Reactive power compensation of electrothermal devices
Tomeš, Martin ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
The work deals with reactive-power compensation (power factor correction = PFC) in practice. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of power factor correction, reasons for the PFC, and the ways of the PFC, eventually a sanction for a breach of rated power factor. Attention is given to basic partition of the PFC and compensation devices which are capacitors and detuning reactors. The practical part is focused on the PFC analysis for a concrete customer where the central compensation is projected. The practical part is also focused on a detuned power factor correction which is often used by reason of increases in number of nonlinear loads nowadays.

Sláma, Jan ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with eletrical calculations of long stabilized 400 kV power lines. The main objective is to determine the eletrical parameters of power line beginning in case the parameters of line end are known for various power factors. Also the calculation methods of power lines is generally dealt with. Power-voltage way of computation and a method of exact solution was used for the calculations as to control the results.
Reactive power changes at the TSO-DSO interconnection point by RES power factor regulation
Pololáník, Pavel ; Fiala, Zbyněk (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the long-term development of active, and primarily reactive energy flow at 110/22 kV distribution transformation points in the E. ON distribution network. It compares two different areas (city vs. countryside), differing in type of used distribution network and in composition of decentralized energy resources. Another point of this thesis is to describe current controlling possibilities for decentralized resources installed to the voltage level of 22 kV considering reactive power compensation. Thesis introduces proposed methods and conditions used in remote mass controlling of power factor of decentralized resources. There is mentioned an evaluation of an already performed test whose purpose was to verify possibility of influencing reactive power at the interconnection point between distribution and transmission system. The factors causing the overflow reactive power were analysed. In this thesis were analysed factors, which causing overflow reactive power from distribution to the transmission system. This analysis will be the basis for future use of mass reactive power regulation.
Automatic Voltage Control of Distributed Generation in the E.ON Medium Voltage Grid
Skoupý, Martin ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
Content of this master`s thesis is theoretical introduction of the power factor, reactive power and voltage control of decentralised sources of the high voltage in the E.ON distribution network. Furthermore, the thesis deals with possibilities of regulating the power factor and reactive power, carried on above-mentioned resources, in other to stabilize the voltage and overflow control of the reactive power to higher voltage level. The practical part describes how the automatic power factor and voltage control had been put into action by central management control within the headquaters dispatching systém of the company. Following chapter acquaints a reader with information of how the automatic power factor and voltage control had been tested and how it is utilized in practice. In the conclusion the work summarizes results and effects of the power factor regulation and voltage control to stabilize the voltage and the overflow of the reactive power in the E.ON network.
The Methodics of TC Addition to the Power Infrastructure
Trůčka, Martin ; Zíka, Josef (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of Bachelor work is to describe the methodology of TC addition to the power infrastructure. The first part is focused on a description of TC features and also on the way how to add TC to the power infrastructure. The thesis also contains other possibilities of solution with respect to the theoretical resources. The attention is also focused on a particular method of projecting TC addition to the power infrastructure to achieve maximum protection against power failure and other phenomena.
Reactive Power Compensation of The Industrial Consumer
Hanzelka, Jiří ; Holoubek, Jiří (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on reactive power compensation and it suggests new conceptions for industrial customers. The first part describes the basics of compensation, location and ways of compensation. In conclusion of this part it is a good example of parallel reactive power compensation. The second part deals with the design of reactive power compensation specifically for raw water pumping station. Compensation was solved both on a low voltage level and on the high voltage level. For drawings were used program EPLAN Electric P8.
Design of permanent magnet generator
Štencl, Michal ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This thesis deals with electromagnetic design of synchronous generator with permanent magnets. The aim of this work is verify already made prototype of generator, which after testing has problem with warming of permanent magnets and winding. The work includes electromagnetic design of the machine, simulation through RMxprt and comparison with prototype of generator. The thesis includes also simulations operating conditions through Maxwell 2D and Maxwell 3D.
Reconfiguration of an industrial distribution system including local power source integration
Benetka, Tomáš ; Holoubek, Jiří (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with reconfiguration of industrial network that has been technologically reconstructed. The aim of this study is mostly to describe changes made on devices used for reactive power compensation and improving the power quality. Thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part of thesis deals with parameters used for judging power quality and causes of changes for these parameters, eventually with devices for its adjustment. Standard demands for these parameters are also included. Further, reactive power compensation, extract of reactive power appliance and their influence on power network is described in this thesis. In the second - practical - part devices used for reactive power compensation were reconstructed. This part is also focused on local energy source integration and usage of power electronic engineering products for power quality provision.
Stabilized operation of the 220 kV power line
Staněk, Pavel ; Ptáček, Michal (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of solving lines under voltage levels of very high transmission voltage and extra high voltage. The first, theoretical part of this paper analyses different methods how such lines are solved. In particular, an accurate solution is provided simulated by means of a line with evenly distributed parameters, and an approximate solution simulated by means of a line with lumped parameters. Furthermore, special cases of steady running conditions of the line are reviewed, such as no-load running, short-circuit and line operation with natural load. In conclusion of the theoretical part is given a general method of solving an extra-high-tension and extra high voltage network; also, some graphical methods of solving such networks are shown including their brief description. The second, practical part of the present paper involves application of the above mentioned methods of solution on a specific line with given parameters, solving conditions at the power line under steady running conditions and in special cases of the line operation. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the obtained results.

Plucnara, Roman ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
The aim is to describe the issue of compensation factor. The thesis describes the methods and individual implementation of compensation unit from rotating compensators, used until now protected compensation section and active filters. It also describes the influence of processing and elimination of higher harmonics present in the compensated circuits. The following are simple phasor diagrams and relevant patterns. The practical part shows these preconditions used to create laboratory exercises. Individual solve specific practical task illustrate the importance of reactive power compensation is using sophisticated, compensation elements used, for example, reactive power regulators. It reflected the simplest possible compensation the power factor, using the manual switching of capacitor banks.
