This master’s thesis is focused on a design of test stand for servodrives loading. The theoretical part analyses state of art of load testing systems and describes main parts of workplaces. In the practical part is design of mechanical construction of workplace and electrical parts of machine. Master’s thesis also includes verification of properties of mechanical assembly and safety functionality verification.
Safety of pneumatic press model

This thesis is concerning functional safety of machinery, concretely safeguard of model of pneumatic press. In the document is briefly introduced norm, which determines safety standards during designing of safe machine. In the next part is mentioned risk assessment written as technical report. In risk assessment are identified possible risks that could appear during working on machine. Furthermore there are listed safety precautions ensuing from assessed risks, list of elements which has been used to safety control of pneumatic press and evaluation of risks according to EN ISO 13849-1 norm. In the part Programming of the device (Programování zařízení) is configuration manual of the device and description of control programme. The description of visualization in FactoryTalk programme is at the end of this thesis.

It contains a description to assess and reduce the risk of machine design of security measures and their application. Functional safety of pressure transmitters of BD SENSORS company

This master thesis examines the functional safety of the pressure sensor XMP i which is produced by BD SENSORS Company. The aim of this thesis is the demonstration of compliance of the pressure sensor XMP I with functional safety integrity level SIL3 requirements. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the concept of functional safety, defines the basic concepts of functional safety, compares the approaches of functional safety according to selected standards and provides a general procedure for the functional safety determination. The second part deal with technical systems reliability defines reliability indicators and describes selected types of reliability analysis used in practice, especially the FMEA/FMECA analysis. Third part deals with the reliability analysis of the sensor XMP i and with evaluation of results.

The first part of the paper will provide a description of what we can imagine under the term of functional safety and why we should pay attention to it. The document also includes introduction of safety components used in a frame of functional safety and its brief description. This bachelor’s thesis deals with the evaluation of present technologies in ensuring functional safety of machinery. The first part devotes to the technical standards, which are related to this issue. It explains the most common terms occurring in these standards and the description of the basic principles for the design and ensuring the functional safety of machinery. The second part presents the elements ensuring functional safety. These are the input elements that monitor a device and its surroundings. Logical elements which, under specified conditions assess inputs and send output elements impulses to respond. Then there is the chapter showing on the example the design and verification of the performance level and safety integrity level.

Safety functions are sorted to the relevant integrity level, is made calculation of average probability of failure and validated safety factor of safety instrumented system according to ČSN EN 61511 and ČSN EN 61508. Is made probability of failure emergency oil pump start-up calculation during shutdown of turbo set.
