Štaif, Vít ; Voráček, Emil (advisor) ; Eichler, Jan (referee) ; Anděl, Petr (referee)
An Abstract The text focuses on the aim of the state politics to gain the position of the first global hegemony after the end of the Cold War. It observes, with the regard to the wide-ranging influence of the USA at that time, and to the important American visions about its character, especially their particular decisions. It tries to describe the way, which the other influential participants of the global politics, the states as well as those of other kind, used to express their reactions to this activity, and their relation to the USA, the strongest contender in the effort to acquire the first global hegemony. The power contest is here mainly introduced by the insight into the course of the conflicts, which they, after the end of the Cold War, faced and influenced. The text concentrates on those political and security challenges with, apart from the policies of the USA, the strong presence of the intervention of the international organizations, above all the UN, the NATO and the EU, or of the occassionally created alliances. The prospects of hegemonial possibilities is presented in the conclusion.

A comparison of calculations of wage encumbrance upon entrepreneurial entities in the Czech Republic and EU countries
VAZDOVÁ, Eva
The Bachelor?s thesis focuses on the comparison of calculations of salary burden of an entrepreneurial entity in the Czech Republic and within EU countries, in particular Germany. The Bachelor?s thesis is structurally divided into two parts. The first part contains a basic definition of terminology ? what is an employment relationship, definition of an employee and an employer, minimum salary and working hours. The second part focuses on a comparison of labour costs at entrepreneurial entities in the Czech Republic and European Union countries, in particular Germany. As Germany directly borders the Czech Republic, the German salary system is entirely different from the Czech system. The work shows particular examples where an employee receives the same gross salary and examples where employers have the same labour cost per one employee. These examples are assessed. The overall discovered information results in the fact that employees in Germany have a higher income and the employers lower labour costs despite their salary calculations and categorising employees within salary categories are, in my opinion, far more complex.

I have used SWOT analysis tool to show different aspects which influence current level and further possibilities for cooperation. The study finds that, the EU is presently a major investor and trade partner of Azerbaijan. Up to latest time, the main factor of cooperation was the country's energy resources. However, later Azerbaijan has enlarged its participation by enrollment in the EU Eastern Partnership agreement and European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) and is currently closely working with the EU in a number of areas. Azerbaijan is seeking for the membership in the WTO which can potentially facilitate trade flows between the two parties and bring the country closer to the European market.
EU Energy Policy - Selected Problems of Electricity Market
Zezula, Michal ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Horák, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with selected problems of the electricity market in the European Union. Existence of vertically integrated companies limits proper functioning of the single electricity market, therefore the EU supports liberalization process aiming to create competitiveness in electroenergetic area. This would enhance safety and reliability of distribution and consequently it would lead to higher efficiency in electrical production and consumption, lower prices for end-users and sustainable development with respect to environment. One of the main instruments in the liberalization process is proprietary separation of electricity production and distribution, i.e. unbundling. This thesis explains the current performance of the electricity market and evaluates changes that could be reached by liberalization process.
