An overview of the literature on the athletic discipline run to 400 m (overview and evaluation)

Thema works: Overview of the literature about the athletic discipline 400 m run (overview and evaluation) Student: Zuzana Krupičková Supervisor: odb.as. Aleš Kaplan Aims: With a help of amassing and processing the chosen special literature sources to make an overview of the literature regarding the problematics of sport preparation for the 400m run Methodology: For the overview study a method of analysis of amassed literature sources and then the method of the literatuŕe recherche with the topic of sport preparation for the 400m run was used. Results: We found that nine authors of Theses of Trenérská škola UK FTVS, further four authors of bachelor thesis and thirty four authors of diploma thesis were dealing with the problematics of a 400 m run. There were also four authors studying at other schools, whose work was dealing with this problematics and was available. We also found out that many of theses were created by our elite athletes like rousil, Hegyes, David, Kratochvílová, Fuchsová, Kocembová nebo Tylová. Athletics in physical education from the perspective of grammar school students

Title: Athletics in physical education from the perspective of grammar school students Aim: The aim of this thesis is to determine how grammar school students in selected regions view athletics in physical education classes and their relationship to the sport as a whole and its individual disciplines. Methods: The thesis is based on the quantitative research conducted among grammar school students of third and fourth grades in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analysed in Microsoft Excel and SPSS programs. Basic descriptive characteristics were identified and then processed into tables and charts. Results were verified in a manner based on the nature of the variables, using either the Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney non-parametric test or Spearman rank correlation coefficient. Tests were conducted at 5%, resp. 1% level of significance. Results: Athletics are perceived as negative by 40.1 % of responding students - with girls prevailing over boys in this group. The perception of athletics is mostly influenced by teachers of physical education, but also depends on the level of physical activity. Title The use of methods FMS on athletes of category U16 - U19 Objectives: This thesis aims to point on the possibilities of a new method based on physio-therapeutic principles of physical preparation and training primarily of young athletes, named Functional movement screening (FMS), invented by Gray Cook. Most in particular the thesis is focused on what FMS method is and what possibilities are given to identify fundamental movement patterns of junior and teenager athletes. Short examination of the methods FMS was based on two tests invented by Gray Cook and evaluated on a group of ten athletes of category U16 - U19. Methods: The thesis comes out from two crucial works published by Gray Cook. Subsequently I resumed results found out in foreign articles and studies about methods FMS, its principles, relationship with athletic performance and prevention of injuries, as well as relevant norming data. My attention was devoted to studies focused on implementing FMS testing of young athletes. Therefore I decided to select two particular tests and conduct short testing on athletes of category U16 - U19. Name: Basic training of the future track and field competitors Target of this work is analysis performance development of tested group of children and young athletes after experience basic athletic preparation lasting one year. Another target was finding out a difference of size performance growth between boys and girls in each class. Testing was applicae on a group of athletes in age 12 - 15, 6.-9. class. Tested children went through enter measuring, following kontroll measuring and finally measuring. They took a part in many competetions, which results I recorded and made conclusion. The enter measuring was made in september 2013, finally measuring one year later in september 2014.. All results was calculated, compared and evaluated. In my work I explored importance of performance increase about boys and girls in each classes after one year.. I compared also a differences in development of children with different weekly training frequency. Aleš Kaplan Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study the issue of possibilities of kinesiology evaluation for understanding long jump in track and field with the help of literature review and get to know the possibility of complete kinesiology evaluation of long jump. Methodology: This thesis is focused on studying possibilities of kinesiology evaluation of long jump in track and field with the help of literature review of selected scientific literature concerning human motion system, general kinesiology, and special kinesiology of lower limbs, biomechanics, characteristics and technique of long jump and special kinesiology concerning this track and field event. Due to exploring chosen topic from various points of view (general kinesiology, anatomy of human motion system, biomechanics) I been trying to understand special kinesiology of long jump. Results: In this bachelor thesis I have reviewed 28 sources of Czech and 49 sources of foreign literature listed in the reference list, so 37 of those sources were online and 40 were books. Adéla Markvartová Title: The views of the runners on the middle and long distance to regeneration in the sport Objectives: The aim of diploma thesis is to detect views of runners on the middle and long distance to regeneration in the sport in terms of their use due to gender and to specialization of runners. Methods: Diploma thesis is divided to two parts - theoretical and practical. Theoretical part is about regeneration in sport and the practical part talks about opinions of of runners on the middle and long distance to regeneration in the sport. Compares each methods of regeneration due to gender and to specialization of runners. It was used nonstandard questionnaire, during championship of the Czech republic in athletics (from 18th to 19th June) in Tábor. Number of 110 runners on the middle and long distance were interviewed. Questionnaire was filled by 91 athletes, 46 men ad 45 women. Results: Research showed that runners realize importance of regeneration in training process. Men are more confident about positive influence of regeneration in performance and also in injury prevention. Performance development in decathlon

Title: Individual evolutions of performance in decathlon Objectives: The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the dynamic and the evolution of performance six selected decathletes. We assessed few young decathletes, which competed in nonathlon because of their age, and the rest of the decathletes in decathlon during their athletic careers. Methods: This thesis occupies with qualitative research. Based on the analysis of selected documents we used the method of prediction and comparison. The main aim was to study athletic results of all selected decathletes. All of the performances were scored by IAAF scoring tables for combined events. We chose a few decathletes of different ages, the age range of our selected decathletes varies from 18 to 27 years old. Results: We found out that the biggest increase performance of decathlon results were when all our selected decathletes were beginning of their athletic careers. The only exception is Marek Lukáš, he did not achieved an increase until later. When they were adults, their increase slowed down. Another objective was the possibility of comparing the obtained results by gender and regional representation by means of a questionnaire survey. Methodology: to meet the aims of this work were used method of questioning when n = 160 track and field athletes of different gender and selected countries around the world completed standard questionnaire on the web portal google. In the evaluation of the results I focused on two major areas - lifestyle athletes and their view on recovery and used recovery methods. Results: work is divided into a theoretical part dealing with the analysis of the basic concepts and contexts topic work, and the practical part. The theoretical part of the paper draws on the available scientific literature related to the topic of work. Next second part is the practical part, where the results of the survey were presented. Title: Athletics in physical education lessons of grammar schools and its comparison with the situation abroad Aims: The aim of this thesis is to research the teaching of athletics at grammar schools of chosen Czech regions and thereby provide an overview of athletics teaching extent; disciplines selected by teachers and practised by students during physical education; whether the schools or the teachers are limited by material, spatial or other factors; what is the character of the lessons with athletic content and whether it is influenced by the attitude of the teacher to the relevant sport, i.e. his or her sports orientation. Another partial aim is the comparison of researched situation in the Czech Republic with the neighbouring countries of Germany and Austria. Methods: The thesis is based on the method of questionnaire interviews among teachers of physical education at grammar schools in chosen Czech regions and abroad. The questionnaires were spread through information and communication technologies and consequently analysed by Microsoft Excel. The results were compared with the situation abroad.
