Production and usage of biogass in South Bohemia
KALINOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor's thesis deals in particular with comparison of biogas production in individual biogas stations in the South Bohemian Region. In addition, the thesis describes fundamental parameters such as year of commissioning, installed electric output, installed thermal output, input material and employed technologies. Based on the foregoing information, it is possible to conclude that the individual biogas stations have a positive impact not only on the utilization of the produced biogas for energy purposes but also on the environment, waste degradation, reduction of the risk of contamination and acquisition of high-quality fertilizer.

The intilization of waste heat from biogas plants
ZAJÍC, Pavel
?Utilization of waste heat from biogas stations? The thesis is focused on problems of utilization of waste heat which is created during combustion of biogas in cogeneration units. The utilization of residual heat enables to significantly increase the energetic efficiency of existing and newly built biogas stations. There is the description of the biogas station in Třebon and the technical and economic analysis of solutions to the physical separation of production and utilization of biogas in the place of heat consumption. This case, where the produced biogas is transported by a gas pipeline to the newly built space for heat consumption, is one of the prospective solutions how to use the available heat from biogas stations.

Not In My Back Yard effect - attitude of local people to a planned construction of biogas plant
Novotná, Miroslava ; Melichar, Jan (advisor) ; Kaprová, Kateřina (referee)
The aim of the thesis is a research of the "Not In My Back Yard" effect, a negative attitude of local people to a construction of a new and potentially dangerous project in their vicinity. The thesis quantifies strength of the NIMBY effect in Městec Králové, a town where a biogas plant is planned to be constructed. The hypothesis is that the strength of the NIMBY effect is higher for the people who live in a higher proximity to a planned construction than for the people who do not.The hypothesis is evaluated based on data gained by an own survey conducted among residents of the town.Quantification of the NIMBY effect is more frequently a subject of research of foreign studies; empirical studies of biogas plants are rather rare. From this reason I have implemented a study of population of Městec Králové and tried to prove whether presence of the "Not In My Back Yard" effect can be indicated.
