Stochastická simulace deformací textilních materiálů jako výplní v kompozitech
Tunák, M. ; Linka, A. ; Volf, Petr
A method for modeling and random generation of deformations and breaks in textile materials is developed. It considers both the breaking strengths of fibers and the structure of the fabrics. The MCMC procedure is used for the dynamic generation of breaks. Comparison with real strength-stress curves is made.

Calculation of bearing capacity and deformation of a road bridge and comparison with measured values
Štekbauer, Hynek ; Florian, Aleš (referee) ; Šafář, Petr (advisor)
This work consists of deformation measurement of a road bridge during crossing of excessive load, model formation for calculation and comparison between measured vertical deformation values and theoretical calculations. Designation of critical issues during model formation and result interpretation.

Ab initio studie magnetismu Ni a Co podél trigonální deformační dráhy
Zelený, Martin ; Šob, Mojmír
We have calculated the total energies of nickel and cobalt as a function of volume and trigonal deformation for various magnetic phases and found the phase boundaries between the FM and NM modifications. The calculated contour plots can be used for the understanding and prediction of lattice parameters and magnetic states of Ni and Co thin films on various fcc (111) metallic substrates.

Studium magnetismu kobaltu podél tetragonální deformační dráhy z prvních principů
Zelený, Martin ; Legut, Dominik ; Šob, Mojmír
We present a study of magnetic behavior of cobalt along the tetragonal deformation path at various atomic volumes. The total energies are calculated by full-potential linearized augmented plane waves (FLAPW) method incorporated in the WIEN2k code. Calculated total energies are displayed in contour plots as functions of tetragonal distortion and volume. Borderlines between various magnetic phases are shown.

Optical measurement of surface displacements in the vicinity of crack tip
Valach, Jaroslav ; Vavřík, Daniel ; Bryscejn, Jan ; Jakůbek, J.
Combined optical method for measurement of three displacement fields on flat specimens is described and applied for the evaluation of surface deformation of flat aluminum alloy specimen with central crack in tensile tests. The method utilizes two optical methods – Coded Photometry Stereo and the method of Interpolated Ellipses allowing the measurement to be performed simultaneously making it favourable for dynamical tests.

Stress rate and incremental principle of virtual work in finite deformations
Fiala, Zdeněk
Solution of finite deformation problems is sought in the space of all deformation tensor fields. Representation of a deformation process here as a trajectory makes us possible to further classify symmetric second-order tensor fields either as points, vectors, or covectors, and, as a consequence, assign them the corresponding time derivatives. However, as the space of all deformation tensor fields has proved non-euclidean, the time derivative of vector, and covector fields along the trajectory should be defined by the covariant derivative. This approach enables us coherently to formulate an incremental principle of virtual work, and propose the corresponding procedure in solving finite deformation problems.

The role of microstructure in racture behaviour of TiAl based intermetalics
Krahula, Karel ; Prokešová, Zdenka ; Dlouhý, Ivo
The contribution is focused on the analysis of the role of microstructural parameters in fracture behaviour of TiAl intermetalics at room and increased temperatures. Flexural strength and fracture toughness have been evaluated for alloys Ti-40Al-2Cr-2Nb-1B and Ti-46Al-0,7Cr-0,1Si-7Nb-0,2Ni. Positive effect of Nb on fracture resistance has been found; fracture toughness of the high Nb alloy increased at contemporary increase of flexural strength. Fracture surfaces have been evaluated using scanning electron microscopy showing the key role of mechanical twinning in deformation of both alloys followed. As a governing mechanism of crack nucleation microcrack formation at boundaries between mechanical twins and gama grains has been confirmed.

Vyšetřování turbulentního proudění v otevřeném kanálu s příčnými prahy
Příhoda, Jaromír ; Šulc, J. ; Sedlář, M. ; Zubík, P.
The contribution deals with the experimental and numerical modelling of turbulent supercritical flow over one and/or two transversal ribs with the cross-section 30x30 mm placed at the bottom of an open channel. Numerical simulation was carried out using the VOF (Volume-of-Fluid) method by means of the commercial software ANSYS CFX-11.0 for supercritical flow characterised by the Froudé number Fr = 2.2. The effect of the rib spacing on the extent of the separation region, the deformation of free surface and on the drag of individual ribs was primarily investigated. Numerical results were compared with experiments accomplished in the water channel with the cross-section 200x200 mm by means of PIV and LDA measuring methods. Optical methods were completed by the measurement of pressure distribution on rib surface in the channel centreline.

Dynamická-elektronická speklová interferometrie pro měření normálových posuvů
Dvořáková, Pavla ; Bajgar, Vlastimil ; Trnka, Jan
The contribution deals with the electronic speckle pattern interferometry(ESPI)used to study dynamic deformations. The out-of-plane transient motion of a thin steel plate was excited by focusing of a ruby laser beam. Study of transient phenomena was carried out by a double exposure method.

Elastické a tlumící vlastnosti pryžového elementu při laboratorním testování
Půst, Ladislav ; Pešek, Luděk ; Vaněk, František ; Cibulka, Jan
A sample of rubber element used for reduction of noise and vibrations of tram and railway wheel was loaded by harmonic force at different frequencies and amplitudes and by a constant preload. Measurements of forces and deformation were carried out by two separate apparatus sets. Method of data evaluation is explained. Results of this preliminary evaluation is presented and discussed.
