Investment casting technology - overview of cast materials
Ostratický, Marek ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Soukupová, Lucie (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with investment casting technology and overview of cast materials. In fist section deals with production. From the wax model, applying and curing the shell up to the actual casting and finishing operations. The second part is often drawn up a general overview of cast materials, which includes ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The aim is to develop research describing investment casting method with a general overview of cast materials. A summary of their properties and their use in practice.
Heat treatment of steels
Rosecká, Eva ; Čech, Jan (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the questions of heat treatment of steels. The literature search explains the basic methods and principles of heat treatment of steels, the iron-carbon chart of equilibrium structure and the IRA and ARA charts of non-equilibrium structure. At-tention is also paid to the equipment for heat treatment of steels, and the principal mechanical properties that are used in the evaluation of steels are explained in brief. The experimental section contains the comparison of three creep-resisting steels in term of “as cast” condition, heat treated steel using operation procedures and laboratory-processed at up-per temperatures specified by the standard. These steels are mostly used in power industry at high temperatures. Their structure and mechanical properties were monitored at various phases of castings production. In conclusion, statistical evaluations and the comparison of those three materials are worked out within the scope of fifty heats.
Solution technology of multiple groove guide pulley single-part production.
Říčan, Daniel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
Solution of technologies for multiple groove guide pulley single-part production, which can be applied in the production with regard to a technology of construction, to the kind of the semi-product and to the functionality of components. Selection of instruments and machines for individual operations, composition of a spare posibilities in case of an problem during production so that the production would by most effective.
Design and manufacture of Mjölnir hammer by casting
Bubník, Šimon ; Bořil, Petr (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to design suitable technologies for the production of Thor's hammer casting within the BUT school foundries. The work contains a theoretical part, which summarizes the casting technology itself, focusing on the production of non-permanent molds, cores and molding compounds. Furthermore, the work contains a practical part, which describes the process of casting production from the creation of the model and its printing, the subsequent production of the mold to the finishing of the casting.
Implementation of investment casting technology in the company ZPS Slévárna, a.s.
Slovák, Vojtěch ; Pacola, David (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of introducing Full Mold technology in specific conditions of production in foundry environment. The emphasis is placed on the least possible intervention with to established manufacturing process. The work also aims, through the comparison of the specific test castings, to map the weaknesses of this technology in the company and create possible optimization or complete removal of this weaknesses.

Manufacture of cylinder head casting for engine renovation Jawa 50
Pastyřík, Petr ; Myška, Martin (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
This project elaborats the manufacture of a cylinder head casting for an engine renovation of Jawa 50. Based on the literary pursuit of suitable foundry technologies and using 3D printing in foundry a casting production technology was designed and the cylinder head was made. The part was designed in the CAD software and then printed on a 3D printer. The printed model was formed in ceramic shell form, then melted and the form was annealed. After that the cast was casted. The last operations were fettling and finishing machining.
Production of casting cylinder for engine modification of motorcycle Jawa 50
Chvátal, Pavel ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
Production of casting cylinder for engine modification of motorcycle Jawa 50. This bachelor thesis deals with the design of an air-cooled cylinder for racing modification of the JAWA 50 engine and its subsequent implementation using the rapid prototyping function. The designed part was cast and the finished casting was subjected to analysis.
Segregation during solidification in austenitic-ferritic stainless steels
Kejha, Richard ; Čech, Jan (referee) ; Pernica, Vítězslav (advisor)
The master thesis deals with processes of segregation in austenitic-ferritic stainless steels. The introductory part consists of characteristics features of austenitic-ferritic steels and theoretical analysis of segregation processes. The second part shows practical measurements of segregation in experimental casting. Macrosegregation was measured on a spectrometric analyzer and simultaneously solved in the simulation program MAGMA. The aim of this thesis is to verify the effect of solidification time and dwell time between liquidus and solidus temperature on the chemical heterogeneity of duplex stainless steel casting of about 500 [mm]. Chemical heterogeneity was solved for selected alloying and accompanying elements such as C, Mo, Ni, Mn, Cr. The microsegregation was not addressed. Comparison of the mechanical properties of cast and heat treated duplex steel was done by tensile testing of samples cut from the center of the casting.
Analýza trasologických stop po pneumatikách vozidel
VRBA, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis deals with analysis and identification of tread tracks created by vehicle tire impression. In the theoretical part of this thesis essential criminal procedures for locating, documenting and obtaining tread tracks evidence at the crime scene are described. Existing software solutions for documenting and comparing such tracks are mentioned. The practical part of the thesis presents a proposal for a Python-language application in which are tire cast impressions are compared with tire prints to find possible correspondence.
