The impact of Turkish-Armenian relations on the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
Kotásková, Tereza ; Cibulková, Petra (advisor) ; Havlová, Radka (referee)
The unsolved conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh and problematic Turkish-Armenian relations are the main sources of instability in South Caucasus. For historic and ethnic reasons, both Azerbaijan and Armenia claim the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkey closed its border with Armenia as an expression of solidarity with Azerbaijan during the Nagorno-Karabakh war in the early nineties. Azerbaijan was military defeated and Armenia took control over one fifth of the Azerbaijani territory. Signing two protocols on the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia in 2009 raised hopes that this could have a positive impact also on the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. If the protocols were ratified, this assumption would be probably fulfilled. However, the protocols have not been ratified so far. Considering other factors, any significant progress in any of these issues cannot be expected in the near future.

The European Union ran in the process of expanding into one of the most controversial decisions of all time. This is a very inconsistent move in terms of political and economic, social, but also geographically. Does the EU accept Turkey among the members of of his family? In my thesis I will try to answer this tricky question. I will focus on the positive and negative aspects of the Turkey's admittance. On one hand I will try to refer to the economic and political benefits, on the other hand I will focus on the current and future impacts of the coming Turkey's access into the EU.
Immigration politics in the Czech Republic and in the chosen countries of the European Union
PAVEL, Paula-Mirabela
The aim of this work is to show very big and strong phenomenon which dramatically influence the economic and social situation of the advanced countries, the immigration. A very great number of immigrants arrive from abroad to these countries for different reasons. The immigrants came to Western Europe after Second World War for a better life. But Czech Republic as a former socialistic state has other experience with immigrants. Earlier the government decided who should work or study on the territory of Czech Republic. These foreigners were actually from other socialistic countries. After the disintegration of communism in 1989, Czech Republic accorded favorable working conditions and the government realized that it is necessary to have good laws to control the legal and illegal arrival of immigrants and their rights and obligations. Denmark never had any experience with communism and immigrants from Turkey in the sixties were welcomed. Romanian situation is different. There is still lack of working stations, that{\crq}s why there are not many immigrants.
