3D printed dielectric resonator antenna
Lungu, Masauso ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zechmeister, Jaroslav (advisor)
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a výrobou válcové dielektrické rezonátorové antény pracující na kmitočtové pásmu ISM 5,8GHz. V této práci jsou popsány různé metody buzení antény. V CST Microwave Studio byly navrženy a prozkoumány dva numerické modely válcové dielektrické rezonátorové antény, jeden s koaxiální sondou a druhý se štěrbinovým napajení. Model se štěrbinovým napajení byl poté vyroben technologií 3D tisku a následně byly jeho vlastnosti změřeny a ověřeny simulovanými výsledky.
Circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna
Zechmeister, Jaroslav ; Kufa, Martin (referee) ; Mrnka, Michal (advisor)
This thesis discusses the design circularly polarized dielectric resonator antennas for ISM band 5,8 GHz. In this work are explained and compared different ways of resonator feeding. There are also discussed the possibility of generating a circular polarization from a aperture feeding. Two methods of generating circular polarization in dielectric resonator antennas are simulated in CST Microwave Studio. This methods are C-shaped slot and cross slot. For antenna with cross slot feeding is also simulated effect of the manufacturing process to characteristics proposed antenna. The antenna is made, measured and the results are compared with simulations.
Energy harvesting demonstrator
Kaděra, Petr ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (referee) ; Mrnka, Michal (advisor)
This semestral thesis is focused on radio frequency energy harvesting. The thesis describe parts of network that are essential for conversion of radio frequency energy into DC. It deals with various solutions to the given problem. The aim of the thesis is to design a proper antenna with supplemental circuits for commercial Powercast P2110B receiver which combines the function of a rectifier and a step-up DC/DC converter.
Mutual coupling reduction techniques in microstrip patch phased arrays
Horník, Milan ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the investigation of the mechanisms of the formation of mutual coupling and its suppression between a pair of patches located above the common ground plane. The thesis includes an analysis of mutual coupling formation and a proposal of techniques dealing with its suppression. To analyse the mutual coupling, a pair of patch elements in both polarizations was designed and their mutual coupling was investigated. A suitable variation of the techniques was selected based on a study of the available suppression techniques of mutual coupling. The antenna designed by the selected technique was simulated and later produced. With interest, the suppression technique was used, extended to an 8x1 element array, and the function of a phased antenna array was tested.

Design and implementation of TEM cell
Bednarský, Vojtěch ; Růžek, Václav (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The purpose is to design and make a TEM cell, which may often be referred to in publications as a Crawford chamber, after the inventor. The operating frequency is specified from 100 kHz to 400 MHz and is suitable for a test device of maximum size (0,3(l) x 0,3(w) x 0,1(h)) meters. I will first describe the basic methods of electromagnetic susceptibility testing, and electromagnetic interference measurements, and then mention the issues and motivations for the fabrication of the closed TEM cell. Computer simulations were performed in the numerical computing software CST Microwave Studio. The calculated dimensions were used as a starting point for simulation. Dimensions from the simulation were used for the fabrication of the closed TEM cell, which showed similar results as the results of the simulations.
Circularly Polarized Antenna Array For Ism Frequency Band 24 Ghz
Liyambo, Evans
In this paper, a circularly polarized antenna array designed for operation at 45 GHz is redesigned to operate at 24 GHz. The antenna has a wide impedance bandwidth of 33 %, a 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 8.3 % and high gain performance. By using thicker substrates, the impedance bandwidth of the antenna was improved without changing its initial configuration. The antenna was designed in CST Microwave Studio.
Circularly polarized antenna array for ISM frequency band 24 GHz
Liyambo, Evans ; Cupal, Miroslav (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
Waveguide-SIW transitions
Bednarský, Vojtěch ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Špůrek, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the design of waveguide transitions. In this work I describe two usually used types of waveguides and that is classical rectangular waveguide with standardized designation WR-10, which is designed for working frequency 94GHz. The second type will be a waveguide integrated into the substrate called SIW. In the first part, numerical models of waveguides are calculated and transitions are created. Numerical models are simulated in CST Microwave Studio. Transitions are constructed in two types. Horizontal transition and orthogonal transition. The results of the first part are obtained dimensions of parameters from numerical models and S-parameters of transition sets.
Network for high-frequency on-body communication
Halas, David ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kokolia, Martin (advisor)
This work focuses on the design of a network for high-frequency communication on the human body. The thesis is focused on the design of two-band antennas, namely 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. The antenna is integrated into the textile and works close to the human body. The introduction describes the problem of spreading electromagnetic waves along the human body. Further, the thesis deals with the applicability of different types of antennas for integration on the textile substrate. Based on the simulations performed, a suitable antenna is selected for the purpose. The simulation program used is the CST Microwave Studio. In the end, the antennas were optimized, subsequently manufactured and their parameters measured.
