Michael Finger, CSc. Abstract: Drell-Yan (DY) process, i.e. a lepton pair production in hadron-hadron interaction, is one of the unique tools to study structure of hadrons. In this thesis we present its theoretical background and its link to description of the nucleon spin structure. The corresponding formalism of the Parton Distribution Functions (PDF) and the Transverse Momentum Dependent Parton Distribution Functions (TMD PDF) is explained in some detail. The fundamental theoretical prediction of a sign change of the T-odd TMDs in the DY and Semi- inclusive DIS (SIDIS) is described. In the following a concise description of the COMPASS apparatus is given with the emphasis on the setup modification needed and implemented for the Drell-Yan measurement performed in 2014 and 2015 with 190 GeV/c2 beam of negative pions and the proton target (polarised in 2015). In the final chapter we present our independent analysis of the DY data taken in 2015. Three azimuthal asymmetries giving access to the different TMD PDF were extracted using the dimuon events from a mass region of 4.3 to 8.5 GeV/c2 . Our results are in agreement...
Study of probe diagnostics of tokamak edge plasma via computer simulation

The aim of the thesis is to examine plasma-wall interaction using computer modeling. Tokamak- relevant plasma conditions are simulated using the particle-in-cell model family SPICE working in three or two dimensions. SPICE model was upgraded with a parallel Poisson equation solver and a heat equation solver module. Plasma simulation aimed at synthetic Langmuir probe measurements were performed. First set considered a flush-mounted probe and the effect of variable magnetic field angle was studied with aim to compare existing probe data evaluation techniques and assess their operational space, in which the plasma parameters estimation via fit to the current-voltage characteristic is accurate. Second simulation set studied a protruding probe pin. Effective collecting area of such probe was investigated with intentions of density measurement collection. This area was found to be influenced by a combination of two factors. First, the density dampening inside the magnetic pre-sheath of the probe head, and the second, the extension of the area caused by Larmor rotation. A comparison with experimental results obtained at COMPASS tokamak was was performed, confirming these results. Study of plasma in tokamak-type devices with spectroscopic methods

In Tokamak department of Institute of Plasma Physics, radiation of high-temperature plasma is investigated using spectroscopic methods in visible, ultraviolet and infrared regions. The radiation gives information regarding tokamak plasma parameters and their changes, which is necessary for future realization of fusion reactor. In the frame of this doctoral thesis the development of spectroscopic diagnostics for observing of plasma radiation and its temporal evolution in COMPASS tokamak was performed. The absolute calibration of developed systems in order to recalculate measured signal to units of radiation was done. The sources of imprecisions of absolute measurements in tokamak conditions are properly discussed in the first part of the dissertation. Plasma radiation in the range 257-1083 nm was measured and interpreted using NIST database and FLYCHK code. Ion density for the most significant impurities was estimated. IDL code for effective ion charge estimation as a ratio of real and hydrogen plasma Bremsstrahlung radiation near 523 nm was developed. Profiles of electron density and temperature measured by Thomson scattering system were used for hydrogen plasma Bremsstrahlung radiation calculations. Mascheroni constructions

This bachelor's thesis concerns with the topic of Mascheroni constructions. These are constructions done with compass alone. The thesis contains three chapters, the first is devoted to a brief summary of the history of Mascheroni constructions. The second chapter presents Mohr-Mascheroni theorem and its proof. The third chapter contains a description of several basic Mascheroni constructions including proofs. Part of this work is also a GeoGebra book - Mascheroni constructions, which is divided into two parts. In the first part, there are stepped solutions for all constructions mentioned in the third chapter. The second part contains interactive exercises for each construction.

Title: Teaching of orienteering at primary school Author: Bc. Zuzana Procházková Department: Department of Physical Education Supervisor: PhDr. PaedDr. Ladislav Kašpar, Ph.D. Objectives: The aim of this diploma work is to chart the teaching of orienteering at primary schools in Prague and to use a questionnaire-based approach to determine whether orienteering is included within the school curriculum and if so, then how. The secondary objective is to draw up a draft of methods for teaching orienteering. Methods: Data collection was performed using a questionnaire-based approach. The questionnaire was evaluated in the graphs and tables. The method for the secondary objective is a detailed study of the literature and results of the questionnaire. Results: Thirty four physical education teachers participated in the research study. Sixteen teachers include orienteering within their teaching curriculum. The frequency of orienteering teaching is mostly 1-3 times a year. A half of the teachers teach orienteering in PE lessons. More than half of the teachers included orienteering as a part of school trips and courses. Most of them use specialised orienteering maps. Anna Martin (Department II) Abstract: The nucleon structure is presently described by Transverse Momentum Depend- ent (TMD) Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs), which generalise the collinear PDFs, adding partonic spin and transverse momentum degrees of freedom. The recent HERMES and COMPASS data on hadron production in deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) of leptons off transversely polarised nucleons have provided a decisive validation of this framework. Nevertheless, the TMD PDFs should be studied in complementary reactions, like pp hard scattering and Drell-Yan pro- cesses. In particular the Sivers TMD PDF, which encodes the correlation between the nucleon transverse spin and quark transverse momentum and appears in the Sivers Transverse Spin Asymmetry (TSA), is expected to have opposite sign in Drell-Yan and SIDIS. Preliminary Measurements of Neutrons From The D-D Reaction in The Compass Tokamak

Recent results of measured fast neutrons created in the D-D reaction on the COMPASS tokamak during ohmic discharges are presented in this paper. Two different type detectors were used during experiment. He-3 detectors and bubble detectors as a support. The measurements are an introduction for neutron diagnostic on tokamak COMPASS and monitoring neutrons during discharges with Neutral Beam Injection (NBI). The He-3 counters and bubble detectors were located in two positions near tokamak vacuum chamber at a distance less than 40 cm to the centre of plasma. The neutrons flux was observed in ohmic discharges. However, analysis of our results does not indicate any clear source of neutrons production during ohmic discharges.
Microwave reflectometry for density profile and turbulence measurements on the COMPASS tokamak.

Microwave reflectometry is an established radar technique to acquire various scientific results in plasma fusion research. Fast electron density profile measurements are crucial for the study of fusion plasmas and the operation of fusion devices. Operation capability and first results of the reflectometry on the COMPASS tokamak are presented in this contribution.
