Microstructure stability of electron beam welds
Rončák, Ján ; Havlík, Petr (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is an evaluation of microstructure and functionality of welded joints by using methods of material engineering. At first, there are various methods of welding described in the theoretical part. In the second part, the thesis introduces every material that is used to create a welded joint. The final part then offers an explanation of every method used to analyse the process of welding. The joints were created on two specimens without any filler material and at the machine that uses electron beam. The first joint is a combination of austenitic hadfield steel with ferrite-perlite carbon steel and in the second case combined with stainless ferritic steel with high amount of chromium.
Lifetime Prediction of the Welded Ribbed Generator Shaft
Ryšánek, Michal ; Pokorný, Pavel (referee) ; Majer, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master thesis deals primarily with the prediction of fatigue life of welded ribbed shaft. Recommendations taken from the International Institute of Welding (IIW) are used to express the stress values and the fatigue life. The stress values of examined place are expressed by approach of nominal stress, structural hot spot stress and effective notch stress. Results from stress-strain analysis are combined together with fatigue strength curves for prediction of the fatigue life. At the end of the analysis, the predicted fatigue life is compared with design life of welded ribbed shaft.
Bridge crossing over Svitava river and railway track in Blansko
Smělíková, Petra ; Konečný, Vojtěch (referee) ; Křižan, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of the Diploma Thesis is elaboration of study of bridge crossing over the Svitava river and ČD railway track in Blansko. It concerns a five-pole steel beam road bridge with through-span which carries road of the third category. The static system of the construction is solved as solid-web beam of 1.3 meters height which is in three middle spans reinforced by truss construction with top chord and system of diagonals without verticals. The height of the main beam where reinforced by trusswork is 4.75 meters. The width of spans in the road axis is 18.5 + 30.525 + 44.4 + 30.525 + 18,5 metres. The bridge deck consists of steel cross beams bonded with reinforced concrete slab of 200 millimeters of thickness. The drive-through width of the roadway is 7.0 meters. The bridge is fitted with right-sided walkway placed on steel cantilevers. The walk-through width of the walkway is 3.0 meters. Material used is S355 Steel, C30/37 Concrete and S460 Steel which is used for marginal spans of the bridge. Load-bearing construction is assessed in compliance with current technical requirements laid down by European Directives, so called “Eurocodes”. The calculation of inner powers is performed using the Scia Engineer 2013.1 software.
Non-destructive methods of control of welded joints
Černický, Martin ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Dohnal, Ivo (advisor)
The thesis elaborated in frame of bachelor studies branch mechanical engineering. The thesis is submitting research of present methods of non-destructive control of welded joints. Pursuant to of the literary pursuit the present methods of control of welded joints were written. First it mentioned problematics of defect of welded joints. After it is mentioned a summary of principles and application of methods of non-destructive control of welded joints.
Electron beam welding of parts made from aluminium alloy
Jirák, David ; Jakoubek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
The topic of this thesis was ordered by Valeo Compressor Humpolec Itd (further referred to as Valeo). It deals with the electron welding of a component made of an aluminium alloy, a piston specifically, which is made for an automobile air-conditioning compressor. The aim of this thesis was to analyze and suggest a way of increasing porosity of the welded area. The data needed for the analysis and the present state of the welded area was provided by Valeo.
Modelling of the carbon diffusion coefficients temperature dependence in the welded joint of steels
Řeháčková, L. ; Dobrovská, J. ; Million, Bořivoj ; Stránský, K.
This contribution contains the results of measurement of carbon redistribution ithe welded joint of low-alloy CrNiMoV steel and low-alloy Si steel. The measurements was carried out in the range of temperatures 500-1000°C. On the basis of the measured concentration data the carbon diffusion coefficients were calculated and also their temperature dependences were determined
