Biological data averaging
Mlčoch, Marek ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the biological data averaging applied to a periodical and repetitive signal, specifically to an ECG signals. There were used signals from MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database and ÚBMI database. Averaging was realized with constant, floating and exponential Windows, where was used the method of addition of the filtered residue. This method is intended to capture the slow variations from the input to the output signal. The outcomes of these methods can be used as a basis for further work, or function as an example of principled methods. Methods and its outcomes were created in Matlab.
ECG signal filtering in the wavelet domain
Zedníček, Vlastimil ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is introduction with the method of filtering the signal using wavelet transform. Our task was to use a redundant wavelet transform for filtering ECG signals. First we met with wavelet filtering. In the practical part, we implemented a filter based on redundant DTWT in Matlab. The results were evaluated based on the achieved signal / noise ratio. The proposed filter, we tested the CSE database, and we tried to optimize the filter parameters and the degree of decomposition of wavelet transform, the bank decomposition and reconstruction filters, thresholding methods and threshold setting. The results were evaluated based on the achieved signal / noise ratio. as a last resort, we compared the results obtained with the results of different filtering methods
Evaluation of listening tests for subjective assessment of audio quality
Kovařík, Tomáš ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Rášo, Ondřej (advisor)
The point of this thesis was to perform listening tests. Appropriate methods of performance were selected for these tests, tests were carried out and the data were analyzed using statistical analysis. Then was compiled the resulting interval scale from results of the first test and in the second listening test were determined average values SNR for background noises.
Wavelet Wiener filter of ECG signals
Sedláčková, Eva ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is introduction with method of filtering the ECG signals using wavelet transformation and use of this method for filtering of signal disturbed with myopotencials. The work deals with general properties and with genesis of ECG signals and describes ECG curve. Next part of work is focused on wavelet transformation, types of wavelet transformation and different methods calculation thresholds and thresholding. Design part of work is focused on design Wiener filter for remove myopotencials from ECG signals and finding optimal parameters of this filter using optimization algorithm. For optimization is used simplex method. Discovered optimal parameters are assessed on CSE and MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database and compared with results of other authors.
Wavelet filtering of ECG Signals
Ryšánek, Jan ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities of filtering the ECG signal, representing the first part, which is the basis for successful delineation and follow diagnosis of the ECG signal. Filtration in this case is mean to suppress interference from electrical grid, noise of electrical grid. The content of the work is description of filters realized trough wavelet transform and linear filtering as a means to successful filtration of interference. There are method of stationary wavelet transform - dyadic wavelet transform, wavelet packet transform and wavelet wiener filtering method. Linear filtering includes two narrow-band FIR filters. The objective of this work is to propose different methods of wavelet and linear filters in Matlab, filtering of ECG signals and compare the success of filtration methods. ECG signals used in this work are from the CSE database.
Optimization of MR acquisition parameters for the measurement of small objects
Pecháček, Libor ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
The subject of my thesis is a design of the methods optimizing, the acquisition of MR signals when small objects measure. The thesis is divided into several parts in order to give a deeper knowledge of the problem. The first part focuses on the theory associated with NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and SNR (signal-to-noise ratio). The practical verification of the theory follows. The conclusion of this work is focused on MR images filtering by use of wavelet transform to suppress a noise in the image. The method optimization of MR acquisition parameters for the measurement of small objects is then distributed to the entire work.
Modelling of Mechanisms for Multiple Access to Mobile Network
Tinka, Zdeněk ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis „Mechanisms modelling of multi access into mobile wireless network“ is focusing the wireless network. The diploma thesis contains basic network topology of wireless standard 802.11g and utilizes key identificators of mobile node in dependency on the distance and collision controlling function for simulation purposes. In the next part of this thesis is created LTE mobile network topology, which serves for finding key identificators. In the last part is created offload topology containing both - 802.11g and LTE network. As the result are implemented offloading algorithms, which ensure data traffic switching based on comparing 802.11g and LTE key identificators. Automatically generated and shown figures providing the key statistics are the main output of this thesis.
Removing methods of power line interference in ECG signals
Herodes, Jakub ; Janů, Joshua (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis is comparing efficiency of digital linear and nonlinear filtration used for removing power line interference from ECG signals. For testing was used database of CSE, containing 3750 ECG signals. After adding simulated power line interference into the clear ECG signal come comparing the efficiency of filters by average output signal to noise ratio.
ECG quality estimation
Pospíšil, Jan ; Smíšek, Radovan (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the question of estimation of the quality of the ECG signals, which is a key parameter for determining the diagnosis. The theoretical part deals with the basic knowledge concerning cardiac physiology, electrocardiography and finally the types of interferences that can occur during the measurement. The following practical part will deal with the published methods and the proposal of methods for estimating signal quality and their testing on artificial and real data.
Subjective evaluation of background noise in audio systems
Falešník, Vlastimil ; Mach, Václav (referee) ; Rášo, Ondřej (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, the effect of additive background noise on audio recordings was researched. This kind of noise often occurs when these recordings are being restored. The most frequent effort is to suppress these unwanted noises. While suppressing the noises, the most problematic part is that it always depends on subjective evaluation of the listener. Practical impacts of these noises were researched throughout two listening tests. Afterwards, it was necessary to choose proper (ordinal) evaluating scale. The listening tests established the subjective assessment of jammed additive noise degree. Finally, the effect of selected parameters on subjective perceived quality was determined.
