U.S. Foreign trade

This paper contains analysis about US international trade and its process over last 20 years, and so from 1990 to 2010, divided to three different chapters. First chapter's purpose is to analyze and summarize US international trade, all main foreign and domestic political and economical events, which may have affected interantional trade. Second chapter holds forth US international trade from territorial and commoditional point of view and interprets statistical data related to it. Third and last chapter analyses US participation in regional integrations, namely CUSFTA and NAFTA.
Expansion of a Foreign Product to the Czech Market

The objective of the diploma thesis is to analyse options and potential of chosen product (brown Caribbean rum brand Santa Teresa - Gran Reserva) from the point of view of expansion to the Czech market, to the Czech retail network. The theoretical part describes the possible reasons of expansion,forms of a company entrance to the foreign market and the criteria of decision making of the company about expansion. In the practical part I deal with the company as such, its product, the Czech market, the options of expansion to this market and its retail network are evaluated there. In conclusion the proper quantitative and qualitative research is made and on its basis a recommendation about following strategy of the firm is placed.
The analysis of provision efficiency of FDI in automotive industry

In the introductory part of this work there are mentioned the basic theoretical data of direct foreign investments and their cocrete method of realization in the Czech republic. Below the possible positive and negative effects connected with FDI influx are described. In this work it is considered whether FDI are really joint with new technology transfer, economy revival and unemployment reduction or whether the negatives, such as an inefficient allocation of state resources through investment incentives, dual economy hazard or risk of artificial maintenance of unstable industries prevail. The next part of this essay is engaged in the agency Czechinvest, with the connected question of the investment incentives support and factor assessment which might influence a potential investor. The introduction of the analytical part is orientated on present development analysis of FDI in automobile industry in the CR which has noted large expansion recently. The object of this part is to deduce or eliminate dependence on economy power and the number of the unemployed on foreign direct investment influx, based on the data of FDI development, unemployment development and other macroeconomical indicators. During the analysis I will pay my attention mainly to the Central Bohemian Region, in which two main investors (TPCA Czech s.r.o. a Skoda Auto a.s.)reside. The conclusive result of this analysis will be the complete evaluation of the importance of foreign direct investment in automobile industry.
