Medová, D. Food stocks of Czech households. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel Univer-sity in Brno, 2023. The diploma thesis deals with the characteristics of consumer behaviour re-lated to purchases of food for storage in Czech households. The thesis identifies the food that Czech households buy for storage, where consumers store it, their motivation to stockpile food and factors that influence the size of food stocks. In addition, the amount of consumption and expenses of Czech households for food, the amount of food waste and the most common reasons for throwing away food are listed here too. The characteristic was created using processed primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire survey (n = 319) and structured interviews (n = 20). Based on the results of this research, recommendations are proposed for traders and consumers that will lead to a re-duction in food waste.

The diploma thesis focuses on the impacts of sustainable food production on the final consumer. The aim is to identify the consumer's behaviour in the purchase of sustainable food and find out the factors and motives that influence them. To fulfil the aim, an analysis of the sustainable food production market was carried out. It revealed an improving tendency in the increase of ecological agriculture and the approach of producers. A questionnaire survey was conducted to identify consumer's behaviour and their motives. The survey revealed that despite a positive approach to sustainability, price is the deciding factor for most consumers. Based on the results, recommendations were proposed for producers and consumers.

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of Czech authorial creation of fashion and fashion accessories. The goal of the thesis is to propose possible marketing recommendations for Czech creators. The data needed to analyse consumer be-havior and the situation on the Czech authorial creation´s market were collected by using questionnaire surveys. The first – aimed at consumers (n=134), the sec-ond – aimed at creators (n=12). The obtained data were subjected to appropriate statistical tests, which carried out with the help of the statistical software Statisti-ca. Based on the analysis, appropriate recommendations were proposed. This mainly concerned the creator´s activity on social sites, which were found to be the most essential in the promotion of the creator and his products.

The creation of plans exactly corresponds to the specific situation of the subject. It is based on an analysis of the current situation of the subject. It complements the current data with expected trends. The research part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey focused on consumer behavior. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theo-retical part, methodology and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of lit-erature research, the methodology describes the methods used and the practical part deals with the specific situation of the business entity. At the end of the bach-elor thesis, there are tips for improving the current situation.

Žemličková, I. Consumer perception of private labels. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. The diploma thesis discusses how private labels are perceived by consumers. It focuses on consumer behavior in the private label food market, more specifically it examines the factors that motivate customers to buy. In the thesis, the reader will get acquainted with the basic terms and a summary of what has been researched on this problem so far. Subsequently, the consumer's view of private labels is investigated using a questionnaire survey. The results show that there is a change in their perception, as private labels are considered to be of higher quality than before. Consumers are also relatively aware of the presence of private brands in the store, which are associated with a low price. The results serve to determine recommendations for retailers to increase awareness of private labels.

This thesis examines the impact of sustainable food production on consumer behaviour. In order to achieve the aim of the thesis, an analysis of organic farming in the EU and the Czech Republic, an analysis of the organic food market in the Czech Republic and an assessment of the willingness to pay a higher price for or-ganic food were carried out. A questionnaire survey was also conducted among consumers to determine their opinion on organic products and their purchasing behaviour towards these products. As a result of the thesis, it was determined which factors influence consumers' purchasing behaviour towards organic products and which factors are barriers to the purchase of organic products. Recommendations for consumers and producers involved in the production and sale of organic food were also formulated.

Rousová, K. Is Deposit-refund system of PET bottles better way of waste sorting? Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of deposit-refund system of PET bottles on Czech consumers and other subjects. In this thesis there are models, that describe the role of deposit in decision-making process of Czech consumer. The method of indifference analysis is used to make economic models. Empiric part of the thesis is divided in two parts. The first part analyses decision-making process of the average Czech consumer in an environment, where deposit-refund system of PET bottles is introduced. In the second part, the general pattern of the decision-making process introduced in the first part is applied to specific consumers in different conditions that also influence the decision-making process, and differences in decision-making of each consumer are observed. Other aspects related to this topic, such as the impact that the introduction of deposit-refund system of PET bottles will have on manufacturers of beverages, retailers, or already existing sorting system, are discussed as well. In conclusion, there are summarised all findings and possible further use of this work.

Barančicová, T. Consumer behaviour on the private label market. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. The diploma thesis is dealing with consumer behaviour on the private label market. It also focuses on consumer behaviour on the private label food market in the online environment. The goal of the thesis is to identify factors influencing behaviour on the private label market based on the results of the author's own survey and to divide consumers into individual segments with the help of a clus-ter analysis. Two segments resulted in this thesis are conservative consumers and 21st century consumers. Finally the series of recommendations for the supply side of the market is presented. Recommendations include a blind test, a focus on quality, events with free shipping or benefits when paying by card.

In its regular survey the Public Opinion Research Centre at the Institute of Sociology, Czech Academy of Sciences, examined the Czech public’s attitudes and opinions on the issue of food waste. More than a half (52%) of the respondents consider food waste to be a big problem, more than two-fifths (42%) think food waste is not right, but there are more urgent problems that need to be solved and only twentieth (5%) of the Czech public does not consider food waste to be a big problem in society.\n\nThe most important reason for reducing food waste according to respondents is to save money for their household (75%), while the least important reason is to change society through their behavior (34%).\nThe majority (55%) of respondents go shopping several times a week, while a quarter (25%) go shopping once a week. 14% of respondents shop every day.
