The thesis "Evaluation of the financial situation in the firm and proposals to its improvement" deals with the financial evaluation Unistav Company, Inc. Its purpose is to provide recommendations for improving management analyzed the company. In the thesis are used methods of financial analysis. The theoretical part describes some methods of financial analysis, particularly elementary methods. The practical part of the methods I use for the treatment of Unistav financial analysis, and evaluation and management of state companies.

This diploma thesis deals with an evaluation of the financial situation of the company, which focuses on manufacturing rubber products and technical foams. Assessment period is between 2010 - 2014. In the theoretical part the basic indicators, concepts and methods of financial analysis, which are used in the practical part. The practical part contains basic information about the company and the calculations of financial indicators. Based on the evaluation of the financial situation of the company derived from the results of the financial analysis are presented possibilities proposals and recommendations, which should lead to improved management of the company.

The Specifics of Financial Management of Holdings Companies

The main purpose of the thesis is to explore the specifics of the financial management of holdings companies in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on the area of financial management. However, the author assumes that persistent reasons for holding creation is using of synergy effects consisting mainly of centralized management of cash flows to minimize the cost of capital and minimizing the risk of an individual investor who actively makes managerial functions in view guarantees of individual companies. It was found the lack of a comprehensive and systematic approach for a qualitative research. A total of 15 holding companies was use for the qualitative research. The outcome gives many answers concerning the specifics of the financial management of the holdings companies. It seems guarantee and minimizing cost of capital are key points. The synergistic effect of the holding companies can be used when transferring financial means between companies holding. The impact of the transfer of available financial means was simulated for holding No. 13. It was clearly shown to decrease WACC at one of the companies within the holding.

Valuation of a Firm Operating in the Engineering Industry

This diploma thesis is devoted to determining the value of a company operating in engineering. The work is divided into six parts. The first part presents the objectives of the work and processing methods. The next part contains theoretical background. In the third part, the awarded company is subjected to a strategic analysis. The following chapter deals with value generators, which are further supplemented in chapter five, which contains the financial plan. The last chapter presents the final valuation of the company and the change of input parameters.

The thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical and practical part. The first part defines the methods and indicators used in the second part, which contains introduction of the analyzed company, strategic and financial analysis of the company and suggestions for improving its financial position and performance.

Utilization of Cash-flow Analysis for Financial Management of the Construction Company

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to evaluate financial management with emphasis on management of cash-flow with the aid of ratio indicators of the company PaPP, spol. s r.o. in the years 2007 – 2010. The thesis is divided into 2 main parts – theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with development and function of financial management and also financial analysis of selected ratio indicators constructed on base of cash-flow and Kralick Quick-test. On theoretical knowledge continued the practical part, where is introduced the company and aplicated financial analysis with the aid of ratio indicatros. Financial situation and company´s health is evaluated by creditworthy model – Kralick Quick-test.

This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with floatation of the entrepreneurially plan whom the subject is foundation of MS SPORT Ltd. company which will distribute the shop with sporting goods, clothing and servicing of ski and snowboards. My plan contains the suggestions of organization, marketing, financial plan and calculation of the financial analysis. The aim of my work is data evaluation, feasibility and profitability of my plan.

Steam turbine for steam reduction

The dissertation analyses a possibility to install a steam turbine for steam reduction in the heating plant with a combined cycle, Červený Mlýn. In the first part of this work the constituent parts of Červený Mlýn plant are briefly described. Basic information is included about two considered solutions to the steam turbine for steam reduction. Then the thermic diagram of the whole heating plant and the heat exchanger station itself is presented. On the basis of the given values of the heat required in the hydrothermal system, duration of the steam flow through both variants of the steam turbine for steam reduction is determined. The thermodynamic calculation of the steam turbine for steam reduction is aimed at determination of the power output and its comparison with the power outputs of the steam turbines for steam reduction considered. In the economical profitability calculation, basic economical quantities are given for both the solutions and the more suitable solution is recommended.
