding of which is a key prerequisite for statistical evaluation. Next, attention is paid to the characteristics of LPG, which is complemented by safety and identification of the substance and a survey of LPG storage together with protection and safety zones. The main part of the thesis describes individual LPG accidents in the Czech Republic between 2003 and 2022, which are evaluated by the ESIA method and the ISAAC causal model. Finally, a statistical evaluation and a proposal for a correctional measure together with its economic evaluation is made.
Diagnostika LPG
ŠIK, Matěj
The search for possible energy sources to power cars is a constant question. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyze and summarize the information obtained on the issue of LPG diagnostics. The theoretical part deals with LPG, its history and current use. It also defines the achieved stages of alternative LPG propulsion in the Czech Republic and analyses the factors that have a positive or negative effect on the development of alternative LPG propulsion. The reader will also be introduced to the most important manufacturers of LPG systems. Finally, conversions to LPG propulsion and the types of systems used are described. This is followed by a detailed introduction to the various components of the LPG system. In the research part, two issues of cars converted to LPG propulsion are addressed. The first part introduces the course of diagnostics of LPG-powered cars from a company named AUTOGAS - CENTRUM, s.r.o. and describes the diagnostic measurements. Using a specific case, it is explained how the diagnostics is performed, how it is evaluated and what is the further procedure based on the facts found. The second part deals with the difference in the performance of the car before and after installation of the LPG system. Measurements of these values were carried out at Korpet s.r.o.
Porovnání parametrů motorů na kapalná a plynná paliva.
Červinka, Karel
This thesis introduces and describes a fuel for internal combustion engines. The first part is devoted to a description of the distribution of alternative fuels for road vehicles, pays attention to fuels of biological origin-biofuels. In the second part deals with the problems of exhaust emissions analyze in detail the individual substances and their impact on humans and the environment. The next section describes the vehicle, vehicle test and measuring equipment. Custom work represents the single measurement vehicles Subaru Outback, which is to identify the parameters of the vehicle on two different fuels and their comparison
Diagnostika vozidel s pohonem LPG
BÍLEK, Martin
The diploma thesis on the topic Diagnostics of LPG vehicles describes in detail the parts of the LPG apparatus. It also deals with the use of methods of serial and parallel diagnostics and dedicated diagnostic devices for determining the actual condition of the diagnosed vehicle in connection with the LPG propulsion. Finally, the obtained results are evaluated together with the determination of the potential development of the vehicle condition in the future.
Dieselgas Engines
Březina, Tomáš ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Dieselgas engines. The first part work is focused on the history and development of engines and motor fuels. The second part deals with diesel engines, a description of the engine operating cycle, fuel injection system, types of diesel fuel, engine efficiency and emissions. The following chapter provides an overview of gaseous fuels suitable for passenger and public transport. Of these fuels, the two most commonly used are further elaborated. The fourth chapter deals with the use of gaseous fuels in diesel engines, the possibility of conversion of these engines, both by conversion to petrol and without this change. The last chapter deals with the effect on consumption and emissions of dual fuel engines.
Polarization sensitivity of the fibre optics grating sensors
Babieska, Lukáš ; Šifta, Radim (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the effect of full-length fixation of optical fiber gratings on their polarization dependence. In addition, the effect of primary protection and parameters of optical fiber gratings on their intrinsic polarization dependence was also investigated. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly describes the historical development of optical fiber gratings, the types of optical fiber gratings used and also describes in detail the principles of polarization dependence of optical fiber gratings and the mechanisms of polarization dependence of optical fiber gratings. In the practical part of the thesis, suitable measurement methods for measuring the polarization dependence of optical fiber gratings are proposed. Furthermore, these methods are optimized and used for subsequent measurements of the effect of fixation on the polarization dependence of optical fiber gratings. Many different methods of fixation of the optical fiber gratings were then used to measure the effect of fixation, and the degree of polarization dependence of the optical fiber gratings was evaluated for each of the different fixation methods. The practical part of the thesis is concluded with a detailed summary of the results obtained.
