Y Soft Campus - the semi-abandoned shooting range area in Brno-Pisarky

This project is located in Brno-Pisarky behind the Anthropos museum and along the Svratka river. This draft involves a residence of the quickly growing company "Y Soft" which has already outgrown its current land. Besides this land there are other companies and service trades located here, such as a grocery store, kindergarten etc., but also living spaces and big sports grounds. The firm itself is divided into more buildings that are connected by an organically shaped hall made of glass.

The proposal is a Creative incubator, a key building of creative center, which offers space for talented people, graduates and entrepreneurs operating in the creative industries. The idea is to keep these people and bring others to enable them to implement and improve on the professional level. Creative incubator allows linking agents various creative professions such as architecture, design, photography, painting, music, clothing design, advertising, etc.)

New Old Brno Return of living to the city centres

The thesis deals in its first part with the urban design of the brownfield site in Brno in the Old Brno district. The analytical part deals with the issue of the zoning of urban plan and the results of the Mendel Square architectural competition. The proposed urban solution is based on a traditional block of flats combined with a solitaire and defines various public spaces. In the second part, the architectural design of a typical block and four multifunctional apartment buildings in it is proposed.

Town planing study "Zbrojovka"

Master’s thesis addresses the problem of one of the largest brownfields in Brno, site of the former weapons factory, Zbrojovka Brno. The resulting solution is the revitalization of the area into an attractive urban structure offering a variety of spaces for self fulfillment of various groups of people represented by permanent residents, as well as temporary visitors. From the urban point of view the area is divided into a quiet zone along the banks of the river Svitava designated for housing, recreation and relaxation, the central part of mixed areas for trade, services and housing, and the administrative section along the railway line separating the living area from noise emiting railway. From an architectural point of view there is a symbiotic combination of the historical legacy of industrial buildings with contemporary concept of modern architecture into one functional unit.

Analysis and a Proposal of a Way of Using Brownfields in Brno

This thesis deals with the issue of re-use of brownfields. The main aim of the thesis is to find the best possible use of a specific brownfield in the city of Brno. The subject of this draft is a brownfield called Bývalý hotel Metropol located in the Brno district of Trnitá. The draft solution is based on analyzes of the given site and is elaborated in three possible variants which are evaluated in therm of implementation costs and expected returns.

The theme of the thesis is a study of the project of „brownfield“ conversion of ex used cotton factory hall PERLA, Bavlnářské závody, A.s in Ústí nad Orlicí city. Prepartory work has dealt whole complex. Thesis follows up only study of a elected part. There are demolished, maintained and brand new objects with underground level garages. Urban and mass solution creates a complex of buildings with a city-forming character and allows going follow the area.

Production buildings, Production of aquariums in Brno

The aim of this bachelor thesis was designing a new industrial object and creating structural part of design documentation for a production hall in Brno Horní-Heršpice. This object is based on a architectural study made as part of subject AG035. Horní Heršpice is a city district located at southern side of Brno. At the plot there are few small buildings in desolate conditions, which are intended for demolition. Car service building in the eastern side of plot is preserved in my design. Architectural conception was to creace three graduating masses. Every mass has its own internal function – administrative building, production hall with a crane and production hall with storage facilities. Toghether they create one functional unit. From office hall emerges glazed exhibition space. Its load-bearing structure is made of subtle glass beams. This space represents aquarium. Skeletal structural system is made from precast concrete elements. For facade are used white sandwich facade panels. Roof panels at halls create gable roof. Administrative building has green terrace. To break the symmetry is used polygonal water feature. Above the water there is glass artwork and pier. Object is meant to represent company akvária-Pavlica with its elegance, minimalism and present technologies, used to create aquariums, in structural details.

Urban architectural design of the selected area by the river Svitava in Brno

The main objective of the proposal, processed in the thesis is editing the waterfront in the selected area Husovice and change the purpose of the current premises of the former Mosilana. The Island defined from the east River Svitava and from the west Mlýnský náhon offer housing funktion, possibilities of recreation in the public space with city character, as well as the public space with natural character. The former area Mosilana serve as a new commercial center with several smaller squares, shops, restaurants, café, information center, newspaper, studios, workshops, exhibition spaces, galleries and views of significant element - Svitava. Emphasis is put on the biking and walking trails on the right embankment of the river Svitavy. Also important is the arrangement of street Valchařská.
