TACtical Intelligence: Disrupting the Terrorist Attack Cycle by Analysing Terrorists' Intelligence Operations Keywords: terrorism, intelligence, confidence, intelligence competition, violent non-state actors Abstract: Commensurate with prevailing Realist influence in military and security studies,the majority of academic literature on topics of intelligence are from state-centric perspectives, failing to sufficiently address other actors who are taking on greater and more salient roles on the international security stage. In particular, the use of intelligence by violent non-state actors is a premature subject matter in the academic discourse, as literature at the intersection of the two disciplines tends to evaluate the ways in which state intelligence succeeds or fails with regards to, or acts upon violent non-state actors. Rarely are violent non-state actors perceived of as intelligence actors of their own respect. Nevertheless, an intelligence competition persists between the rivals. Confidence in some institutions - July 2020

In July 2020 within the regular survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre (CVVM) questioned respondents about their confidence in some institutions including the Ombudsman, the Constitutional Court, and the Supreme Audit Office. Trust prevails over distrust in case of all monitored institutions. 57% of Czechs trusted the Constitutional Court, 55% trusted the Supreme Audit Office and 53% trusted the Ombudsman. Compared to the last comparable survey in December 2019, confidence in the monitored institutions has not changed significantly.

In September 2020 within the regular survey the Public Opinion Research Centre questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils. 46% of Czechs trust the president, 43% trust the government. The Chamber of Deputies has the confidence of 36% and the Senate of 35% of the public. 21% of Czech citizens declare satisfaction with political situation, 44% are dissatisfied.

In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils. 43% of Czechs trust the president, 41% trust the government. The Chamber of Deputies has the confidence of 32% and the Senate of 36% of the public. 18% of Czech citizens declare satisfaction with political situation, 43% are dissatisfied.

Popularity of Top Politicians - June 2020

In June 2020 the Public Opinion Researcch Centre investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 29 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of government, president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, chairmen of parliamentary clubs of political parties in the Chamber of Deputies, chairman of Constitutional Court, governor of the Czech National Bank, and ombudsman.
