The early mediaeval fortifications with a frontal stone mantle in Central Europe

The presented work deals with the fortification with a frontal stone mantle in the area of Central Europe. It summarizes the current state of research with regard to the extension of the phenomenon, construction knowledge and chronological and cultural aspects. It also treats of some methodological problems in study of fortifications. The type in question was widely used in the Early Middle Ages in the Frankish area as well as in the Slavic one, the construction differences of the fortifications with a dry laid stone wall represent various manners of their usage reflecting territorial traditions. The Frankish origin of this fortification type is probable based on chronological reasons, historically attested contacts and influences on other parts of Slavic architecture and the lifestyle of the elite.

Analysis and evaluation of internal communication in a particular firms

The aim of this thesis is to highlight the important aspects in internal company relationships focusing on corporate culture and internal communication. The theoretical terms such as information, communication, motivation, work motivation, organizational culture, domestic corporate communications and their interrelationships are described in the introductory part. The background and knowledge of the theoretical parts are used in the analysis of two specific companies (the first is a Czech middle-sized company with a long tradition and the other is the Czech branch of multinational pharmaceutical corporation) in the practical part. Data were collected by questionnaire, supplemented by personal interviews with staff and management of both companies. Data were evaluated according to several criteria, mostly according to corporate nationality and job title (ordinary employee, manager, top manager). The analysis found many failures in internal communication in both companies, especially in communicating with ordinary employees. Comparing the two companies showed that the level of internal communication in the Czech company is at significantly lower level than in a company with a strong foreign background. Based on the results of analysis and knowledge of internal communication issues were the two companies at the end of the analysis provided with the concrete measures to improve their corporate culture through internal communication. Overall, the results of the practical part indicated that the corporate culture and internal communication are still underestimated in the environment of Czech firms and at a lower level in comparison with foreign companies.

Miroslava Stupková Nabatejské náboženství v proměnách The Transformation of Nabataean Religion Nabataean religion is a kind of synthesis of pre-Islamic Arabian polytheistic tradition merged together with religious aspects of Aramaic population and helenistic religious imagination and ideas of the ancient Middle East. The highest God of Nabateans is Dushara and his female partners were al-'Uzza and Allat. Those Arabien astral deities were worshipped in aniconic way, it means, in shape of standing stones, so called betyls. Some characters and functions of Greek Gods were attributed to the nabataean deities during the reign of various Nabataean kings.

Internet Freedom as a Tool of U.S. Foreign Policy in Relation to the Arab Spring

Abstract1 Internet Freedom as a Tool of U. S. Foreign Policy in Relation to the Arab Spring analyzes political speeches of Hillary Clinton concerning "Internet Freedom" policy. I try to find out if there is some evidence supporting criticism about this issue using Critical Diskourse Analysis. As a result of this I have discovered that Clinton's approach is very weak primarily in transparency and regulation issues. I claim that the purpose of "Internet Freedom" is not to break the balance of power in the Middle East and cannot be seen as an extension of the traditional human rights. Structure of genetics resources and the actual use of einkorn (\kur{Triticum monococum }L.) in the Czech Republic

Purpose of this thesis is analysis of the whet genetic resources (Triticum monococcum L.), availability of einkorn seeds in the Czech Republic, the condition of cultivation and treat in the Czech Republic. The first part of my thesis deals with an organic farming in our country and also in the European Union. The following chapter are involved in choice of species and varieties and the information about non-traditional cereals. The accent is on characteristic, agro-technology and utilization of einkorn. For the presentation of results are used the data from database EVIGEZ.

Analysis and Interpretation of visual art in the films of Andrei Tarkovsky

The aim of the Bachelor thesis "Analysis and Interpretation of visual art in the films of Andrei Tarkovsky" is to examine the relationship between cinematography and visual arts using the film "Solaris" (1972) by the soviet director Andrej Tarkovsky as an example. This topic is subdivided into two parts. The first part of the study focuses on the subject of perspective in relation to the theory of art history and film, with attention to the concept of "perspective" from the period of the Italian Quattrocento. The second part is concerned with the usage of "living pictures" (fr. tableaux vivant) in the work of Andrej Tarkovsky, more precisely, the role of the cycle "The Return of the Prodigal Son" by Rembrandt van Rijn in the film "Solaris" (1972). The main objective of the thesis is to answer the questionː to what extent painting as a traditional form of visual arts influences cinematography.

Indian painting - a history of cultural dialogues

This bachelor thesis attempts to dissert about the symbolical (art) reflection of chosen socio-cultural changes indigenous to repetitional situations of acultural process in the historical context of the Indian subcontinent. The changes will be pursued within the temporal range of the Middle Ages, the Colonial Period, the Era of Modern India (since 1947), till the present. The key topics discussed in the thesis are also the postcolonial prospecting of an authentic cultural identity and the cultural challenge of globalization trespassing Indian culture - as well as its art. The thesis will provide the reflection of concrete problems relating religious heterogeneity, social life and social identity, gender and human sexuality, which have been mirroring in fine arts of the historically changing Indian context. The idiomatic dialogue in between single art traditions is also implied within the thesis as a crucial thematic component.

Komunální bytová politika a privatizace bytového fondu (na příkladě města Brna)

Práce hodnotí realizaci komunální bytové politiky města z hlediska nakládání a hospodaření s bytovým fondem. Zaměřuje se zejména na hodnocení průběhu privatizace bytového fondu jak v ČR, tak v městě Brně, a na zhodnocení důsledků privatizace bytového fondu. První kapitola představuje úvod do problematiky, druhá kapitola analyzuje, jaké možnosti hospodaření s bytovým fondem se obcím nabízí, analyzuje možnosti správy bytového fondu a možné způsoby privatizace bytů a domů. Důraz je kladen také na koncepční činnost obcí. Třetí kapitola rozebírá dokumenty upravující bytovou politiku Brna. Čtvrtá kapitola je více analytická, hodnotí správu a hospodaření s bytovým fondem v Brně, průběh privatizace, obsahuje i komplexní zhodnocení bytových politik měst Brna, Prahy, Ostravy, Ústí nad Labem a Plzně na základě bodového ohodnocení vybraných ukazatelů.

Statistical comparison of bank products in selected banks

The thesis analyzes current and saving accounts, term deposits, and consumer loans of seven Czech retail banks, which includes three established and four niche competitors. The statistical development is elucidated with a time series analysis, revealing a sharp contrast of traditional and niche competitors' growth. In addition, the thesis includes a questionnaire which improves understanding of customers´ bank and bank product preferences, providing a sound basis for further qualitative examination. Finally, after evaluation of overall results, recommendations were proposed to the banks as well as their clients.

Change in management of nursing care in Hospital Přerov

Nursing is an integral part of medical care in all the type of medical facilities for a long time. Middle, lower an auxiliary personnel participate on this care. The number of this staff is much higher than number of physicians. On this account it is necessary take attention for nursing care organization which over the last twenty years pas through a revival in our country and it is focused on quality of care. This paper presents in theoretical part at first the history of nursing, changes in this field since Ancient Egypt to today's time. The second part presents problems of organization structure and manners of personnel management in any type of organization structural arrangement. Culture which is integral part of management is also presented in this part. The main subject of theoretical part is the change and its development and following methods of management. Two methods of change loading are described - by model of Lewin and Donnelly and co-workers. Practical part is written as a case study and presents diagnostics of nursing personnel management in Hospital Přerov since February 2006. That changes product recommendation followed by pivotal change of nursing management - from four levels functional driving to three level.
