Accumulator Charger with Microcontroller
Losenický, Roman ; Punčochář, Josef (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
My master thesis is focused on intorducing, analysing and describing the microprocessor controlled charger. The thesis is firstly describing and analysing the topic of accumulator cell charging for common technologies. Than there is detailed description of specific accumulator cell types (NiMH, NiCd and Li-ion) which is the microprocessor controled charger intend for. The next part of this thesis is showing the proposal of the charger. There is the block diagram, charger detailed schematics based on this block diagram. There is also list of the possible useful componets neccessary for charger assembling. All this is used for the final proposal of the chager itself. The main scope of this thesis is than the charger's microcontroler firmware decribed at the end of this thesis. Finaly confirmation of the charger proper proposal and assembly is the battery charging with the given basic parameters.
A study of electric vehicle recharging
Solař, Adam ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The subject of this thesis on the topic of the study of the electric vehicle charging. The aim was to draw up a research study on the history of the electric vehicles, the options of their charging and to assess the availability of the charging points in our country and abroad. Additionally, this study provides overview of the electric vehicles available on the market and the types of charging devices and charging options. In conclusion, a large number of the ways and charging types were discovered. Furthermore, we calculated the approximate charging time with regard to the type of charging device and convenience of the charging points. This work also mentions some disadvantages of the electric vehicles, such us the long charging time, charges for the fast charging station use or currently high retail prices of these cars. Despite the prevailing drawbacks, the electric cars are becoming more visible on the roads.
Charger for small accumulators
Dvořák, Pavel ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
Work will address the characteristics of small batteries. They are described types of charging process, charging time and charging currents, depending on their effectiveness. Great attention will be directed to draft Chargers, working in the area of continuous or discontinuous modes. Furthermore, the calculation of individual components and their influence on the running drive. The charger will be simulated by PSpice program and powered photovoltaic. Work will focus on the maximum efficiency when the incident light intensity. With related setting maximum efficiency and maximum power tracking using microprocessor-controlled detention. The charger will detect the input voltage, battery voltage and current. Depending on these values will be changed duty cycle PWM.
Charging station NiMh battery packs
Pochylý, Vít ; Otáhal, Alexandr (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with the characteristics of rechargeable accumulator batteries and their charging and on the basis of this obtained information to design a charger of larger number of batteries. The design and later construction of the charger will be designed for 6 battery packs, which consist of six NiHM rechargeable cells. This means that the charger will be able to charge 36 of these cells. The main advantage will be the control of the charger using a microcontroller, which will allow the appropriate selection of the charging cycle, display of information and control by buttons.
Miniature charger for a battery pack Li-ion 14,4V/2Ah
Bartoš, Miroslav ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis describes the design chargers for lithium-ion batteries. The proposal includes the selection of suitable converter topologies, design power, control and excitation components and a design of high frequency transformer. In the next part the thesis deals with the BMS, which stands for battery management system. The last part deals with the production of the proposed switching source and BMS. The project documentation for the production of a charger is also provided.
Construction of portable charger for mobile phone
Stejskal, Lukáš ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vondruš, Jiří (advisor)
In this thesis suggest the involvement of appropriate driver for mobile phone travel charger. The work is a treatise on the available accumulators, which can be used as a source for the proposed power converter.
Functional blocks for the development of autonomous photovoltaic system
Ovesný, Karel ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The project considers realization system, which will allow us to test six different operation modes on lifetime accumulators. The system will link to computer, which will execute measurement current and tension and switch betwencharging and discharging modes. The measured values will record in someone time intervals in to computer memory. After someone time will analise these measured valuer and will provide optional operation mode.
Up-to-date Methods of Charging Processes
Górnisiewicz, Tomáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with up-to-date methods of charging processes used in combustion engines of contemporary cars. Major emphasis is put on turbocharged petrol engines. Principles of charging process are explained as well as the most common and extraordinary ways of charging process. Following chapter contains summary of present-day turbocharged and supercharged engines. Final part describes turbocharger failures. Turbo-charging represents an elementary way to increase engine power and allows designing high efficient engines of small dimensions.
Design of charger with balancer
Paták, Michal ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
This semestral project deals with battery charging. The project describes qualities and possibilities of lithium and lead-acid battery charging. The charger is independent on the input voltage and should considerately recharge the batteries. Due to considerate recharging process to measure the voltage at various articles of the battery is needed and then balance this voltage. Since the charger is to be implemented in a robot, it is needed to switch the operation from an external source and the battery. The first part of the project deals with qualities of batteries and the way of their recharging. In the second part I design a charger block. In the third part I design the individual blocks charger and in the last part I design a software for changer.
