The evaluation of an impact of subsidies on a prosperity and calculations of agricultural companies in the czech republic

The principal aim of this thesis is to investigate the possible impacts of governmental interventions on the agricultural sector in the Czech Republic in order to propose possible deductions and identify possible gaps. Focus will be placed on the research results of a selected group of companies. Firstly, the most significant subsidies are outlined along with a brief overview of their acquisition. This is followed by an analysis of ratios and correlation coefficients of accounting information obtained from concrete agricultural companies in order to pinpoint possible connections with the aforementioned subsidies and their consequential governmental impact. Thesis also summarizes discussion between economists and offers its own logical deductions and explicates results of the analysis dealing with questionable topics.
EFFECT OF SUBSIDIES FROM EU TO DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Small and medium enterprises are the European Union seen as the backbone of the European economy. The European Union spends a large amount of funds which are provided for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. This thesis deals with the influence of European subsidies for the development of small and medium enterprises in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part presents the structural funds and shows why the EU seeks to promote small and medium enterprises. The second part deals with operating the program, from which small and medium-sized enterprises can receive subsidies. It also discusses the effectiveness of pumping. The third section quantifies the transaction costs of obtaining grants. The fourth section, using statistical data and studied the three criteria, examines the impact of subsidies on the development of SMEs and the Czech Republic.
Analysis of the Development of Agriculture

Agriculture has not been a mean of securing a food for nations for a long time. Today, thanks to the European union policy, the business activities of agricultural enterprises head towards to the energetics industry and to other industries like heating, forestry or services that enable the companies to diversify their activities beyond the borders of the primary sector. The reasons for a decision of extending the strategic focus of business are many: smaller dependency on weather, better market position in the relevant micro environs, more effective use of agricultural land, local energetic self-sufficiency. This thesis analyses especially the transition of the Czech agriculture from the concept of securing the food self-sufficiency of the state towards to the concept of securing energetic self-sufficiency of the state, facilitated by the renewable energy sources produces by farmers, and other development trends in the Czech agriculture in the European transnational, Czech national and local business context.
Are the government subsidies to agriculture actualy in the interest of consumers?

This bachelor's thesis investigates an influence of agricultural grants over the eating habit of Czech consumer. Increasing world-wide trend of overweighted people is very obvious also in Czech republic. This thesis therefore tries to discover, whether there has been a correlation between agricultural production and structure of the consumers diet. Although considerable dependence of agricultural production on grants was proved, it can't be said that the grants themselves are primary cause of the wrong eating habits. At the close of the thesis is proven that a demand after foodstuff is non-elastic, consumer's preferences can be thus affected by grant policy only slightly.
Rural tourism from the perspective of European funds

Analysis of the use of subsidies from the Rural Development Programme for the improvement of market opporunities (eco-farms South Bohemian Region)

The thesis is focused on evaluating the engagement of organic farms in South Bohemia in Rural Development Programme ? Axis I (improving the competitiveness of the agricultural, food and forestry sectors) and Axis III (improving quality of life in rural areas and diversification of rural economy).Literature gives a basic overview of the Common agricultural policy, organic farming and how to obtain grants from the European Union. In introduction of practical part are presented the basic statistic data about the organic farming in South Bohemian Region. The next chapter is focused on the use of subsidies in organic farming and on the controlling of authorize projects. At the end of this thesis are presented chosen successful projects.
Analyse the economy of Předín municipality

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the economy of Předín municipality in years 2006 ? 2010. In the work there are described important changes in accounting and taxes systems, which were introduced by the public finances reform. The accounting of the municipality is also presented by practical examples. Information for treatment of the thesis are derived from accounting statements: balance sheet, profit and lost statement and Fin statement, which were provided by Municipal office Předín. The analyse is separated into several chapters. At first it deals with admitted and provided subsidies, which are the main part of the municipal financial management. The subsidies are granted from state budget as well as from European Union structural funds. Second part analyzes income and expenses in individual years. The influence of income and expenses is expressed by horizontal and vertical analysis. The last chapter focused on indicators of financial analysis, especially debt indicators, which are important for evaluation of minicipality financial health nad controled by Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic.
Financing of delegated powers of municipalities in the Czech Republic

The aim of this diploma paper was to evaluate the current state of development and financing of delegated powers of municipalities in the Czech Republic. Development financing was assessed for the period 1993 - 2003. Specifically, were monitored tax, non-tax and capital revenues, grants and current and capital expenditures. An analysis found that total revenue and expenditure in the period grew almost identically. Revenue increased primarily due to growth in tax revenues and increased subsidies. Expenditure increased depending on the growth of prices, but also due to broader range of tasks delegated by the state to municipalities. The intended goal was achieved by using analysis of entitlement subsidies and an allowance for the state administration. Analysis of entitlement grants was done in all municipalities in the Czech Republic for the period 2001 - 2010 and specifically the communities of South Region for the period 2003 - 2010. Using both analysis revealed that entitlements constitute a substantial share of subsidies in total subsidies received and this proportion increases with the increasing population. Analysis of the contribution to the state administration was performed in all 623 villages of South County. The villages were divided into five categories, depending on the extent of delegated powers. By analyzing the contribution to the state administration was established, how the allowance in each year, what was the cause of change and what was the structure contribution to the state administration of the individual categories.
Legal aspects of navigating the Vltava in Southern Bohemia

The objective of this thesis is analyzing the legal aspects of the completion Vltava waterway in the southern Bohemia, namely the legal relations arising from contract for work in construction, which was closed during the project and compare some selected parts of the contract with § 536 - § 565of Czech Commercial Code. Another objective is to analyze the financing of the project, especially in view of the Transport Operational Programme of the European regional development fund.
The use of subsidies by the RDP Axis III, measure 1 for the development of South Bohemian Region

The thesis focuses on the use of the Rural Development Programme, Axis III, detail, measure 1, the development of rural areas in South County. Compares the situation in the South Region with the national development in this area. In order to address the author analyzes the use of financial aid on the basis of submitted projects. The author also carried out a survey among business operators and other beneficiaries, the extent to which their activities were beneficial to the objectives of the RDP. The aim of the work will be analyzing the specific conditions for diversification in southern Bohemia and their evaluation based on projects financed by the Rural Development Programme. The paper will use historical methods of analysis, logic and comparative analysis with the use of statistical data.
