Waste horizon
Ochotná, Barbora ; Rypl Žabčíková, Ada (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The city is a place of accumulation, production and reproduction of production resources and consumption of goods, but waste typically accumulates outside it. It falls out of our horizon physically and mentally. The waste we produce changes the landscape and transforms the processes on earth without most of us visiting the "places of transformation". The project works with the idea of redirecting the final phase of the production chain back to the place of consumption by producing elements of public space from municipal waste. The presentation of waste leads to an awareness of its amount and degree of consumption. At the same time, waste becomes something much more ambivalent, possibly useful or even beautiful.
Hodnocení zpětného odběru elektrozařízení, odděleného sběru elektroodpadů a nakládání s nimi za roky 2017 a 2018
Šlégrová, Helena
Článek hodnotí evidenci toku zpětně odebraných elektrozařízení a odděleně sebraných elektroodpadů v rámci České republiky za roky 2017 a 2018. Evidenci jsou povinni zasílat výrobci, poslední prodejci, distributoři a pověření zástupci výrobců elektrických a elektronických zařízení, a to buď sami nebo prostřednictvím kolektivního systému. Podklady pro hodnocení evidence toku elektroodpadů použité v článku byly vzaty z roční zprávy o plnění povinností zpětného odběru elektrozařízení a odděleného sběru elektroodpadů.

Types of packaging and their representation in municipal waste
Kostková, Kateřina ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the types of packaging materials, related legislation and the use of packaging in practice. The research part of the work presents individual types of materials and their characteristics. An important part of waste treatment is the recycling and utilization of packaging waste. The work presents different recycling principles for individual materials. The practical part analyzes the individual representation of packaging materials of selected consumer products.
Design of briquetting press for metal chips
Matušková, Adéla ; Jelenčík, Branislav (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
This dissertation deals with design of briquetting press of metal splinters. Dissertation reacts to non-complexity of solutions of present products. Goal is to raise the attractivity of the machine and related increase in awareness of this machine with ecological and economic benefits. Dissertation emphasizes preservation of functionality, consideration of ergonomics and safety of the machine.
Influence Of Ambient Atmosphere To Active Material Of Disassembled Li-Ion Accumulator
Karmazinova, Katerina
At the present time the worldwide hot topic is recycling. How to deal with the product at the end of its life cycle? This paper is focused on recycling of active cathode material of lithiumion accumulators. The research considers the influence of ambient atmosphere on different types of lithium-ion accumulators within a time period. As the recycling method was chosen the solvent extraction. The results show a comparison of two the most common used cathode materials for lithium-ion accumulators – LiCoO2 and LiMn1/3Ni1/3Co1/3O2. At the forefront is the time period from disassembly the lithium-ion accumulator to extract cathode active material without structure changes due to the effect of the air atmosphere.
Recycling of used photovoltaic cells
Doros, Stanislav ; Kulovaná, Eva (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design a method of recycling / reutilization of photovoltaic panels at the end of their service life. In the theoretical part is introduced and described photoelectric effect, history, development, production methods and types of photovoltaic panels. Furthermore, the composition and structure of photovoltaic panels are discussed and the technologies currently used for recycling these panels for maximum energy savings are specified. The experimental part of the work is mainly focused on the development of a prototype device, which can measure the current efficiency of the used photovoltaic panels, based on a comparative method, and quickly determine in the field conditions the future reusability of the solar panel.
Recycling of clay bricks dust as granulate
Prokopová, Zdeňka ; Pavelka, Oldřich (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on recycling of brick sanding dust in the form of granulate produced on a pelletizing plate. The theoretical part describes the grog used in brick technology and possible methods of testing them. There are also examples of published experiments of how to produce or use artificial grog in the brick technology. There are also several examples of artificial grog that is currently available on the market. In the theoretical part, the behavior of the produced granulate from brick sanding dust on a pelletizing plate in a plastic dough was verified in laboratory conditions, then especially its behavior after passing through a laboratory roller mill. The change in granulometry and shape of the grog was evaluated. The distribution, granulometry and shape of the grog and the thermal conductivity of the fired shard were evaluated. For comparison, the standard used grog was used, namely quartz sand and quarry stone. Based on the results, it can be said that brick sanding dust granulate can at least partially replace another type of grog, but more extensive research is needed.
Harvesting of materials from wastewater and sludge
Boubínová, Marie ; Chorazy, Tomáš (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of recycling raw materials from wastewater and sewage sludge with emphasis on phosphorus. The first part of the thesis deals with the problems associated with resources of phosphorus, the use of the legislative and recycling of phosphorus. Then, physico-chemical and biological methods of phosphorus recycling from wastewater and products of their further processing at WWTPs are discussed. Phosphorus recycling is also described in terms of the circular economy, which is explained at the end of the first part of this thesis. The second part of this thesis is a technical-economic research for a specific WWTP over 50 thousand. PE in the Czech Republic. The available technologies for recycling phosphorus from wastewater, sewage sludge and sewage sludge ash are described alsonhere. Then, the technologies are compared and evaluated.
Aspects of the disposal and recykling of photovoltaic panels in CR
Papírek, Jan ; Mikšík, František (referee) ; Kotlík, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the assessment of the possibilities of disposal of photovoltaic panels installed in the Czech Republic. In addition to the basic theory of photovoltaic cells and panels, the theoretical parts describe legislation, subsidies in the field of photovoltaics and the development of photovoltaics in the Czech Republic. As part of recycling, their methods, work with the collective system, as well as the impact on the environment are analyzed. In the experimental part, using the data of the installed capacity and the average weights of the panels, various projections of the disposal of the panels over time are made, which take into account factors such as the life of the power plant or the capacity of the recycling line. Furthermore, according to the available literature, an analysis of the revenue from the sale of recycled materials contained in panels installed in our territory is performed. Subsequently, the needs of future implementers of proven estimates of labor and logical demands were assessed. Finally, an economic evaluation of the fundamental aspects of the FRELP recycling process was performed and the net prices of different recycling directions were determined.
