Sekanina, Jiří ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kokolia, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the design of waveguide slot antenna for the 10,5 GHz frequency integrated in the textile substrate. The first part contains a general theory of transmission lines. The second part describes the design of a waveguide slot antenna. The third part contains procedures for designing a SIW slot antenna and the fourth part describes the design of 3x2 antenna array that is integrated into 3,4 mm thick textile with relative permittivity r = 1,2 with greater main lobe width requirements and side lobe suppression. The last part summarizes the results.
Textile SIW Rectangular Ring-slot Antennas for Off-body Communication
Vašina, Petr
In this paper, a textile SIW rectangular ring-slot antenna for the ISM frequency band 5.8 GHz is proposed. The antenna radiates a linearly polarized wave with the maximum radiation in the perpendicular direction to the antenna plane. The antenna is fabricated on the soft-shell fabric in the two versions. In the first version, the conductive layers were fabricated by a self-adhesive copper foil. In the second version, the conductive layers were fabricated by the screen printing on a foil ironed on the soft-shell fabric. Experimental results prove that the proposed antenna fabricated by copper foil achieves the impedance bandwidth of 3.1 % for the reflection coefficient less than -10 dB and the gain of 6.91 dBi. While screen printing antenna achieves the impedance bandwidth of 2.93 % for the reflection coefficient less than -10 dB and the gain of 7 dBi, respectively.
Linearly Polarized HMSIW U-slot Antenna for Off-body Communication
Hubka, Patrik
In this paper, a linearly polarized U-slot half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) antenna for off-body communication is presented. It is based on a combination of a U– shaped slot etched in the HMSIW top wall and two shorts placed in this slot. The antenna operates at 5.8 GHz. In order to verify performance of the proposed antenna placed in the proximity of a human body, a three-layer phantom of the human body – a chest model – is used. The antenna placed in proximity of the phantom of the human body achieves simulated impedance bandwidth of 2.02 % and the gain of 7.23 dBi.
Increase of operation frequency of printed antennas
Havlík, Vojtěch ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the design of a slot antenna integrated into a textile substrate. In the thesis, antennas operating at the frequency 5.8 GHz and 24.125 GHz (ISM bands) were designed. Functionality of the antennas was verified by simulation performed in the program CST Microwave Studio. The antennas consist of a textile integrated waveguide and a coplanar waveguide which adapts the waveguide characteristic impedance to 50 of the input coaxial connector. As a substrate, we used a 3D textile material.
Linearly polarized slot antenna in proximity of human body
Hermány, Roman ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hubka, Patrik (advisor)
In this bacherol thesis, a linearly polarized slot antenna in proximity of human body is proposed. The core of the work is a theme of U-type slot antenna, which is created on the half-mode substrate integrated waveguide. This structure is designed at the 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi band. Simulation and measurement prove that the proposed antenna radiates electromagnetic wave perpendicular to the antenna plane with linear horizontal polarization. Simulated and measured gain of the antenna is 6.51 and 6.52 dBi, respectively. Simulated and measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 1.9 %. The minimum of measured reflection coefficient is slightly shifted by10 MHz to the lower frequencies due to the manufacture tolerance. The antenna placed in proximity of the phantom of the human body achieves very good radiation performance.
SIW slot antenna
Martinec, Matěj ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design of waveguide slot array antenna and SIW slot antenna with coaxial and microstrip feed operating in 5,6 GHz frequency in Wi-Fi frequency band of IEEE 802.11ac standard. For design of these antennas were used calsic methods and each of this parts were optimised in CST Microwave Studio. In this programme were optimised parameters of each part to occupy widest bandwidth of antenna, which was in conflict with the proper function of antenna. All antennas were compare between each other in light of selected parameters and suitable antenna has been chosen.
Antenna for microwave beacon on X-band
Zamazal, Bořivoj ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes an antenna design for microwave beacon in 10 GHz band. In the first section of the work, the possible solutions are presented and a slot antenna, constructed from commercially available waveguide, is chosen. In the second section, the principle of this antenna is described and the dimensions for the chosen frequency and the type of waveguide are calculated. In the third section, the antenna model is built and simulated in the Ansof HFSS environment in accordance with theoretically calculated dimensions and, based on these simulations, two possible versions of antenna are created.

Špůrek, Jan ; Polívka,, Milan (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design of various antenna structures, based on slot antennas, created in the wider wall of a rectangular-shaped waveguide. As the substrate, it is used a 3D textile material, while its properties are examined. They were designed structures, that operate with linear and circular polarization, and other related structures, that are used for feeding and power division. Structures are designed to operate at central frequency of 8 GHz and its vicinity.
HMSIW linearly polarized slot antenna array
Horák, Lukáš ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Hubka, Patrik (advisor)
In this work is proposed a HMSIW linearly polarized slot antenna arrays. The first antenna array is composed of four U-shape slots and the second antenna array is composed of four U-shape slots with three patches placed near the magnetic wall of HMSIW. The patches improve radiating parametrs of the proposed antenna array. The proposed antenna arrays are manufactured a measured.
