Uplatnění lean managementu v administrativních procesech

The diploma thesis applies to Lean management and it´s application in administrative processes. The goal of diploma thesis is proposal to increase the value added activities and to reduce waste at the same time in the area of administration. The methods of Lean management as 7+1 waste, Kaizen, Lean office, Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma are applied in administrative processes in Shared service centre. These methods are evaluated by performance and productivity of processes.
Ekonomický dopad implementace Operational Excellence

The bachelor thesis deals with the Operational Excellence method, which is implemented in XY company. The economic impact will be detected in selected teams acquired by the individual instruments of this method. Five teams were analyzed based on the data (improvement ideas) and the annual savings were calculated. Forty improvements were used in total. Some teams have potential annual savings of up to millions.
Lean Management of a Selected Part of a Production System

The work is focused on improving the concept of lean management in a selected engineering company, where analyzes are performed with the help of selected methods and tools to reveal current problems. The data are then processed and based on them, measures for change are proposed with an emphasis on minimizing the rate of waste of time and costs and increasing production efficiency.

Records and Inventory Management in a Manufacturing Company

Inventories are very important for manufacturing company because the operations with inventories belong to key activities. These companies into inventories insert a large amount of funds and every wrong activity causes a loss of these funds. The objective of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate inventory management in a manufacturing company and find the optimal solution. In this work, there is specified the term inventories and are described the activities related to inventories for example accounting for inventories, valuation of inventories and inventory management. Within determining the optimal situation particular formulae and different inventory management methods are used and compared as well. The bachelor thesis is focused on inventory management in manufacturing company which is a manufacturer of modern headlamps. The proposed changes that make inventory management more efficient are the result of the work.

The topic of my dissertation work is The Competition Analysis of company Stroje a Mechanismy, a.s. As the main goal, that I staked, is to gather as many relevant information as possible about the issue, closely analyze the company and compare it with their main competitors. I´ll try to suggest several tips how to improve the situation and how to increase competitiveness based on my competition analysis. I choose this topic, because I think that the one of the most important thing for modern company is to actively checking competitors, assimilate them, and always be a one step ahead, and as a delivery company could be an attractive partner for its customers.
Application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology on solving problem of internal complaints

The aim of this diploma thesis is to apply Lean Six Sigma methodology on a specific improvement project in manufacturing company Lindab, s.r.o. The purpose of the project is to reduce number of complaints from inner customer, improve quality of selected product and increase overall effectiveness of manufacturing process. The first part of the thesis focuses on theoretical basis of Lean Six Sigma methodology. Each chapter in this part corresponds to one phase of DMAIC improvement cycle. Theoretical part contains descriptions of methods, tools and techniques used in practical part. The second part is dedicated to practical usage of the methodology. The DMAIC cycle is there applied on project of reducing defects on selected product. Attention is put on detailed process mapping, developing measuring system and process analysis. The main output of the practical part is introduction of specific proposals for improvement leading to reduction of defects and waste in manufacturing process.
Comparing approaches to improving processes in selected banks

Diploma thesis focuses on individual approaches to increase process efficiency in Czech banks. Target banks are Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna and Raiffeisenbank. Trend of bank services commoditization is forcing banks to reduce products prices and increase quality. The goal of this thesis is to compare approaches of forementioned banks and evaluate them based on pre-set criteria. After the analysis suggestions will be made. The first part diploma thesis explains process management terminology and presents specific theoretical approaches to process enhancing. The second part compares specific projects in three banks and suggests specific improvements. Diploma thesis also confirms the philosophy of continuous process improvement is valid for tertiary sector as well.
Business model in the era of Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 is the current trend of automation and increasing digitalization of wide range of processes. This trend brings about a revolution in manufacturing technologies, but also has its challenges that influence the labor market. The thesis introduces the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) and provides the most important information for its understanding. It also allows to understand the specific characteristics of business models in the digital society and it clarifies the theory of maturity models. These serve as a basis for assessing the company's level of maturity in relation to Industry 4.0. The next section contains a proposal for improvement of the business model in food manufacturing company. For this purpose, the production process and related processes are analysed and the current situation is evaluated according to the Industry 4.0 requirements. Based on this evaluation, the problematic areas are selected and their specific improvements are proposed. In addition, the work includes a proposal of specific steps that a company must take to be prepared and take advantage of the era of Industry 4.0.
Implementation of lean management techniques in selected company

The bachelor thesis deals with philosophy of lean management, its methods and tools used in implementation in a company. The theoretical part includes the history of lean management and personalities involved in the development of this technique. It also presents the Toyota Production System and other techniques adopted by companies to prevent waste and increase productivity. These are mainly kaizen and 5S. The knowledge of the techniques described in the theoretical part is used in the elaboration of the practical part of the bachelor thesis. In the chosen company I analyse the current status of the workplace and then implement lean management methods to increase the efficiency of the production process and overall company productivity.
