The influence of the frequency converter on the life and damage of bearings
Sukovatý, Adam ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Nahodil, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the effect of frequency inverter on the lifetime of roller bearings. The measurement has been carried out on the frequency inverter and induction motor by Siemens in the Switchgear laboratory of Fakulty of elektrical engineering and communication. Data has been recorded and processed on Adash VA4 Pro analyzer. Methods of measuring RMS values and frequency analysis of vibration and current were used for the analysis. Based on the mutual similarity of frequency spectrum, the presence of the high frequency capacitive current in the bearings has been proven. To prevent this, possible solutions have been presented. In the second part of the experiment an effect of changing pulse width modulation (PWM) on vibration was examined. The goal was to make a basic analysis and to provide background material for further research.
Control of dry wall tape (DWT) rewinder
Bis, Jan ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Pásek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a description of the industrial machine of the DWT (drywall tape) rewinder. The winder rewinds and cuts the drywall tape tape into smaller tapes, that are then sold. The first part contains a description of the winder, its structure and functions of its individual parts. The second part contains a description of the control system and the power wiring of winder. The next section contains a description of programming and setting of PLC, frequency inverters, and touch panel. Some modifications are then described when putting the winder into operation. The winder has been successfully implemented and built into a continuous shift operation. However, the development of the rewinder continues to improve its features and user-friendliness.
Frequency inverter for small induction machine
Pavlík, Ondřej ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to continue in prototype realization and a final proposition of three-phase frequency transformer pilot projected in scope of my bachelor work. This transformer is outlined for a small unsynchronized engine to 100 watt output and is designed to supply the fan motor. This suggestion was optimalized from the standpoint of bargain low price and technical feasibility. Powerful part of transformer is solved with help of circuit FSB50450 which is fed from compact source MYRRA 47155. Steering system is guaranteed with circuit MC3PHAC. This device is possible to use in less demanding applications where it was resisted by high expensive price of common frequency transformers.
Dynamic characteristics drive with frequency inverter
Loveček, Vladimír ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Voldán, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a proposal of measurement equipment and software equipment for evaluation of the dynamic characteristics of the drive controlled by frequency inverter, and with subsequent measurement and evaluation. Torque measurements are made using the incremental encoder and evaluated on the basis of mechanical characteristics by development environment MATLAB.
Design of Pump-Inverter
Ferda, Tomáš ; Sládek, Josef (referee) ; Sovják, Richard (advisor)
Subject of this Bachelor’s Thesis is futuristic wall variable-frequency drive design, intended for pumps of up to 3kW power. The thesis deals with current products’ imperfections like plain shapes and/or insufficient display and controls ergonomy. Furthermore, the resulting design is enhanced with SD card data recording functionality and fulfils functional and engineering requirements, as well.
A frequency inverter based on Texas Instruments DSP
Vašíček, Adam ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Valach, Soběslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on control algorithms optimization, especially using the Texas Instruments c2000 digital signal controllers family. The first part roughly describes an AC induction motor controlling and regulation techniques. Later on the control software optimization basics are covered. Particular attention is payed for trigonometric functions which are mandatory for such software. Next part shows practical use of the previously described optimization techniques using an example of the scalar frequency inverter control even going down to the assembly instructions level. At the end the results themselves as well as facing the invested price of optimization are discussed.
Control of power inverter with active rectifier
Klusáček, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Rubeš, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design of control algorithm and control electronics for frequency converter designed for operation control of induction generator in small hydro power plant. The thesis consists of basic description of scalar control of induction machines by method of constant magnetic flux, suitable control electronics overview, user and integrated development environment overview and detailed description of user code. Validation of functionality of the user code by measurement with induction machine is also included.
Efficiency map of drive with asynchronous machine
Hojný, Ondřej ; Hadraba, Petr (referee) ; Pruša, Radomír (advisor)
This bachelors thesis analyses reasons behind power losses in induction motors and frequency convertors. In addition, its goal is the making of interpolation methods and their comparison. These methods are implemented on efficiency map of an induction motor powered by frequency convertor.
Approximate determination of the load on the vertical elevator
Šindelek, Milan ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "Approximate determination of the weight load on the vertical elevator" is concerned with detecting the mass of material in the container storage tower LogiMat. In Chapter Weight container using strain gages described method to determine the weight by using strain gages and their placement in the draft Logimatu. There is also addressed the possibility of using measurements actual size of current asynchronous motor to drive the elevator. In the chapter Editing Software PLC is described library VahaLib that calculates the load from the measured variables on the elevator motor.
Tesla Bladeless Turbine
Lokaj, Jakub ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes design of bladeless machine known as a Tesla turbine. The work is divided into theoretical part, practical part involving the design and experimental measurements of made bladeless turbine and a final assessment of thesis. The theoretical part deals with the basic design features of bladeless machines and their design modifications and flow in the nozzles. Furthermore there is a dedicated part of the dynamics of working fluid in the rotor of bladeless turbine represented by CFD modeling. The practical part includes the design and construction of parts of the turbine on a preliminary calculation using an analytical model of the flow in the turbine. The designed turbine components were checked for operational safety with structural calculations of shaft and disk impeller. The thesis was also performed experimental measuring of parameters of designed bladeless turbine. Measured values were compared with the analytical model which predicted turbine efficiency. In conclusion, besides to assessment, thesis also outlines possible proposals for further improvements of constructed bladeless turbine.
