Dynamic decision making based on iterations-spread-in-time strategy
Šindelář, Jan ; Křivánek, O.
This article describes a formal approach to decision making optimization in commodity futures markets. Our aim was to design optimal decision strategy generating decision at a given time. It contains theoretical description of estimation using Bayesian learning and approximate methods of dynamic programming. Finally, the original decision strategy using approximate methods of dynamic programming was designed. This strategy was tested by a series of experiments indicating our ability to construct pro table trading machine.

A proposal of flood geodatabase and its applications for flood control
Vlasák, Tomáš
(EN): Study of historical flood events is important as a base for hydrological studies, as well as for proposal of flood control measures and real-time flood forecasting helping forecasters to support their decisions. This work deals with proposal of Flood Archive (databa of flood event) and its application in the scope of flood protection of Otava river basin to Písek water gauge. The objective was to propose Archive of historical floods containing information about casual synoptical situation, connected weather phenomena (precipitation, temperature) and runoff response. Flood formation mechanism in Otava river basin was described using this Archive. A forecasting technique based on analogue method was designed. This technique searches historical records for flood events of similar causes and estimates possible development of runoff response. Archive consists of 72 flood events that occurred between 1890 and 2006 and their peak flow in all cases exceeded given threshold discharge in Písek closing profile (10-year return period for 1890-1961 and 1-year return period for 1961- 2006). Available historical data was gathered and processed into graphic form (maps, graphs, tables). Flood Archive is part of the dissertation thesis. The most outstanding features of flood formation mechanism in Otava river...

Feasibilities of improvement in sanitary care for patients in hospitals
MINÁŘOVÁ, Miroslava
The bachelor thesis deals with feasibilities of improvement in sanitary care for patients in hospitals. The paper aims at finding out whether the sanitary care carried out in hospitals corresponds to the needs of the patients and further at identifying factors impeding the provision of sanitary care according to the applicable standard. The paper also aims at suggesting new feasibilities of improvement in sanitary care for patients at bed departments. In view of these goals four research questions were set: 1) Does provision of sanitary care in hospitals correspond to the needs of patients? 2) Are the patients satisfied with the sanitary care provided by the medical staff? 3) What impedes the nurses in provision of quality sanitary care for the patients? 4) Is it feasible to improve the sanitary care for patients in bed departments? The method of qualitative research was applied for collection of research data. The questioning method by means of structured interviews with the patients was chosen. The questionnaire contained 17 closed questions. Further method was an unstandardized interview with the nurses containing 11 open questions. Another method was structured impartial monitoring of patients and nurses. The results were noted and entered into tables. The research file was made up by the in-patients and nurses in the Neuro Surgery Department of the University Hospital in Pilsen. By means of the research the level of sanitary care was surveyed, the impediments to its provision were identified and suggestions for its improvement were formulated. The aims of the research were fulfilled. Based on the analysis of responses in the practical part of the research, hypotheses were set based on the 1st and 2nd questions and based on the 3rd and 4th research questions answers were formulated. H1 {--} The sanitary care provided in hospitals corresponds to the needs of the patients. H2 {--} Patients are satisfied with help of medical staff when providing sanitary care. Response 1 {--} Nurses are impeded in providing quality sanitary care for patients by lack of time and lack of staff. Response 2 {--} Feasibilities of improvement of sanitary care for patients at bed department are respecting privacy of patients, washing the patients' hands before meals and provision of lifting devices for lying patients. The facts found out can help to realize the importance of sanitary care and to motivate to keep the existing good level of provision of care at the department the research was carried out at.

Návrh konstrukce nábytku pro zakázkovou výrobu
Rendl, Pavel
My diploma work deals with the dining tables issue. The objective is to establish cooperation with appropriate companies engaged in manufacturing of furniture and then propose the design in line with defined business requirements. The theoretical part deals with the typology table furniture, its history, the requirements imposed on this type of furniture and typological survey of the current state of the market. The practical part describes technological opportunities of a selected company and dinner table design. Process prototyping, assembling and final costing follows accordingly.

Energy balance of household
BROM, Jiří
The name of my thesis shows it is focus on thoroughly evaluation of energy balance of households to analyse their consumption and on this basis to propose saving measures. Secondly there is explanation of concept of energy, its generation and transmission. Finaly the most important and challenging part is analysis of individual consumptions, sorting and processing the results. To obtain an overall picture there are tables with all the details.

Evaluation of the economic development and a proposal of a strategy for financial management of a chosen company
Staník, Sebastian ; Špička, Jindřich (advisor) ; Kuchár, Róbert (referee)
The aim of this undergraduate dissertation is to evaluate the economic development of a chosen company based on the financial analysis between years 2010 and 2014. Furthermore, it identifies the its strengths and weaknesses, predicts a future development of the company and suggests the strategy for the financial management. The undergraduate dissertation consists of two parts. First theoretical part describes and explains individual methods of the financial and strategic analysis that were used for calculations. Second practical part applies the theoretical methods and theory to my chosen company. Practical part includes also tables and pictures. The results of the financial and strategic analysis are summarised in the conclusion, which helped to identify company's strengths and weaknesses, which suggest that the company retains a stable position on the market despite a strong competition. The company should even further consolidate its market position thanks to an incoming utilization of opportunities that are proposing and create a space for its growth. This analysis is aimed for the company owners, who can be satisfied with the financial situation of the company, because it shows adequate profitability, creates value and avoids bankruptcy. The results of the financial analysis point out also some issues that the company needs to focus on in the future. It is a liquidity problem, risk management of a net working capital and exceeded amount of inventories. Despite some of the identified issues, the company takes a second place in the intercompany comparison with its closest competitors.

Binary-Code Decoding to a High-Level Representation
Macko, Lukáš ; Soukup, Ondřej (referee) ; Matula, Peter (advisor)
The thesis deals with reverse techniques in software engineering. It presents practical application of software reverse engineering, used tools and approaches. The topic of instruction decoding is discussed in detail. Two basic methods are presented-linear sweep and recursive descent. Their strengths and weaknesses are highlighted. Subsequently a decompiler developed by AVG Technologies is introduced. The decompiler is retargetable. This feature allows to decompile applications of multiple platforms into various target languages. The aim of  the thesis is to design and implement algorithm for  decoding binary files into high-level representation. The designed algorithm is based on modified recursive descent algorithm, which uses control flow information. In order to achieve more accurate decoding results, symbol table records and other additional information are used. The proposed algorithm was implemented for the AVG Technologies retargetable decompiler. The tests showed that the implemented algorithm improved the function detection in decoded programs. Furthermore, the implemented solution allows to decode files that could not be analysed using the previous version of the decompiler.
